This company is totally not responsive, try calling and always you will get voicemail, response time for email 16hours+, their live chat also non responsive. Better to pay extra somewhere else, I lost over $200 because of their lack of communication, just to get an email after trying to talk to somebody ne for a day and half that theres nothing they can do.
Don't buy the useless travel insurance they provide, they sell it represented as one thing and really it is another. Beyond travel insurance, when issuing a refund one email they claim 2-3 weeks for a refund the next email is 3-4 weeks. When you question things they repeat the sentence back to you. Pick someplace else to book travel through, the "cheap fares" are bogus anyway. The "taxes" were more expensive then the airfare.
This travel company is the worse travel agency I have ever done business with! Their customer service sucks! They over charge for services that should be free in the first place and their policy is very shady! All I needed was a simply name correction on my airline ticket and their fee to do it so was almost the value I originally paid for the ticket. After a lot e-mail exchange and some time talking on the phone, with someone who was probably an outsource employee who I could hardly understand, I decided to cancel the reservation since I wasn't going to be able to use it anyway due to the name problem. They said the tickets were not refundable and to top it off they charged me for the booking cancelation on top of what I already paid for the ticket. The whole experience has been really frustrating as you can imagine. Please stay away from this company!
Faredepot by far provided the cheapest so had a doubt about it. But, I checked out and paid the other day. Once I received the confirmation Code, I checked it on the airline website to make sure that it is valid. Everything has passed and thought why I was worrying about this company even though I never used and even people talked about badly. So, I was thinking to use this site again next time. Today, I got an email, saying that it's been ticketed and charged. The charged amount was different from the other day. So, i called and talked to the rep. He said he would refund it. I expected their apology but he didn't. Overall, my main issue was price. So I got what I needed it and it's been validated and also will get an refund. So, people be careful when your account's charged. It was "mistakenly" charged 846 instead of 841 by big fat thumb.

My flight was cancelled by the airlines who agreed to give a refund on the whole ticket but Faredepot still hasn't given me my money back! They owe me $4644 and are refusing to pay me back. Their excuse is that the airlines hasn't agreed to pay them back which a complete lie. I didn't use any part of my ticket and I don't have my money back yet. When I call them they don't answer as they know my number. If I call from a different number they answer because they don't know that it's me. Unacceptable customer service – I've called them about 30 times to resolve this issue. The company is a fraud because they steal your money. I will continue to report them until I get my money back! Please save your hard earned money and don't use this company.

I could not understand the ticket booking process in FareDepot.com, as I was getting my tickets done online for the first time. I called in the customer care department and someone name Cathy attended my call and explained the process to me. The website has an ace and supportive customer care team.
Our orphanage home arranged for a trip to Texas for 20 children. We usually plan an excursion for a bunch of kids every year. However, we need to do a lot of homework to find the best price on the tickets. We had dumped our plan previous year, as we could not find a negotiable airfare. I learnt from the Airline that my ticket got cancelled by FareDepot without a reason. I have yet to be officially informed by them... Do not be scammed about the lower prices, this company will only cause problems. First it started with a coupon code for $50 that was not working and I was provided with a new one. Then, I noticed I was charged twice for the same reservation. Lastly, while checking layover options with the airline I got told my ticket was cancelled by faredepot and they did not even leave a reason or send me a message about it. AVOID!
When I read about all the customer service issues and unexpected cancellations, I was very worried about the FareDepot tickets I had booked. However, my $580 + $20 cancellation insurance tickets worked just fine and saved me a lot of money. I flew out of Portland, OR to London, and then returned from Dublin to Portland, OR. Just as a precaution, I went directly to the airline's website (Air Canada) and provided my passport information for the tickets and also created email notification alerts so that I wouldn't be caught by surprise if there were any changes/cancellations.
It sounds like you people fall into two camps with FareDepot. Those who don't experience any issues, like I did, or you run into hiccups and then it's a nightmare. It's risky, but for us it paid off.

Booked a flight, they claimed my bank needed to provide authorization on the charge. I called my bank and they did, then emailed them. They claimed they never received my authorization and now the ticket is $200 more.

I booked a flight with fare depot through kayak and they called to tell me that they had to take me out of the flight but I would be issued a full refund. Then they later called and told me that they made a mistake and were going to put me back on the flight but the flight was more expensive now. They said since it was their mistake, they would cover the difference but they had to recharge me before they refunded me.
Still waiting for my new flight confirmation... and my refund.
They are the absolute worst. Do yourself a favor and don't.
