Watch out for deceitful shipping totals!

Placed an order for some sidesteps for my truck. The last page BEFORE confirming the purchase said $0 for shipping, so I assumed it was free shipping, as anyone would. I HAD already entered my shipping address. I confirm the purchase, then on the "thank you for your purchase" screen, and the purchase confirmation email, I see they charged me $60 for shipping! I immediately contacted customer service to cancel the order. They told me 3-5 days IF they even let me cancel it and refund me, and IF they don't ship out before they cancel the order. Absolutely ridiculous bait and switch BS!

I understand your frustration but the shipping cost varies on the destination as well as the taxes. After adding the parts to the cart you put the shipping address. The system not just calculates the shipping cost and tax, it also checks the nearest location all the parts are available at (the closest so that warehouse to get the lowest shipping price, the availability of several items at one location to have the shipment combined for free). When the address is filled in, it shows the subtotals for the item, shipping, tax separately and the grand total. If the total does not work for you, the order is not processed, no fee is hidden, just close the page or get back to the cart.

Only if the grand total works you can proceed with the order and be redirected to the page where the payment information is required. Taking into account all the diversity of products, warehouses and final shipment locations across the whole US and world this is the most accurate way for us to provide the best competitive prices (of course, if you find the same part for less we match the prices for you).

Sent me wrong parts

Ordered new rotor and pads for the front and sent me the wrong pads! Cost me an extra 100 at dealer and they said it was past the 30 day window of return. Just make sure if you buy something from them to install sap or within 30 days or you'll be stuck with parts... Even though their mess up no return were excepted...

I'll get right to it. CarID sent me three correct wheels and one wrong wheel for my Toyota Tundra. It was previously used and 100% wrong for my truck. I wasted time and money going to the wheel/tire installing place multiple times after CarID assured me the wheel was
The right one. They didn't care about the damaged part. The box had A spark plug in it and it scratch the wheel up very badly. The wheel itself had also been previously installed before I got it and damage was obvious. They would not send me a new wheel. They insisted that I pay for a new wheel and Ship the other one back for a refund. I did so and it took four calls for them to ever actually pick up the wheel. Now they are saying the wheel was never picked up even though they gave me a tracking number at pick up. This place has no intentions of honoring their return policy or refunding any money. The horror stories you've read all across the Internet about CarID are true, and they are thieves, liars, and incompetent.

We ordered a fiberglass bumper from CARDID and when received it was of horrible quality. We were completely unsatisfied with it and sent pics of how it was warped and not even. They said it was fine would not take it back unless we paid to send it back which cost us almost $300. After purchasing insurance on the freight I received an email from them 9 days after receiving the item that it had "cracked" in transport and rudely asking what I wanted to do with the bumper. I feel like they did it on purpose to not have to refund us our money. I also only had 5 days from delivery date to report damage for insurance to cover it so 9 days later I'm out almost $1000. I will NEVER do business with them again.

I would strongly advise anyone against ordering from this website. I ordered parts for my car that were listed on the website as having no delivery charges. So I was surprised to see a delivery charge of over $15 for a part that cost less than $5.

I cancelled my order as soon as I saw the charge, and the Customer Service Department indicated my cancellation was accepted. Despite this, they later shipped the part to me.

And despite what CARiD claims below, I used PayPal to check out. CARiD never communicated to me there would be a delivery charge added to the order. And not just a delivery charge, but an unreasonable one. The items I ordered were small and lightweight and could have been mailed via U.S. Mail. But a $15+ delivery charge for a couple of small bolts that cost less than $5 is not reasonable.

Also, our cancellation is a two-step process and requires confirmation on the manufacturer's end in order to avoid any further complications. As the normal turnaround time for cancellation is 3-5 business days, we are unable to guarantee cancellation if the product's shipping date is set on the same day or the following one as sometimes products are shipped faster than expected. However, we are always ready to assist and provide the return documents to return the product back for refund or offer compensation if the client will decide to keep the product.

Horrible Customer Service

While the customer service reps are very polite and friendly when you call, the customer service overall is awful. I was sent an incorrect product. The box had one product number and the item had a different product number. I brought this to their attention and they offered me a full refund (including shipping costs and without a return fee). I was happy with this resolution until CARiD customer service emailed me back saying that they were not offering me a full refund because the manufacturer said that was the correct part. I sent them photo evidence that that wasn't the case. See below photos. I ordered a 200 model and was sent a 202 model (which they also sell). The model I received didn't match the photo on CARiD's website nor did it match the product number displayed. I then called the manufacturer myself and they confirmed the 200 and the 202 are different products. They refuse to offer me a full refund and refuse to take responsibility for their website misrepresenting the product. My advice… DO NOT USE CARiD! It's a third party site that has a horrible return policy and customer service. Go straight to the manufacturer and cut out the middle man. It will be easier to resolve any issues you might encounter.

*UPDATE: I was eventually able to return this item for a full refund, but only after posting this review.*

From what I see, the manufacturer confirmed that the part received is what was ordered and it is the right item for your 2007 Subaru WRX. From the photos you attached, it is clearly seen that the part number of the stem is X-PSP-BDY-202, not the PSP-BDY-202 you found on the website. And the part number of the License Plate Relocate Kit itself is PSP-BDY-200. Still. If you are not satisfied with the product purchased we are ready to assist and provide the documents to return the product back for a refund.

Total SCAM - DO NOT BUY

Buyer BEWARE - you really don't want to get involved with CARiD.
I purchased $40 worth of wheel well linings (lightweight plastic). I was pretty excited that they had the liners to fit my Sequoia. I went through checkout and it showed FREE standard shipping - hooray!
But then my credit card statement came and they charged $220 for shipping. Tried to reach them to get it resolved, but can't get someone to talk to me - and based on the hundreds of dissatisfied reviews I see, I understand why. Now I'm stuck with the most extraordinarily high priced wheel well liners ever!

I have purchased led parking lights from carid back in the last part of November 2021 and they was malfunctioning by blinking really fast and to make long story short these people will give you the runaround. I tried to return for refund and they told me to call the people who made them and they told me they would get back with me never heard from them but i did call them they kept telling me they will get back with me, I again never heard back from them. THANK YOU to everyone before me who posted an honest review of your negative experience with CARiD. I didn't even have to finalize my order to have one. After reading reviews, I decided to find out of CARiD really had the 5 Holley Mid-Mount Accessory Drive Systems they claimed to have in stock. So I started a chat session and asked for confirmation. The answer was "We have 2 pcs in stock." Then I asked "you have it in your (CARiD) stock, and it will actually ship today if I order soon?" The answer was "We ship this from the manufacturer." So the first answer was a lie - CARiD *did not* have 2 pcs in stock. And neither did Holley - I checked.

Note the "In Stock" number - 5. It wasn't true.

This is the absolute Worst customer service I've encountered by far. It's consistent with most reviews and now you don't even properly research before submitting a response. What a disappointment! See attached correspondence on the last supervisor I corresponded with. I've reached out several times after with no response.

I ordered the part online and CARID sent the incorrect part. I called customer service and they are overseas with heavy accents and terrible communication skills. The rep
I spoke with was condescending and incompetent. My husband then called and apparently they were going to generate a return label and issue the refund as soon as the carrier receives the package.
I then receive an email from customer service as if it were a new complaint and I wrote back explaining that our return was processed and we were waiting for the return label! LONG AND BEHOLD, the other incompetent staff member had not even processed the return.
In the email correspondence the new rep stated that I will pay for the return shipping Fee! I
Was in awe that due to their error, now I have to pay for an item I was Not able to
Use.
Pay a little more or you're going to be Praying a lot more to get good customer service because they are one of the worst I've encountered. Never again!

Ordered a part from them part was $35.00. Shipping was $70.00. Put in order anyway, because I live in Alaska and shipping is part of life. Sold truck and I immediately went on and cancel part. Never received a cancel notice. Part showed up 3 days later. Called them and arraigned a return. They said they can't reimburse shipping but they pay return shipping and refund my 35. I received there email with info on returning. Went to take it to UPS and they said I had to pay shipping. I called Carid and they said that they never agreed to that, but they did offer me a 25 dollar gift card. I lost it and told him were to put the gift card. I will NEVER buy parts from them again!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM These guys provide horrible service. I bought a set of tail lights from them just to waste my time installing them and finding out that only one worked. Had to install my old set and packed up the new to return it. Called customer service and was told that I had to make a video of it not working. Like I am going to waste another couple hours installing faulty not working parts for video making sake. These guys are insane. Allow the customer to return the product like any other company. It is bad enough that I wasted my time already. What horrible service. No sorry at any given point either.

Backordered parts even when they say the Have it

They will certainly take your money, for parts they know aren't in stock and will not come in a reasonable time frame, then they will not flat our refund your money when your order is not made, or shipped. They want you to wait for the drop shipped part to ship from a secondary vendor, then charge you the full return Shipping fees th even to return something you canceled 3 weeks ago, before they even manufactured the ordered part, because they never shipped the order when you ordered it more than 4 weeks prior. I spent $3900 and work ever spend $1.00 again with Carid.

I'll never order from this company again, ever. I had an order open since October, its now mid December. They kept pushing the order date out. I selected another in-stock item, and then I continued to get delay notifications even though it was in-stock.

I called in to get assistance and the CSR Jorje literally screamed over me half of the phone call while i was begging him for some kind of help. He just kept yelling.

False advertising and bad customer service. Avoid like the plague. I've never dealt with such a horrible company in my entire life.

Deception abounds

I am a recent customer having placed two orders thus far. In both cases I have had issues with customer service. While it is not specifically with their service it is an issue with deceptive information. My first issue dealt with free shipping the website showed free shipping for the parts I ordered but I was charged for the shipping. I was refunded the money but had I not rechecked my order I would have paid for shipping when I should not have. My second issue is with the core charge for returned calipers. It is now 12 days since I returned the calipers for a refund on the core charge and still no money I called today and they told me they need 3 to 5 more days. It seems to me they can take your money pretty quickly but struggle with returning what yours

Poor communication

I ordered something from them and normally you would get shipping notice and tracking information. After days I try to find out where order is and you have to sign into website
And find out it is pending! I called customer service and they said it was backordered from "their supplier". You would expect to get a notice saying it was backordered or have website tell you it was backordered when you tried to order it. So I said just cancel it if it has not been shipped and then they say they will put in a "cancelation request"

I had no choice but to order another part from a reputable company and wonder when if ever I will get my money back. DO NOT GET FOOLED BY THE CHEAP PRICES, it will cost you in the end. They keep contacting me offering me $25.00 "discounts" I do not want anything from them even if they gave it to me. I am 73 and in all my years I have never had dealings with such a horrible company! They set a new standard in being crooked. WORST COMPANY I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH.

As the normal turnaround time for cancellation is 3-5 business days, we are unable to guarantee cancellation if the product's shipping date is set on the same day or the following one as sometimes products are shipped faster than expected. However, we are always ready to assist and provide the return documents to return the product back for refund or offer compensation if the client will decide to keep the product.

Didn't recieve the correct product
December 12, 2021

After waiting months to recieve my Jeep seat covers I finally had a chance to put them on only to realize they sent the wrong covers. Now I know I missed the return window shame on me but now I have expensive covers that I don't even know what vehicle they go to for resale on ebay. I'd stay away from this company as they can't get a simple order correct or deliver in a timely manner. Good luck all.

This co. Is an example of pathetic customer service. You order, you are told you will be advised of any change(s) to the order and then NOTHING! Delivery dates are changed without notice or explanation. This company should be bankrupt; it's customers must be amongst people who have no self-worth. We will never willingly deal with this Company again!
