I ordered a rack and pinion from Detroit Axle and they charged my card and sent me a tracking number. The tracking number claimed the part hadn't made it to the facility yet. When I called nearly a week later to find out what was happening I was told they didn't have the part and it was on backorder about a month out. (Who charges for a part they don't have?). I asked for a refund and was told it would be 24-48 hours. Six days later I called again and was told it would take 24-48 hours (oh and they asked me if I still wanted the part! I thought I asked for a refund last week?). I told them I wanted a refund by the end of business that day. I was assured I would recieve a phone call by the end of the day (I did not). I have filed a dispute with Paypal to get my money back.
I have since purchased the same part from another company and had it installed.
This company appears to be thieves! I will never order so much as a spark plug from them.
Ordered 12 piece front end kit around May of 2018 for Avalanche with 10 yr. Warranty, now ball joints are worn out and customer service is LYING about the warranty not starting till Sept of 18. AVOID THIS COMPANY.
I just had the most amazing talk with a representative from the company Detroit Axel.
A few weeks ago I had accidentally ordered the wrong set of rotors and brake pads from the Detroit Axel company, thru the Amazon website. And after realizing that the parts were not a perfect fit for my vehicle, i decided to return it. However, I was denied a refund (by amazon).
But lucky for me, as soon as the company Detroit Axle became aware of my negative encounter with Amazon, they immediately tried to reach out to me via different platforms.
Today I finally got the chance to speak with a representative from Detroit Axel, her name was Alexa. She was very professional and gave me the opportunity to express myself by listening to my side of the story. She made me feel very important.
After listening to my story, and reviewing the case, she offered to refund me the money, opposing Amazon's decision. Thank you Alexa! (5 stars for u).
I am very impress with the way Detroit Axel stand behind their products. Is very hard to find a company with decent prices and most importantly great customer support.
Sway bar pieces fell apart after 2 months and left daughter having trouble in Chicago. One side snapped right off and the other came out of the socket.

I ordered drilled and slotted brake rotors for all 4 corners and pads. They sent me an email two days later saying there was a problem with my order. I called and they talked me into a standard rotor set with pads. They wanted to refund me the difference. That would have been OK but I used a $5 off coupon code on my first order. They could not get it through their heads that I wanted the difference plus the 5 dollars refunded to me. Finally I gave up. I called again to try to get a tracking number for the newly created order that I had no clue when it was coming. That went well. Next I had to call again because it had been 9 days since my original order and the down-graded parts arrived but no money was refunded to me. As of writing this, I am expected to get my money back 11 or 12 days after I first placed to order. I find all of this irritating. I really dislike the fact that I was ripped off of the $5 off coupon code. I won't be using detroit axle again. I used to like them but they ruined that.

This business is a joke, it appears that they are under new administration because the Guy I talked to keep saying the he was new and the guy who created/shipped the order did not worked there no more. The case in point is that I ordered a transmission for my 06 explorer from eBay. They sent me and email requesting my VIN number to verify the vehicle, but I get the wrong transmission. So what is the point of asking for the VIN#. IF YOU DO NOT WANT TO BE RIPPED OFF STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.
So I bought a a front end kit on August 16th installed the parts and by November my hub bearings where making noise again drove home a mile and a half passenger front wheal was leaning when I got out to find bearing totally trashed. So messaged about the problem and was told since I did the work warranty was void even though I was a certified mechanic for 20 years so ordered another set on 01-04-23 still don't have them requested a refund to get told I need to wait for them to check out order did that and today was told I need to wait some more whole time truck has been down will never order another thing from Detroit Axle

Complete rip offs they sent me a defective part. Being trying to get the part returned for nearly 3 months. Finally they told me to return old original part for a core never saw any type of refund for core than they had the nerve to tell me I had to pay an additional 75 percent of total to process warranty. DO NOT BUY FROM DETROIT AXLE. MAY COST A FEW MORE DOLLARS AT THE STORE. BUT IT WILL DEFINITELY SAVE YOU A HEADACHE THOSE GUYS ARE CROOKS!

So far over the last 2 years of covid...I've bought and installed 2 complete brake kits and replaced a power steering rack for 3 different vehicles domestic and foreign sedans and trucks...THIS IS THE LOW COST REPLACEMENT brake and suspension source. Both break sets were well made went on in a breeze and worked as intended. I was able to get a very unique steering rack through them...even the new car dealer could not source it...as in anything always check your products...even the Nationaly Nascsr recommended product are made In the exact same factories in China/Taiwan/Vietnam...even the ones that say made in USA aren't...assembled in US, not made.
The products are good, great warranty and return policy.

I bought a wheel hub with a speed sensor for the abs built inside. I finally installed it and almost suddenly I had an abs light on in the dash. I scanned it and it showed the wrong speed at the hub I had just replaced. It would rise and fall as it pleased. Brand new problem. Called Detroit. They said first send us a screenshot of the scanner. I sent. They received. Next day they said get diagnostic from licensed repair. Outrageous. I already proved my failure. I've been licensed repair 40 years. Then they said they'll replace it but to send $32.50 for shipping. ( costs $ 9.00 to ship) so then I said I'm done just refund me as it didn't last a day. They issued me 50% refund because part was installed. Pretty hard to find out a part is defective without installing it. They are outrageous scammers just trying to make you go away. They sell garbage Chinese parts. They couldn't just replace the part? No they will fight to the end to save a return. Ultimate scum. Complained to eBay. Ebay will probably back them up. Update: This fake $#*! woman that apologized from Detroit Axle is fake as the company that she works for. She did NOTHING but ignore me. She's a perfect fit for this company.

I ordered parts for my cord fusion including 4 control arms and 2 cv axles. The control arms came on the predicted shipping time but the axles weren't in the box I call customer service on a Friday and they say that they don't know what's happening callback tomorrow and we'll let you know. So I call back and get the same response they don't know and I need to call again on Monday. Again I call back on Monday and they say we don't know why it hasn't been shipped yet. So now I'm out another whole week without a car about to lose my job because these mother$#*!ers don't know how to ship things properly. I live 20 minutes from the store and needed them shipped because my car is not drivable. If you can't pickup your item directly from the store DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Absolutely absurd. Then they offered me a 5% discount on my next order like I would actually do it again and here's the best part you can find coupon codes for their website for 10-20% off every day online and you can't stack that 5% they gave me so basically they said I'm sorry and did nothing to fix the issue. Would give zero stars if possible they cost me my job. Edit. I just received my axles on the 19th lost my job and they painted over and old axle on the part the sits in the differential absolutely terrible $#*!ing company shipping rusted ford parts with a new boot and some fresh paint. Now I'm sitting here soaking this axle in paint thinner so I don't have a differential filled with paint
If you return a box, EVEN IF IT WAS NEVER OPENED, you will get a "service fee" of almost half the purchase price! Beware, you have been warned!

Order # *******. I ordered a pair of front hub assemblies for my 2014 Nissan Titan. I was sent a pair of hub assemblies for a 2004-2007 Nissan Titan. I didn't figure this out till I had already installed the passenger side one. Hub is exactly the same the only difference is the plug on the abs sensor. No big deal just swap my original ABS sensor to the new hub. I called customer service and explained them the issue. The lady got return approval and emailed me a return label. After chatting with the online customer service several times and talking to somebody on the phone a few times I was finally told my refund had been approved minus the return shipping charge. So now I have to pay for their mistake on sending me the wrong parts. I guess this was my last purchase from this crap show company.
Update: After leaving this review I was quickly contacted by Detroit Axle. My refund was issued within a few minutes. Amazing what they will do to try to get a bad review changed. My thoughts are I likely would never have gotten a refund had I not left a bad review. It's a shame really, I've used Detroit Axle quiet a bit through the years, but will be hesitant from now on.

I ordered hubs and a axel they only sent one axel and it was the wrong one and didn't send the hubs then I called them they said it should be there tomorrow go to find out they never shipped it I'll never use them again I went to Napa
I ordered parts online through Amazon and have tried to be understanding while the status of my order says "running late". I finally reach out to see what is going on with my order and am told it was already delivered. I explained I did not get the package. I was told FedEx delivered it so that's that. NO, THATS BETWEEN YOU AND FEDEX TO FIGURE OUT. You clearly don't have proof that it was delivered and now you look stupid and unprofessional! I would NOT recommend to buy ANY KIND OF PARTS FROM THIS COMPANY! They will not take responsibility for their poor quality of business.
Bought wheel hubs from here drove the truck twice and they are grinding really bad and now to get new ones I have to pay would not recommend this company to any one the parts are garbage

Woah…these parts are horrible. Rotors are warped and a bearing already needs to be replaced, and they all went on last summer. By breath is taken away.

Ordered stabilizer bar links for my 4Runner, all failed within a year.
GARBAGE!
The original ones lasted 18 years/250,000 miles in the rust belt. The only reason I had to replace them because I had to cut the nuts to do some other work.
Conclusion: STAY AWAY FROM AFTERMARKET IN GENERAL AND THIS DETROIT THING IN PARTICULAR.
I would give no stars if possible. Totally Un-ethical behavior and experience with the company representative. As a consumer, I would never expect any company representative to behave.
Recently, I placed order for the parts of my vehicle 2013 Hyundai Elantra Coupe. I received incompatible brake pads clips which doesn't fit. Hence, I called customer service and asked for compatible brake pads clips or refund of my order. I had to pay $130 to the mechanic to change parts and that that too incompatible parts. Customer service agent took all the information about the order and verified including Vehicle VIN number, and later offer to send same parts again or $40 refund. I paid around $270 for the part and $130 for installation (still car is not recommended to drive as there are no clips for pads). As a consumer, I am paying outside some money for the wrong/poor engineered design parts and later asked to give same shot again with same parts another time paying to mechanic didn't make any sense to me. I asked for proof to either parts will work or labor charges for the mechanic but sense like agent wants me to talk to his supervisor and transfer call for higher authority on decision making. The Supervisor was very rude and did not want to accept the fault with the parts (pad clips). Instead, he replied that website doesn't have any information of such vehicle and put pretended it as "I placed the wrong order". As a supervisor in the company, have no sense how to talk to consumers.
I would suggest go and buy local parts from store, this people will make you suffer as I suffer.

Answer: Detroit Axle wasn't the low ball company but after doing business with them we got low balled.
Answer: For us it has been a scam and we will never order from them again and request you do not. But the choice is up to you.
