Ordered front and rear brake pads and rotors. Install them sunday, broke them in the way they said to and within two miles, the rotors were pulsating unbearably. Reached out to them to get warranted rotors. And now they want me to bring them to a garage and pay money to have them verified, they're warped. Customer service was horrible and rude. Refuse to put me in contact with management
Just a heads up on auto parts... I bought front quick struts from Detroit Axle and they didn't even last 6k miles. They want me to pay half what I originally paid them for them to warranty parts out. I wouldn't recommend Detroit Axle to my worst enemy!
I purchased brakes and rotors for my lincoln mkx. The order came quickly and i took the parts to my mechanic. My mechanic put the parts on and took the car for a test drive to make sure that everything was working the way that it was supposed to. During that test drive he found that the brakes and the rotors were not performing the way that they need to be. He told me that the parts are not safe and could cause dmange to the car. THe parts were tested, they were NOT used. It also states in the letter that he wrote that the parts were TESTED. Detroit axle stated that because they were used they could not be returned.
This is conversation after conversation. They had me reach out to my mechanic different times changing the letter that they said that they needed to refund my money.
At one time during a conversation they told me to '"go ahead and contact the state". I told them that i would agree to half of my money back if they did not want to give it all back. They did not agree with that. They said that the letter that i send stated that my mechanic drove on the parts, the letter does not say that. It says that he TESTED the brakes and rotors. He did NOT drive on them.
They will not give me my money back, i do not have the parts because they had me send them back to inspect. I do not have the goods, the money and i am out weeks of time contact them.
They are thieves and a simple look online would show that this is their business practice.
Ordered a power rack on 6/16 received an email the 17th that I would receive part on the 19th. Called on 6/26 to find out what happened, because the tracking number showed only a label had been made. Was told they would look into it. Called again 7/1 and was told it was out of stock and would refund the money. Haven't received any notice yet.
So do you want your parts to say they were delivered but they weren't, do you want to chose a company that makes you wait over 12 days and then finally tells you your parts are coming but they aren't, Do you want a company that could careless about you, THEN THIS IS THE COMPANY FOR YOU!
Can't give them '0' stars, so they reluctantly get a 1. Order brake part for my car based on their car selector. Brake pads and rotors were wrong by a mile. Calipers were correct. I've tried 5 times to contact their support line; each time over 15 minutes of horrible muzak, and no response. Finally on this last call, I spoke with a Rep, and got the return authorization. I'll gladly pay a restock fee to never deal with them again.
I had front seay bar link bushings cracking within 100 miles of driving. I called warranty dept. They wanted me to pay shipping both ways for bushings that would probably just split again anyway. The ceramic and semi metallic brake pads I got wore out in 20,000 miles on 2 cars. They are cheap but you have to do the work twice as often and the rotors are trash after 1 set of pads so they have to be turned or replaced also. Do not waste your time and money like I did.
Bought an CV axle 10 days ago, shipping keeps getting rescheduled. Customer car up on lift and waiting for part. Called customer service waited 15 minutes asked about part and wanted to cancel order. They said I would have to wait 2 days to cancel because it might be shipped already but couldn't give me a tracking number.
After being told 5 days my package shipped which it didn't contacted my card company they sent them a letter to respond by 30 days they didn't i received my money back n the items which arrived 12 days after there 2 day shipping
Dont buy from them, they lie to their customers. They advertise 2 day delivery, thats bull$#*!. On their site they basically take todays date, add 2 days and call that the delivery estimate. It was supposed to be delivered to my door on Wednesday this week, its now Thursday and they have only labeled it, it hasn't even left their building! I looked through the site at many different products and they all have the same expected delivery date. So they delivery date is a complete lie, expect something close to a week or 2 at least. I have canceled the order and will never buy from them again.
Do not buy from them. They are a con artist and rip offs. They're customer service Sucks their Supervisors and managers refuse to get on the phone to handle complainthe customer service.
Says that they will return the call and they never do. They advertise free fast 2 day shipping And you never get it in ten days.
Don't go to this company they will dodge and weave your refund request and take forever to respond back and I even called to get a refund they just sent me a return label when I physically don't have the part on me
3 times in a row they have sent me wrong parts. After waiting a week between each time I have contacted customer service (which is based out of $#*!ing bum$#*!, India) to try and re order the right parts from them I have received the wrong front quick strut assemblies from them three times in a row! Like at this point it is almost impressive how many times they have $#*!ed up. Do yourself a favor and never order from these dip$#*!s.
I figured I'd give somebody besides rock auto a chance. I went to the website clicked on the tabs ordered the axle. When I called customer service he claimed I didn't check turbo and I did not check automatic transmission. The application for a non-turbo manual transmission is for an Eco sport sold in India. I did not click that nor do I live in India. I sent them pictures of the rotor, which had three nicks on the outer edges of scratch and an imperfection. He stated that that was acceptable by Detroit Axle standards. I've been working on cars for 40+ years. I've never put a road like that on a car obviously, QAQC is not there. They'll take the axle back, but they're gonna take half the money for a refund fee and the rotor again is acceptable in their eyes. I spent the Saturday taking my car apart to put it back together so I can get back to work on Monday. It was a waste of time and a waste of money.
Place is a joke. I spent a couple hundred $$ on a new rack and pinion for my vehicle and have been waiting now for a week and a half and have called multiple times still nothing. Finally I just put in for a refund then they said it will take weeks to be processed. That's all the money I had for that part and now I can't drive my car to work and have to take uber. I'm super pissed. Horrible customer service the worst company I've ever dealt with. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Their customer service is horrible. I had to wait online for hour before somebody answered the phone and then was only told that it was FedEx's problem that my package hadn't showed up and FedEx says that it's their problem that their package hadn't showed up. So I've yet to receive parts yet to receive refund and have been passed back and forth. Only to be told there's nothing that either one of them can do completely horrible way to treat a customer and unacceptable to the fact that I am now out money and out of business because my package didn't show up on time and I never got my money back. I would suggest never ordering anything from this company
Do not buy from this seller they sent me the wrong parts for my car I return parts and they only issued 69.99 of the 199.00 stating a restocking fee of 133.00. When amazon reach out about the restocking fee they lied and stated I didn't return all the parts which is a complete lie. Everything they sent me was return unused. Still in the same box they sent it to me. I google the company and there are several reviews of this company sending people the wrong parts and charging people restocking fees for the wrong parts they sent.

Pay $10 more and get treated as a valued customer. They rely on a gotcha style purchase process. Customer service is rude and absolutely useless. They're only there to pretend to help. Don't do it.
My parts did not even last a month and then they want to pay more for shipping the product than the part itself. Neither of the struts work correctly. I had to replace it once and then less than a month later I had to replace the new. The bolt broke in half at the top of the strut and moved out of place.
Answer: A pain in the butt I sat waiting for tech support for hours with no answer.
Answer: Detroit Axle wasn't the low ball company but after doing business with them we got low balled.
Answer: For us it has been a scam and we will never order from them again and request you do not. But the choice is up to you.
