Bought brake kit for early Kia Soul and in no fashion fits my car correctly. No warranty service if not installed by Certified Mechanic! Didn't see that in their warranty statement. Product is made in China from poor specs. AVOID!
I ordered brakes for my '13 Mustang GT.
Supplied the serial # before purchasing on eBay after confirmation via E-mail I purchased a complete set of rotors and pads. Upon receiving I made an appointment at my mechanic for install. Front and rear are both wrong.@ $95. Per axel that was $190.00 gone. Requested a return. Detroit Axel requested rotor measurements. Took the car back to mechanic to have the rotors measured. Sent measurements to Detroit Axel. New brakes received. Make an appointment for install.
Rear brakes fit fronts are wrong again. Mechanic charges $95 per axel again. I call Detroit Axel again they informed me they do not stock the correct brakes and rotors for the front of my '13 Mustang and since it's passed their return time frame. They will only issue a store credit.
Thanks Detroit Axel I'm almost $600 into a break job and still haven't finished. Your company sucks.

Ordered a rack and pinion for my car that had a lifetime warranty. After it being in my car for a little over a year it started to leak. Contacted Detroit Axle and they explained they would send a new one but first I had to send them $154. $40 of which was to be used for shipping label to send old one back and the remainder would be sent back to me once they received the original one that leaked. As of today it has been a month since they received the leaky one and all I have gotten is a total run around! No money just a bunch of CRAP! What a bunch of crooks! Also beware as my son in law is a mechanic and in his experience said most of their parts are junk and don't last long at all. DETROIT AXLE is a total rip off!

After waiting 28 days for a transmission, had my mechanic install it and it was inoperable. Now I am going thru the refund process and they send me pictures of a shipping label and bill of laden. Cannot print so in turn cannot get a refund. It is like Detroit Axle has this scam down to a science. Out over 1900 for the transmission and 1200 for the install. Still do not have an operable car after 6 weeks.
Sent the wrong part. They continued to argue that it was the correct part yet we provided them with the part that came on the truck in the part they sent does not fit not even comparable customer service offered no solution supervisor offered a horrible solution all in favor of them just getting money and we don't have the part put us out for two weeks of e-mails back and forth which meant nothing at the end of the day do to you they weren't paying attention to us saying these don't fit repeatedly asked for pictures of which we provided my Rec recommendation would do not even bother dealing with this company save your headache shop elsewhere first box I ordered came totally destroyed parts missing second box same type issue third box nothing in it that was what we ordered or at least they say it was correct and it was not you end up talking to somebody that's in Texas who has no idea about vehicles or parts do not waste your time

Ordered a set of rear cv axles for my 93 ls400, shipping took forever, finally received the parts and proceeded to install only to find the spindle side nut from my original axles doesn't fit the new ones, and they came with no hardware. Spoke to customer service after being unable to figure the size out, and they were completely unhelpful, unable to tell me the correct size, and refusing to ship me the nuts I needed to make the parts work, they said I could return them or deal with it myself. Started the return process which after a week of no response led me to try and find a solution myself. Found a nut that worked, installed one size, only the find that the other axle has the wrong size holes for the differential bolts! Everything about my order was incorrect and the only response I received from customer service gave me no information on the return. Will never order from this company again.

Don't get caught in their trap they only send half the items then won't refund for hat you didn't get. They got the right one this time J'm an attorney in Alabama. They are going to have to come here for court or send a rep. All I wanted was a refund of less than $100

I purchased parts for my Explorer, ordered for a 98. They sent me parts for the year range of 2006 - 2010. Clearly their mistake. I contacted them about the mistake on their part. Nothing but BS, run around. They refuse to accept the return and credit me back my money. I no longer need the parts, My mechanic had to order them through NAPA so I could pass Pa inspection. Ordered full strut and shock kiit for my car which only lasted a year and are not compatible to my car but is in their catalog. They will not refund me my hard earned money for their adevertizing the wrong parts for my car. Had to buy brand new stock struts which are two inches taller and fit correctly but put me out of 1200 with the worn tires from their mis-sized strut to tire wear. They suck $#*!.

Purchased lower control arm kit. 8 pieces, outer tie rods, inner tie rods, sway bar links, and control arms. It was missing a outer tie rod and had a defective control arm! So I had to purchase both parts from a local store and cost came to 90$. And all they offered was 33$. So my advice is don't waste your money or time with this company.
This company shipped my items and it was missing a part. The directions told me to call and request a refund, which I did. I was promised a $30 refund. Called several times over a three week period, each time I was told it would take 72 hours. Not sure what clock they are using., but time has run out. Called today to be told I was not getting a refund because I gave them a bad review. What type of company does this? They owe me money, not giving it back, so what type of review would you give? Customer service is not from here and don't really care. Do not do business with this company, go elsewhere.

Bought axles from this company in April, and the right side has already failed. Not even 7 months in, and it's complete garbage. Customer service is non-existent. Emails go unanswered and the warranty they claim you have is a complete lie! This is a garbage company that has no customer service and a claim of a warranty that you cannot use because they refuse to answer emails. They do not stand behind their products, which is all you need to know. Please avoid this place!
Made an order October 1st it's now the 20th call them up, they don't have part in stock and refuse to give any help or discount. Been buying from here 10+ years and they must have changed management because now it's a complete dumpster fire, never ordering again from Detroit axle. Make sure you tell your friends, so they don't go through what I did.

Detroit Axle Creating imaginary words from the Warranty policy and making you jump through hoops in order to not replace defective parts.
Honestly the worst practice when it's stated on amazon and on your website it's warranted for 10 years.
It is rebranded Chinese garbage that fails in 3 months.
When I had issues, their customer service did everything they could to Not assist me. The supervisor was argumentative and contradicted himself. In the end, I wasted time and money on parts and labor for nothing. Warranty is only good if it's honored. Spend your money elsewhere!

Don't believe the shipping scam. They pride themselves on fast and free shipping. It's certainly free and you get what you pay for. 2 weeks just to receive simple pads and rotors. 2 weeks from Michigan to Minnesota. They estimated 3 days and it was 2 weeks so I had a giant ornament sitting in the garage on jackstands waiting g for a simple brake job. The parts are also mediocre at best. You can tell they're not of decent quality. Their customer service is terrible as well. You wait on hold for 30 min just to be told it's "being shipped". Stick with Rock Auto. You pay for shipping but at least you get your parts in a timely manner.
Answer: A pain in the butt I sat waiting for tech support for hours with no answer.
Answer: Detroit Axle wasn't the low ball company but after doing business with them we got low balled.
Answer: For us it has been a scam and we will never order from them again and request you do not. But the choice is up to you.
