I've had my dell inspiron 11 3000 for almost 2 years now and it still works as great as the day i got it. It's small enough and light enough that i can literally take it anywhere, and the laptop-to-tablet capability is beyond handy. The keyboard is just the right size, not squished up like some small laptops do. The touchpad is a little sensitive, BUT it has a right-side usb so i can plug my mouse in (i'm more comfortable with a mouse anyway) without worrying about the cord being long enough or getting all twisted around the computer. Overall love this thing. First dell but will definitely buy another when this one wears out!
Ordered XPS. Was promised 3-5 day delivery. Received PC 5 wks later. They sent a lower spec model (3.4Ghz instead of 4.0Ghz) that most people would not have noticed. I had to speak to and write to over 10 Dell people ( most of whom had very bad English) in 4 wks before Getting a refund. All ten made promises they did not keep. Eventually I had to contact my CC company to put pressure on them. All the support team do is put you through to a different person. They are experts at saying "sorry" and you will get apologized to non stop. Taking any other action other than to apologize is beyond them. Great XPS PC but not worth the hassle of dealing with Liars and con artists.
The pricing of a lot of the items are really well. However i dont like it that you then find out the item isnt shipping for 5-6 weeks. They shouldnt really be showing these items. Show whats shipping now and not later. Overall though, pricing is good and when they do have it it ships fast.
Tried doing trade in with Dell and they have the worst trade in Value of their own product, worst you have to wait for the Trade in credit few days after before you can use it to purchase a new device. So much for encouraging people to consider recycling old devices in favor of new ones. Other companies like APPLE will give you better value when you trade in and can use the credit the same day.
I work for Discovery we have around 1000 machines, i have so many issues to just get in touch with Dell on UK, We already move to Lenovo, they lost a good contract with us, just because they just make our life complicated on each request. We are a dynamic company and we need quick response.
Recently bought a dell machine in February 2022/ Problems with Touchpad and shimmering curser. Tried all steps to correct including taking into repair centre 2 times which did not resolve the problem. This purchase was replaced with a new machine which also had problems with the fan and touchpad. Sent for repair where they could not source the replacement parts in time. Basically paid circa £1150 for a machine not fit for purpose. Extremely disappointed with the product. I am sure somewhere in the process of manufacture there is a breakdown in quality. From my experience, paid a Rolls Royce price for a product which failed. Couldn't currently recommend a Dell product based on my experience.
I bought a Alien Ware Aurora R12 gaming pc for $1700. Dell shipped it with FedEx. I never received the package, I never received an email that it was delivered. I called FedEx they told me to call Dell. They told me to call FedEx. No one has a straight answer it's been weeks I'm out $1700 and I have no Pc.
Least resilient machine on the market. I've had 3 different Dell machines, all couldn't last over a year. Compared to an HP that survived a deployment and many years of use and it's fair share of drops or a MacBook that has been through similar antics as my HP. Dell doesn't compare to its competitors, its garbage. Go Mac or HP or Acer or pretty much anything other than Dell.
Now it makes a very very bad sound. My son-in-law has tried to fix it but he couldn't even though he is the main large employee for Big Red Communications here in Nebraska. Although he is the main large employee from the internet, he also has learned a lot about fixing computers.
I owned two Dells, one was custom built. They both failed right at the 18 month mark. Just died. No explanation, no reason, no malware just died. I thought it was odd that they both died at 18 months, right on time. I love the look and feel of their products but having had this experience I can't justify spending the money on another one. They aren't cheap. Just do your research and purchase carefully would be my advice regarding Dell laptops.

I bought my first laptop with one month warranty. Laptop is good!
Then another laptop and keyboard but returned them and after one month got my refund.
I wanted to unsubscribe my warranty but Dell has terrible website and I couldn't.
I told three different persons in costumer service that cancel my warranty.!
But still Dell is charging me. Had to block Dell from my credit card!
It has been a year since I have had a Dell laptop, I have changed the touchpad 5 times already, and I have changed almost every part of my laptop till now. I am still highly disappointed. Wasted $1800 on this laptop. I will never recommend any of my friends to buy a Dell laptop
Worst customer and technical service in the world. I had an issue with my laptop that was covered by the warranty. I called them and they said it will take ten days to have it repaired. I sent it to them and a month and a half later they still couldn't fix it and returned it to me un-repaired. They offered to send me a refurbished replacement but it would take another 10-15 days. They are just terrible to deal with.
DELL computers are garbage. Anyone who tells you otherwise is either getting paid to lie to you, or they're ignorant. I'm a PC Technician and Systems Librarian and have been systematically purging all of the DELL machines from my library.
Full disclosure: I have always been a Dell denier. Having supported a number of friends and family, it always seemed to be Dell and Acer laptops that I had to service rather than other brands. I am not sure if that's because that's what everyone purchased, or if it were only those that had severe issues. However, I have noticed most of the Dell laptops are from around the same era.
I recently purchased a refurbished E6430 off of their website and it was one of the best laptops I have ever had. I did end up contacting support to ask about something and I had a generally positive experience there as well. I can't really complain about any aspect of the transaction. It is a Linux-compatible laptop and the experience was great overall.
Dell.com advertised selling FitBit Luxe watches and I bought one for my niece. I didn't get any email confirmations, and when I logged into Dell.com to check the status of the order, the system said I had "NO Orders" so I bought the same watch from another seller. One month, Dell charges my credit card! The number they listed next to the charge is a NON working number.
The moral of the story is, DON"T BUY from DELL!
I bought an H&R Block product at dell.com. Dell sent me a link to the product in my dell locker. The link name seemed incorrect. Something to do with a mediasouce app. I try to download it cuz I figured it was right. It downloaded, but would not install. It gave me a huge error code with details. On chat with Dell India or Pakistan I sent them the error code and requested a refund. Long story short, that was May 31,2016. Oct, 2016 and after 15 contact us, and numerous promises to refund me, I finally got refunded.
After a couple of contact us events, I begged, pleaded, and searched the Internet for a Dell US based customer service representative. THEIR AIN'T ONE. Dell, I ain't one either. Stop emailing me, stop sending me USPS mail, and I promise you their is no way I will consider Dell as a company I could possibly do business with. Your fired!
It's the best computer company.
Dell fullfills the demands of every hand. Very friendly working. Mostly, i use dell accessories. It works smothly. It doesn't hangs on. It's liked world wide. It's first choice of everyone. At least, i am in love with dell technology.
We contacted them about a server configuration we were interested in. They changed the configuration promising it will work for us. We made the payment. They said they will send manuals and invoices. But they never did. They simply shipped the server. We later figured that it won't fit our need. When we contacted them over refund on the software licenses, they never returned email responses. We tried reaching them again and again, finally got their callback. They said their return policy was 30 day and the time was up. We never received any return policy and not even an invoice. We filed dispute with our bank. Dell forged their invoice to show return policy on the first page. Our bank won't help. We are entering a big litigation with Dell Enterprise over $25,000USD and all damages that caused us.
Answer: Not upto the mark... felt few hadrware technician are newly appointed were not ble to understand as well as answer the query.
Answer: Cause dell is a complete scam. I regret buying one. Wasted almost a thousand dollars.
Answer: I did. I bought a machine that had hardware issues right out of the box and returned it within the 30-day window. They refunded me 100% of what I'd paid, no problem.
