I made the mistake of not using the hotel for reservations -something I will never do again. Do not use Get A Room, they will mislead you and direct you to several Get A Room customer service reps of which none could do anything but point fingers at the other. After trying several times and going in fast phone tag circles I gave up. I have spread the word and encouraged bad reviews on all review related sites. That alone is worth it to me.

In response to my previous review: I want to thank Kristin with GetARoom for working with me to resolve the issue I had when I thought I was booking directly with the hotel but was actually booking with a third party site. It is too complicated to go into detail but I was happy that she was able to resolve the problem. For her help and understanding, I am very thankful.

My condolences to anyone that takes the bait, books with them and is met with their headache of a customer disservice. There is no way to give negative or zero stars which is a shame - because what else will you give the pathetic, next to nothing service that Getaroom provides. Do yourself a favor and book directly or with any other business.
Autofill filled in the guest name as my brother's and then some hidden costs appeared after the booking. I tried to cancel the booking - but wait cancellation once your money is out of the door is not a possibility.
Then to change the name on the request - after 3 days, 11 phone calls to 3rd party Getaroom hires to the third party that that third party hires - to the hotel the booking is with - they just made me go in in circles. FOR A NAME CHANGE. Today is the day of the check in - and this hasn't still been fulfilled.
An agent said - we will help you with the cancellation just call us back in 24 hours. Then when I called the next day the agent said the last agent made a mistake. Just a big hot mess with absolutely unhelpful reps.
Terrible, headachy and painful. If you need to ruin your vacation definitely work with Getaroom.

Oh and Getaroom saved me 85 cents on this mess of a booking from the screenshot. I guess congratulations to me?

We called the hotel direct but somehow ended up at getroom.com. We were quoted Euro 218.00. For 2 persons for one night for a room in Wiesbaden, Germany. When checking my CC, to my surprise we were charged 370,26 Euro or ($431.06) Note the extra charges:
1. Subtotal €218,48
2. Resort Fees €46,73
3. Reservation Charges €75,24
4. Recovery Taxes €29,81
5. Total Charges €370,26

The site was okay to navigate. Hopefully the pics are a true representation of the hotel. Resort fees suck especially since pools and other amenities are not available due to covid
We are moving and we have emptied our House. We needed a place to stay for the evening. Went online and found get a room. It was a fast and easy process. And I found a cheap affordable room

Made payment with debit card was told card didn't work first time to try it again which I did to find out later double payment out of my acct booked in oct 29 and no money received yet just run around dealing with rude people any one have any suggestions on how to get money back

1st booking was wrongly advised as fully refundable and the website is denying it. I needed to update to 4 days instead of 2. The CS representative wanted to book a whole new 4 nights and "hopefully request a waiver on the first reservation" I was not willing to be stuck with $300+ on a duplicate wrongfully non-refundable 2 nights so I just went with 2 separate reservations. The new booking my e-mail confirmation shows refundable so that pleases me. Im seeing reviews that this website didn't pay the hotels so I'll be calling Golden Nugget to let them know this is all paid in full and be sure they get their money. This is my first and last time booking with getaroom.com
Getaroom booked a room for us in the wrong city and state. We called a representative directly at about 3:30PM who refused to change the booking claiming the time for cancellation had passed per hotel policy. We called the hotel directly and they stated that the cut off time for cancellation was 6:00pm. So the Getaroom representative lied and refused to help us.
However, after complaining on this site, customer service responded with a few hours to grant a refund. I appreciated that effort. I was unfortunate one customer service person made our experience difficult.

I tried to book a room utilizing the hotel's website. When I googled the hotel, and clicked on their website, I was unknowingly rerouted to this scam. I proceeded to book a reservation, and when the confirmation came, our rooms went from $93 per night to $176 per night. It was only when I called the hotel that I learned that getaroom.com, copies websites and deceives consumers. When I tried to cancel, 20 minutes later, I was told it's non-refundable. Do not book online. It allows these type of scammers, and takes money from the hotels, that employ our friends and neighbors!

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
