A truly horrible company. Aside from the absurd fees added to any purchase, customer support and ethics of this company are abysmal. For example, right before you select the giant red "place order" button, DoorDash likes to default a giant tip. If you do make that mistake, good luck ever getting that money back. I would rather walk through a minefield to get any kind of fast-food indulgence then to ever give this villainous corporation another penny.
First time I used DoorDash - Tonisha supposedly delivered my order, but I never received it. Customer Service said they can't refund my money due to my past history. What History? It's my first order AND MY LAST!
To whom it may concern: I am writing this email about my experience with DoorDash.
My first negative experience was when I first started dashing. I took me THREE WEEKS to receive payment from DoorDash!
There was an error between the bank and DoorDash. DoorDash REPEATEDLY tried to direct deposit funds into my account using incorrect account information even AFTER I had verified this information thru the app!
DoorDash, of course blamed the bank and the bank responded back to me with DOCUMENTATION in writing that the error was DoorDash and NOT the bank!
DoorDash's customer service was totally useless, more on that in a little bit. My second concern with DoorDash is the improper payment of wages and working conditions.
There have been on-going issues with DoorDash and excessive wait times at merchant pick-up locations which creates late deliveries to which DoorDash responds by giving its drivers contract violations. EVERY TIME an issue occurs with excessive wait times; I contact DoorDash by phone and report the situation to them and EVERY TIME their response is "rest assured, you concern will be taken care of and it will not negatively impact your ratings", yet here I am with 4 contract violations!
There is an issue with DoorDash's GPS system incorrect pinning customer locations.
Example (one of MANY)
I had a customer that was located at 110 North Eagleville Rd In Storrs CT. The GPS pinned the drop off location as 82 North Eagleville Rd and I spend about 20 minutes going back and forth with the customer and driving around in circles trying to locate her. I was also on the phone with DoorDash customer service during this entire time! Finally, the DoorDash customer service representative advised me to leave the order at 82 North Eagleville Rd, take a photo of it and mark it as delivered!
I did not feel right about that, so used a secondary GPS and was able to locate and deliver their order (very late of course) two buildings down the road!
Of course, DoorDash customer service was useless
Yet another example:
Earlier today, I had a pick-up at Taco Bell in Willimantic CT. The was excessive wait time at the drive thru to pick up the order!
I had two orders for pick up. During my 50-minute wait, the customer contacted me about their order and stated they ordered at 12:30 am (it was now around 2:20 am)!
I finally got up to the window and was advised that one of orders had been stolen (picked up by another dasher and never delivered) and was handed the second order.
I pulled aside to confirm the order but was unable to do so. Without being able to confirm the order, I had not address information to deliver the order! I called DoorDash customer service and, once again, the were totally useless! The representative cancelled the order, advised me to dispose of the food, and hung up on me!
So... here it is, past 3:00 am and I am sitting in my vehicle with the customer's order, unable to deliver it! I did not feel right about this, contacted the customer, got the address, and delivered it him myself ON MY OWN time!
The customer finally received their order at 3:45 am! They ordered at 12:30 am! That is over 3 hours later!
In addition, the customer added a 15$ tip thru the app (which I have text confirmation of) and never received!
Also, to thank me, for going above and beyond by taking care of the customer ON MY OWN TIME, DoorDash gave me a CONTRACT VIOLATION! Here is my concern with this!
Aside from a customer receiving their order 4 hours later, DoorDash is (and there is no nice way to put this) ripping off their drivers!
I LOST money this morning!
DoorDash should be paying (with the hourly option) drivers from the time they hit "arrived at store" until the order is delivered, NOT from the time the order is confirmed as picked up and marked as delivered! I waited 50 minutes in line to pick up that order! I committed to the customer to deliver their order in a timely manner, not pass it off to another driver and delay it further! That is 50 minutes that I DID NOT get paid properly for! That is FREE LABOR for DoorDash!
I reached out to my state AG's office an hour ago and they advised me to file a complaint against DoorDash for improper payment of wages and consider taking legal action. Finally, I have an issue with DoorDash outsourcing all their customer service calls to call centers overseas and using representatives that are working from pre-written scripts with NO authority to correct or appropriately address customer concerns!
I caught on to this when I called in about several different customer service concerns and the agent response was the same word for word! This is wrong on so many levels and just demonstrates how DoorDash has chosen to put profits over their drivers and customers! In closing, I have documented all my concerns with photos, text messages and screenshots!
I am ready to escalate this to the next level with a formal complaint to the Department of Labor and a civil suit for improper payment of wages (and yes, I am aware of the little "legal loophole" that you have on our contract that states that you pay from the time of pick-up until the order is marked delivered) and have discussed this with an attorney who is investigating the legality of this.
I also intend to take my concerns about my experiences with DoorDash public thru social media and traditional media outlets to let the world know that this is how DoorDash conducts business and treats their customers and drivers! Against my better judgement, I am going hold off escalating this to the next level and give you the opportunity to address my concerns and come to a mutual resolution within a reasonable time! I have been so impressed with our local DoorDash deliveries. They have been on time, efficient, and fast. I have used them more and more because they have proven themselves reliable. Thank you, DoorDash.
I am not one to complain, but I cannot keep quiet about this. Yes, Dasher to mess up sometimes, but when it affects your account like come onnnnnnnnnnnn. Neverrrrrrrr had an issue delivering to my house, but when ONE DASHER says "they can't find my house" I now have to do additional things to get my food. I was truly at a loss of words. Been using this address for OVER A YEAR and now all it took was ONE DASHER to say my address was wrong. *WHEN IN REALITY SHE READ MY ADDRESS WRONG AND ADMITTED IT! BTW ALL ON CAMERA** Trying to get it resolved with their support team goooooooooooooooood luccccckkkkkkkkkkk took me 4 day to finally get a straight answer from then (half assed one at that) and for them to tell me they will submit my FeedBack... If you want to spend your money go use other platforms this is just a total waste
I ordered a pizza for delivery and put in the delivery instructions tab deliver to side door. The driver, after parking in my yard, knocked on the front door. I went to the door designated for the delivery and asked him "did you not see the delivery instructions?" He replied "No, I don't read those" as he handed me my pizza and left.
I called Pizza Hut to complain and was told that even they don't like the drivers because of how rude and careless they are.
So I proceeded to call doordash customer service and was greeted by an unbelievably incompetent individual named anna. After 20 minutes of not getting any kind of help whatsoever I hung up and called again only to be met with another American language deficient individual. After this "person" clicked and clacked he told me "Alright mister Bruce you are removed from that account...WHAT?
Then when I asked him for reimbursement for the food that had become cold after 35 minutes of TERRIBLE customer service I was told that they cannot give me a refund because I don't have an account. WHATEVER you do DO NOT USE doordash. It's a horrible scam run by criminal acting people.
DoorDash refused to refund me all b/c I complained of past experience with them. Remind you 2/27 I placed two orders. The first one, the driver said he could not locate me although he was still at the restaurant. The second one, i went ahead and reordered and the next driver delivered with no problem. I called next day to verify refund. The said b/c of my two or more complaints it was declined. WHAT! So basically you stole my money based on experiences in the past. Yeah this will be investigated and i filed with BBB today

We don't use this type of delivery very often. But I have seen MANY reviews where the customer is shorted, especially on large orders. We received a $300 grocery order that was delivered through DoorDash. So there were many bags to go through. Once everything was put away, my wife went through the receipt to verify the order. Yep, things are missing. I had a hard time believing all the negative reviews but, not now. We will NEVER use DoorDash again!
A young single mum in Perth tried to order medicine through door dash for her sick child on the 13.01.25, the guy turned up with the wrong order which she gave back to him, then she never saw him again. $60 down she had to order again through another delivery service, this time with success (and another $60.00).
Door Dash asked if she had taken photos, she did not, then had the nerve to advise she was not eligible for refund! Absolutely disgusting treatment, I went onto their complaint portal to complain and even that doesn't work - I wouldn't use them in a pink fit.
If your delivery is wrong, take a photo of the wrong order, the driver and his vehicle if possible - this company is a joke.
We were given a gift card by friends. Attempting to use the remaining $50, was difficult. They charged my credit card with $50 and did not apply the credit. The driver didn't speak English which made it even more difficult. I will never use Doordash. Terrible business.
Any company on earth that would accept payment for an order then send you the wrong product would at least provide the correct product or offer a refund. Not these people. I placed on order from a specific restaurant, then tipped the dasher $17 before I realized he had handed me an order from a completely different restaurant. Doordash refused to give me a refund or to provide me with the correct order. Last time I order from them.
Dreadful delivery experience. Doordash tries to deliver packages, they don't read the labels and tried to "deliver" a package to a business address at 7:30 PM on Sat evening. I tried to alert them the day before that this would fail, cust service refused to do anything to solve the issue. Package was lost. DON'T USE Doordash for package delivery. They delivered to the wrong address (see screenshot) even though UPS Store has HUGE red banner but closes at 5:00PM on Sat. Doordash just drops package anywhere
I have only used them twice I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN. The good thing was my bank gave me my money back so screw you DD Wegmans 2 Go cart never delivered and order was cancelled by Wegmans but DD still took my money
DoorDash is under contract with my local grocery store for deliveries. This is the second time No one showed up to the store to pick up and deliver my groceries. No phone calls no nothing just the employee didn't bother to show up. They saved me the $40 I was going to give the driver for a Christmas tip and they've also lost a Monthly customer for grocery deliveries because I will pick up my own groceries from now on JUST SO I CAN AVOID USING DOORDASH AGAIN
DoorDash = Cold Food
The weather hasn't even gotten really cold yet.
But since DoorDash drivers don't use thermal bags properly for most of the deliveries I have received, I get cold food.
I've seen, on multiple occasions, the driver will take my pizza off the back seat of his car and put it in a thermal bag to bring it up to the door.
Too often I get the pizza handed to me in the pizza box after having never been in a thermal bag.
I've stopped ordering online for some restaurants because they use DoorDash.
All this and you tip before delivery, so you are tipping for cold food.
Sun Pacific Organic Green Grapes (1.5 lb) Grapes were disgusting. The bag wasn't even half full, but they looked like they were rotten, old and expired. It looked like mold was starting to grow in the bag.TARGET shouldn't be selling rotten food, the Doordash driver shouldn't be selecting rotten food for their customers, and Doordash shouldn't be ok with all of this & actually expect their customers to pay for rotten food they never should've even received because it belongs in the garbage!
WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! I REPORTED ISSUE TO DOORDASH AND THEY DENIED MY REFUND REQUEST, EVEN THOUGH YOU CAN CLEARLY TELL BY LOOKING AT THE PHOTO THAT THEY ARE ROTTEN. I TRIED TALKING TO CUSTOMER SERVICE THROUGH THE APP VIA CHAT & CALLED AND SPOKE TO THEM ON THE PHONE AND THEY BOTH DENIED THE REFUND REQUESTS AND REFUSED TO EVEN LET ME SPEAK TO A MANAGER.
They never get the order right and they over charge you plus you have to be a member to get service. So it's better to go get it yourself
The $3 credit for using your photo *******@DoorDash app is a fraudulent *******@DoorDashImpact has used 5 of my photos and I've only received credit for 1 photo, but I had to fight for it. I will not *******@DoorDash again, until I receive my $3 credit for each photo.

Answer: They first send you to a robot and then an outsourced person in India I believe. There is no communication between drivers and the customer service so it's unhepful
Answer: First, DoorDash collects a tip BEFORE you get service. I always tip, so should you. Ubereats lets you tip AFTER you get service - better. Caveat - getting your tip back from DoorDash for bad service is almost impossible.
