Bought computer June 2016. Screen blacken out. Warrant had not worn out but I bought it from Sam's Club. Had receipt but no warranty. Tough luck! The bigger issue is that it did not last 6 months. Got to buy a new computer. Customer service is horrible.
I bought this laptop new for over a thousand dollar (forget exactly how much). The touchpad always has problem (the mouse movement sucks). You have to call to customer support to have them work on it, every time like that it takes at least 30 minutes. Then the freaking same problem will come back. I have carry the individual mouse around otherwise I can't work.
A lot of people have the same problem. There are so many brands for you to choose from. Don't take your risk of being piss off when dealing with stupid touchpad like this.
I absolutely will never buy another Dell computer ever. I've had this laptop a very short time and from day one, it didn't work correctly. From the very first start up, it would rev up like it was overheated. Within a month it was constantly saying it couldn't recognize it's own adapter, there is no way to copy and paste because as soon as you highlight anything and try to click on it, the highlight goes away. So irritated with this company. I will say that the people I've had to talk to have always been very polite and have tried to help but it's never worked.
We have ordered Dell products several times over the years, always getting a great product and never damaged. The packaging is excellent and the products work well for years. There estimated delivery dates are always spot on or earlier, its great to know when your orders will arrive. Im sure we will continue to purchase from Dell for many years to come!
Bought a laptop manufactured by them a few years ago. One day a large number of bad pixels appeared on the screen so I called them and they send over a DHL deliverman right to my house. After 2 weeks he came back with a fixed laptop. Thats what I call a professional customer care!
Their customer service is not good lately. The system said that I still had my battery warranty available and that it was going to expire soon... then, I communicate with a guy from customer service and he said I didn't and he didn't even offered me a solution. Now I have to pay to an expert, who doesn't work at Dell, to buy me the battery and install it.
A good thing about Dell is that they train their technical team very well. I met a guy who worked at Dell and used to fix my laptop since 2005 until a couple of years. He was very good at his job!
Got a super slow laptop that was supposed to run fast. It's a pain turning it on or restarting it every single time. My 4 year old laptop runs faster than this piece of junk. The support wouldn't help saying my "software warranty" is over and I would have to pay an arm and a leg to get support. Seriously they tried to sell extended warranty to me for a quarter of the cost of the laptop and saying it's discounted already. I had bought Dell for the past 2 decades and the company is becoming a cash grab. They don't care about the consumers as much as they did before. This will be my last Dell product EVER.
Best company I have ever worked with in terms of PC's and products. They sent me a free keyboard when I basically spilled too much on it, and have returned my laptop fully repaired within a week. They rock! Go Dell! GO 'Murica! God Bless the USA!
I would give them -1 if I could. I paid over $3,000 for a new laptop. As soon as it got to the distribution center near my house, Dell requested it returned to them. Needless to say I have spent the past 2 weeks on hold, speaking to various customer service reps who could care less about me. I keep getting told just to wait 1-2 more business days. After the 10th business day, It appears that once I gave them my money they could care less about me. Terrible company, terrible experience, not only am I personally never buying from them again, but I am going to ensure my department of which I am director, will be buying our 30+ new laptops from another company.
Dell is an okay company for computers. They are trusted and well known and they are respected in the computer industry especially for their notebooks. I like Dell notebooks because I wonder where would I be without one. Those who complain about Dell should go back to the days of those old dinosaurs desktops when there weren't any laptops and then they will see if the upgrade to a laptop/notebook was really worth it!
I can not express how disappointed I am in Dell. I have purchased at least 6 laptops multiple monitors and accessories. The last two laptops I purchased (within the last year) are both having issues. I paid $1600 for one and they are only offering me $200 towards a replacement. I will never purchase another Dell product.
Bought an XPS 13. The connector between the motherboard and monitor went bad after only 2 years. Customer service initially diagnosed this as a bad motherboard. Once they got it right, they still wanted over $200 to repair.
I was told I was NOT allowed to speak to anyone in the US to help with my problem... only India. Not even allowed. How crazy is that? And the customer service rep, specifically told me I was just another number to him and it was irrelevant that I'd been a long-time customer.
I am done with Dell. Never buying a Dell again. I hope you will join me.
I have bought quite a few laptops from Dell and wanted to but a bluetooth headset today. I had never been late and owed them nothing. I wasted 45 minutes on chat only to find out my account had been closed.
What a waste of time. Guess I am going to Staples.
Traditionally would of always used dell (not anymore) - I bought two computers for the business and one working / one freezing on start up. I've had 2 engineers come out and couldn't fix the problem now asked for the replacement no notification after the call and I just spoke tot heir customer service who during the call hung up and added the out of hours notification. New member of staff starts today (bought the computer 3 weeks in advance) and it looks like I'll be working on my laptop for the next few weeks - I'm stunned
Dell used to be a top-rated company and always purchased my computers from them. My last experience was not good and tried to build a new computer for my company. It was over a month and it never arrived and once I wanted to change the computer as it realized it would not work, my account manager would not help me. Three months later, I still have not been able to get anyone to help me so I guess Dell is not interested in selling computers.
I ordered software on their website. It's been 1 month and they still haven't processed the order. I already have the download. They only need to provide me with the registration key. They can't process the order and I can't contact them. Everything on the website gives the runaround. Everything leads back to the order page. No live chat, no email, no toll free number. Even PayPal can't remove the hold on my account until it's been one month, but they continually renew the hold so the month will never expire. I can't understand how they can run a business like this.
After a lot of research, thoughtful consideration, and then a hesitant decision, I purchased this and now I am wondering why I waited so long! Rapid delivery, in a double boxed package for a confidential delivery, was no surprise because Amazon is known (and appreciated!) for this.
The ease of set-up was noted, and all my devices were automatically recognized and...
I've got a laptop Dell. What I can say is that it works very fast without any problems. I bought a laptop that was used by another person but the quality of this machine is pretty good. I can compare this laptop with Sony. I must admit Sone has better screens than Dell. In others, they are both work good without any problems.
What a great experience. After having a horrendous experience with HP, I chose to give Dell a try. Well, I do not regret it. They fulfilled my wishes with ease and provided me with a high quality machine. Thank your for making my buying experience seamless. My time is highly valuable and lucrative. You valued this and for this you have gained a life long customer. Salut to you!
My last desktop was a dell that I had for 4 years only having moderate usage. When it bricked out I decided to keep with Dell and get the replacement from them. Big mistake! The service was terrible trying to purchase the thing since I had to contact customer support multiple times while ordering with website issues. I finally get my order placed and 3 weeks go by with nothing... I give them a call and they can't find an order for me anywhere, despite me being charged! I had to be escalated 3x to be told that the item I ordered became out of stock the day after I was charged, and my order went to limbo... I find this very unacceptable that nobody reached out to me about it. In the end I was fully refunded and the whole thing was a wash. While the last supervisor was very helpful, hence 3 stars, I refuse to ever go to Dell again. I got an acer laptop from walmart that barely processes at half the speed of gravity... I will need to replace within the year, and will probably go with HP!
Answer: Not upto the mark... felt few hadrware technician are newly appointed were not ble to understand as well as answer the query.
Answer: Cause dell is a complete scam. I regret buying one. Wasted almost a thousand dollars.
Answer: I did. I bought a machine that had hardware issues right out of the box and returned it within the 30-day window. They refunded me 100% of what I'd paid, no problem.
