The person I spoke with went out of his way to try and book the hotel I wanted. However it was full, so, he found the next best option which was very close to my first choice
I am not sure what i am being charged but i was told that i was talking with the Hilton. When i first made the reservation, i was told one price and when i had to modify the date, i was given another rate. The rate that i should been charged is $89.00 plus tax per the hotel receipt and not $116+ (giving your company a large profit) that may have been charged to my Hilton Card. I was never told that i was using a 3rd party or i would have contact Hilton on my own and definitely paid the lower amount. In addition, i had issues with trying to make sure that i wasn't getting billed numerous times. Representatives that i spoke with gave me partial run arounds

Made a hotel booking. We actually thought we were calling the hotel directly and found out in the end that we were calling a booking agency in the United States. We are from Canada and were booking a room in Canada. We were never told that the room would be charged to us in US dollars and were also told that the booking would include breakfast. When we checked in and found out no breakfast and was told that we would have to contact the agency - GET A ROOM - to see about a refund. This was a real runaround and the room cost a lot more in American dollars than what we could have booked in Canadian. I would never use this agency again and do not want anyone else to get ripped off like this with the booking agency GETAROOM. They should rename GETRIPPEDOFF
Looked a little shady as I drove up the driveway. Checked in at the front desk bc it was a nonrefundable res. Checked the pool, looked filthy. Still felt a bit shady. Never went to the room. Stayed somewhere else.
Easy good price, had no problem booking a room. For February when snow birds are here Happy to get a room for a decent price

Booking was easy, but there is no option to put in notes or special requests. Im bringing 2 dogs but ended up calling the hotel instead of using the web page booking system... 40 minutes on the phone later, Im booked.
Getaroom had the lowest prices for hotel rooms and almost 40% cheaper than booking. Com. First time I used it but it was easy to book and confirm.
Our original booking was cancelled, we did not receive a confirmation as the e mail address it was being sent to was incorrect, but the correction was done and we have rebooked but at a higher price, which was not great $184.77 vs $258.38 was very disappointing and this is in US dollars which makes it quite expensive for us, but this was a later date than the original booking, so nothing could be done for us.
I had never heard of this site, but read good reviews. I booked very quickly and it was easy! I have not traveled yet to review the actual experience once I get to the hotel, but so far great! And the price was the best out there!
Only booked 1 night in Reno, shouldn't have been too hard. Agent was barely English speaking. I had to spell everything to her. The room was booked as smoking with 2 queen beds. I had requested non smoking, 1 king. She also told me this included all fees. I was a bit dubious and of course there was a $25 resort fee, which was on top of $24 of tax and convenience fees getaroom.com already charged. Won't be bothering with them again.
The price match guarantee is completely bogus. I called and the agent told me she did not have access to the internet and the website I was quoting was not in her system. I asked to price match from their very own website and she told me she couldnt see the prices from the sales side. This makes absolutely no sense. I cancelled my reservation and they charged me 25 bucks for their service. Unbelievable.
The process was easy, friendly associate. Got a good price for the weekend. In a good location with access to good restaurants and the freeway.
I found GetARoom exceptionally easy, both in making the reservation and cancelling it. Will use again.

I already left a review through some other platform. As I said, it was great to be dealing with an intelligent human being who was patient and not reading from a script and at the risk of sounding biased not in a foreign country. I had called to cancel a reservation, it was nonrefundable, but I thought I had hit the button for the wrong hotel, and since it was within a few minutes, the hotel had not processed it and I was able to get a refund. However, as she was working on that, I realize that I had chosen the right hotel afterwords, and she patiently went through the process again.

Answer: They are not ethical. For me, they used a website that appeared to be the actual hotel website, did not identify themselves when they should have, and did not mention booking fees while they charged a 30 percent booking fee for a room that was its normal price. They were supposed to cancel charges on my credit card and did not. STAY AWAY!
Answer: They are a site attached to Trip Advisor---- if you see them on screen while trying to book a room-- hit cancel. I'm out over $150 because of their fraudulent cancellation policy.
Answer: Thought I was booking on the actual hotel sight but was deceived in as much as it was Getaroom. Talked to someone else also staying at this hotel at the same for about a third less. Called them right back and had already charged my card and it would be up to 3 weeks to refund. That's about what it took but did get refund. Then checked reviews and no one had anything good to say about getaroom. Go straight to hotel sight of one you know and trust or stick with something like Travelocity.
Answer: I'm definitely in. There's something very deceptive, if not illegal, when you start off on a hotel's website and when you click Make a Reservation, it somehow transfers you to the GetARoom site without your knowledge. I had no idea this was done until I received their email confirmation. I'm thinking of contacting my state's Consumer Protection Div. Of the AG's Office to file a complaint when I get back from vacation.

Answer: Wow. This is one bad company. Made a reservation and then needed to cancel. They gave cancel date all along. I called to cancel on that date and was told that date was only for 1 minute of date they told me. I was supposed to forfeit one night's cost. Luckily I made reservation on AMEX and they'll tell this fraud company to get lost. Moral of the story: make reservations through hotel.
