There was an error in one of the prescriptions and they sent me another pair for free!
I ordered two pairs of prescription glasses, total for both was around $100. One frame was decent quality, the other looked cheap and after just a couple of months proved to be cheap. It spontaneously cracked one day. EBD has a good customer service team and they are very friendly and helpful. They offered to do a replacement but I don't feel like ordering from them anymore, so went to Costco instead for quality designer frames + prescription lenses that cost around $120 total.
Bought 2 pairs of prescription glasses and two pairs prescription sun glasses, after a few month the first two pairs the frames split, and were replaced, now the third frame of the sunglasses has split.
I just could not believe this has happened.

I was hesitant t o buy my reading glasses online, but after I got a 15% off and free shipping by signing up for their emails I decided to give it a try. My glasses came out to $18 and they shipped in about nine days. I love to track my packages and they had nice email updates that let you know what step your glasses were in. If I need another pair I'll totally use this site again.
I recently ordered a pair of glasses from this company and they came quickly but the prescription was wrong. So I called the number that was provided because I wanted to return them. I thought this would be no big deal because I received an email from them that said no questions asked about returns. When a person picked up the phone I told them I would like to return them. And the person asked what was wrong with them. I was a little confused because I thought no questions would be asked. I told the person that the prescription was wrong and I would like to return them. The person then told me to check with my optometrist. Which didn't make a lot of sense. My optometrist gave me the prescription, why would it be wrong? I have trusted my optometrist for years. And the guy pretty much refused to give me the information on how to send them back until I checked with my optometrist. I said thank you very much and hung up. I tried to be polite about the whole thing but I just want my money back. This has really turned me away from buying glasses online. UPDATE: I went to my optometrist and they said that the left lens prescription was wrong. I double checked the info that I gave Eyebuydirect and I put everything in correctly. They were the one who screwed up.
I first ordered a month ago, two pairs and I typed my prescription in wrong. They sent me two new pairs for free and they are amazing! I love them! Since my experience was so good I then ordered prescription sun glasses which came a week later and im in love. Anywhere else here in calgary I would pay up to 500$ a pair. I spent a total of 180$ with eye buy direct for 2 pairs of glasses and 1 pair of prescription sunglasses! Its a dream come true! Didnt break the bank and I didnt have to wait too long for them to arrive! Ill be ordering from them from now on!

ONE DAY AFTER I PLACED AN ORDER, I KEPT RECEIVING CALLS FROM A CALLER WITH AN "UNKNOWN" AND "PRIVATE" NUMBER. APPARENTLY IT WAS THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY WOULD LEAVE A MESSAGE THAT IS HARD TO UNDERSTAND COZ OF THE ACCENT. THE NAME "EYEBUYDIRECT" IS POORLY PRONOUNCED. WHEN I CALLED THEM ABOUT IT, THEY ADMITTED THAT THEIR CALLS WOULD REGISTER IN MY CALLER ID AS "UNKNOWN" OR "PRIVATE." I SAID, THAT'S WEIRD COZ THE MESSAGE LEFT IS ASKING ME TO CALL BACK, AND IT'S AN "UNKNOWN" NUMBER. THEY DID IT 3 TIMES IN ONE AFTERNOON EVEN AFTER I ALREADY CALLED THEM BACK ABOUT IT AFTER THEIR FIRST CALL. A SIGN OF THEIR LACK OF SYSTEM. This is the very first time I have ordered eyeglasses online. The prices are so incredibly cheap compared to getting them in person and I was afraid the glasses would be very inferior; they are not. I got darkly-tinted (just like I wanted) prescription sunglasses with very thin lenses for $58! The frames are almost identical to my $500 glasses I bought at an optical shop two years ago. I could not believe when I put them on right out of the box and they needed no adjustments. They come in a clear, magnetic-closure box with an glass-cleaning cloth. I am very pleased with EyeBuyDirect and plan on using them when my mom needs new glasses also.
I ordered a pair of glasses and upon receiving them I noticed that I had a little nick in it so I called the company and customer service was beyond superb they emailed me a shipping label to send it back and sent me new glasses I will never go anywhere else to buy glasses but from them I can't speak highly enough about their customer service best customer service I've ever ever dealt with

I have purchased from this company three times now. Both of my children wear glasses and you can't beat the prices. The glasses were made well, fit well and the prescription was (as expected-even for inexpensive prescription eyewear) exactly right. Great company and I will continue to be a loyal customer. Frame was lopsided. A screw top was missing. The lenses were so thick it was a joke - I've paid less at another company for a much lower index and the lenses were thinner than these ones I paid more for a higher index - eyebuydirect says their supplier must use thicker lenses (I doubt that and if so it's a rip off to charge more then). Worst of all - the prescription was totally off - I couldn't even see out of them, it was like they'd filled the prescription in just two spots so if I twisted my head I could see clearly out of one tiny part of each of the lenses - and the spot that appeared to have prescription was in a different position in each of the lenses! An absolute joke. I've now read many reviews saying the same thing - how are these people in business? Then you have to return them because they made a mistake with prescription AND the frames are faulty, but they wanted me to pay return shipping overseas and a restocking fee! BEWARE! Never buying through eyebuydirect again and will actively warn others away
I have purchased maybe 10-12 pairs of glasses from Eye-Buy-Direct and the service is excellent. The quality of the frames is above average and I have nor has my daughter ever had issues with the lenses. The prices are great when compared to buying at the local stores, Lenscrafter's or even COSTCO.
I placed an order and had issues with the glasses, had to return. I was going to honor and buy a new pair. I sent in the originals withing 10 days along with original packing, cases and cleaning cloth. The lack of customer service and cooperation is crazy. They received my glasses but would not refund without a tracking number supplied my me, and then send me an e-mail to my e-mail asking for my e-mail address to confirm. Not a very professional company or one who seems to want to take advantage of their customers. In addition the new glasses I received the new pairs I ordered are not what I expected either, but not going to try and return these and go through with this BS again.

It was time for a new pair of prescription sunglasses and this time I was going to try and spend less than $100 (including the exam). A very low budget for those who have done this before as sunglasses tend to cost more than regular prescription glasses. I found an optomistrist that did an exam for $49 and then I found sunglasses that were Rx on eyebuydirect for another $49 not including shipping. Sweet heart of a deal!
Answer: Or you can be like me and have not received your order after more than a month of waiting. Granted, I'm in Guam, but given that the USPS works here pretty much the same way it works in the states, no other retailer has any problem getting their packages to me in a timely manner. The company has sent me two different tracking numbers for the same package. The tracking report from the post office says the package was supposed to be here 12 days ago and the last time it appears the package was scanned was 24 days ago. I have emailed the company multiple times and every time they reply with some generic apology and continue to stall. The package clearly got lost in the mail, I get that and I am typically a reasonable person but any respectable merchant intent on providing good customer service in today's online marketplace would have owned up to the issue and offered a refund or have already shipped out a replacement product. They've done neither. Does it mean they are bad people running a bad business? Probably not. However, it does mean there are probably better companies out there to give your business to who won't take so long to get you your glasses.
Answer: It depends on the frame. Some are plastic, some are metal, and there are other materials used as well. The descriptions will indicate the materials they are made out of. I've ordered 3 pairs from EBD ($6 and $9 pairs--cheapest there are) and they are excellent quality. An equivalent pair of frames alone from the store would have cost $150+, not including lenses.
Answer: I received two pairs very quickly but was very disappointed when i put them on only to find out the prescription was completely wrong. There are no refund or exchange directions in your website or with the packaging, so I did not know the number to call.
