My mom and I ordered baby shower invitations from Canva and only received 50 out of 60 we ordered. We requested expedited shipping to have the missing 10 invitations sent to us in a timely matter, but Canva wouldn't bend. Their customer service only replied once a day and didn't seem to care that we were needing the invitations sent to us ASAP as requested multiple times. The invitations turned out great, just the customer service was TERRIBLE!
AVOID, there are alternatives now on the market, many actually much better already than Canva.
Today I have had enough; their support is an absolute joke. I called them out on their very obvious strategy, that if you have a known bug, they know they can't fix, they literally will purposefully waste your time, your energy, and sanity. As you get passed between a different person every email response, they literally will ask you for the most ridiculous things to 'help' troubleshoot Once you provide them, they then start again from the top of the list.
Even after calling them out on this exact behaviour they then replied requesting a 4th video of the issue occurring stating 'its not obvious what the issue is'. Steve Wonder would be able to immediately understand the issue its that obvious.
Clearly they would rather waste my time, their own time, and everything else because its cheaper to lose a customer than to fix their very outdated system now... that's fine Canva but you are actually having your support staff GASLIGHT your paying customers and that's disgusting, unethical, and frankly you should be ashamed of yourselves. Cancelled and gone.
Poor follow up and service with Beth at Canva. Can't get overcharge credited back to my account. It has been going on for a month. I had to contact my bank due to lack of response.
What a useless company
Do not support them with your cash
They take your money but the give you zero service
This Customer Service Team are appalling. There is no phone number they say they will escalate your request and continue to ignore you, despite how many times you contact them.
AVOID CANVA AT ALL COSTS.
They just try to take payment and disappear. Horrendous company - If I could rate this ZERO I would, trust me I tried!
Originally it was a full free service, then they switched to full-pay service with little if no notice.
They converted my account to Pro without my consent and in October 2019 they charged me £11 for a monthly fee.
I complained, they processed the refund and confirmed that:
"We reviewed your activities, and we agreed to issue a full refund of the Canva Pro monthly renewal fee that you incurred. I have also cancelled your paid subscription, so rest assured that you will no longer be billed for any renewal fee.
The refund process may take up to 10-20 (maximum) business days to be completed, which may be faster, depending on your bank's internal protocols. You may follow up with them for updates.
Please note that this is a one-time courtesy, and any further refund for the same payment may no longer be possible. In general, payments involving Canva Pro monthly subscription are not subject for a refund. For more information, please visit section 9 (Paid Services) of our Terms of Use."
On Jan 2nd I received a charge from Canva of £107.88 (equivalent of a Pro membership yearly fee).
I begged for a refund and clarification, however Nea (customer support in charge of my account) replied once and then disappeared.
Stay away form CANVA.COM it is a SCAM!
I tried Canva for a day and didn't like it, but the reason I'm giving it 1 star is that I got a notification from my credit reporting program that my email address was found on the dark web (used by hackers) and that it got on there through the Canva website!
Copy and paste always screws up somehow, very slow, glitch, the only reason to go on it is because of its templates. The editing and designing process however is a nightmare
Charged incorrectly for a pro membership. Canva has been giving me the run around for months after sending multiple emails that they would refund. DO NOT USE this app
Signed up for a trial and without warning (no email despite the fact they claim they do send a warning email) they charged me for a full year subscription even though I didn't want it. They don't respond to emails. Please, everyone report these to the Australian authorities, they should be shut down. Bought membership so my daughter can use her Ipad but now the updated version will only work in portrait mode on an ipad... Cannot use it - Want my money back
I came across other visual communication tools like Visme and Piktochart that are way better than Canva. Yeah, Canva might have some good features here and there, but Visme and Piktochart help me create content that is UNIQUE... everyone has Canva and created the same thing, like you can tell who uses Canva lol
Beware if you are considering using this company. My real estate team has used Canva for several years and sadly, we are just learning that their customer service is non-existent. We recently had an unfortunate situation with multiple files/designs being deleted and it's remained unresolved for over a month despite our expressed urgency. We have filed an issue report via the website countless times and corresponded with a vague named rep, who offered no answers and now doesn't even respond to any update requests. All we get is that "It's been escalated." Of course, there's no phone number to reach an actual person. Some response, either way, would be expected as a customer given the deletion of files that we need desperate help retrieving and no one gets back to us. You realize the true support a company has when something goes wrong. Even though we are paying customers, they have not been at all helpful. We have waited patiently and are now going to have to pay a 3rd party to recreate files that should be available in a server from a company that houses all our graphic design files. We will have to stop using this company unless a quick resolution is offered.
The free version of Canva was very good. Easy to learn; used it to make flyers and social media posts at my past library job. But as of Jan 2019, they now charge for stuff that used to be free. For example, it's now $1 to download a PDF of your own design... yet there's no discernible onscreen way to buy it. (Hello, web design fail!) Then I foolishly signed up for the Canva for Work option. Want to cancel it? Nice try! Any "business" that relies on e-forms on their website for ALL communication; sets said e-forms to take far too long to actually send; and then takes 2 WEEKS to reply to said e-form is a scam, IMO. FWIW, I've tried to contact them via their e-form system at https://support.canva.com on 2 different machines (home laptop + my more powerful work machine). In the screenshot below, Canva's e-form has literally been spinning in "now sending" mode for 58 minutes! If you expect me to pay $ to use your "service" as a "subscriber", then give me a reliable, genuine way to contact you. Looks like I'll be joining the line of folks filing disputes with their CC companies.

Update: As soon as we posted this we started receiving emails from Canva but again, now over 2 months into our issue, we still have no resolution. I've been contacted by half a dozen people with the same email address. Each one tells me how it's been escalated... for 2 months
Horrible customer service. Canva had the best template that I found for a death announcement. The design and ordering process was quite good. Transaction emails were straightforward too, and I got a UPS tracking number for my shipment. Today when I checked, the UPS tracking ID indicated that the order had been "Delivered" this morning, but there was no package. 8 hours later, still no package.
I submitted a Support form on the Canva.com site with all the pertinent information, and was notified that Canva would send me an email soon. Well, I got the email promptly, but it was infuriatingly useless. The response completely ignored my issue that I did not receive a supposedly delivered order, and the Support response was simply their Help article that said I would get notified when my order had shipped, with the rough delivery timelines for each tier of shipping. To add insult to injury they also provided as if being super helpful, the order's tracking ID, which of course simply again showed me "Delivered" with a time from this morning.
Awful customer service, and provides you with no way of reaching a real person. I might have just lost $120 worth of print order and worse not be able to mail death announcements for my family member on time. I'm so angry.
Unfortunately I had a terrible experience with this company. I notice that most positive reviews are from Australia, but as a UK customer I was properly put through the ringer. I took a 'free trial' with this company for my small business, but the designs weren't professional enough for me and so I cancelled the trial and moved to another website which served my needs better. Despite cancelling my trial Canva proceeded to take funds from my account. On writing to them, as they have no contact number if you're based in the UK, I received an email from their customer services stating someone would be in touch, that was many weeks ago, and despite emailing them repetitively they have now ignored all my emails and kept the money they illegally took from me. Nice customer service.
I don't usually write reviews, never mind negative ones, but this company behaved in such a disreputable way that I wanted to warn others. Particularly if you're a UK customer, I would avoid as there's no way of contacting them and they will ignore your emails I assure you. Think twice before you sign up with them, there are so many companies out there doing the same thing, but better.
My business email was illegally taken over my a former employee on May 5,2020. While I work with the US legal system to fix this, I asked that Canva either change the email associated with my Canva account or delete my account entirely. They do not have a phone number, so I have messaged them on Facebook, finally connected with an employee, and have now had over 30 email exchanges with them to fix this simple issue. Every single reply to my concern does not address the problem or even imply that they read my email. I have twice now sent them my personal bank info, proof of purchase, and PDFs of my designs - all of which made me very uncomfortable to do over email but they assured me there was no other option. Why I had to do it twice within the same email chain is beyond me. They offered a two month refund, but my account is still active and will be charged in the future with an incorrect email - neither of which I can access. I am at a total loss for how to advocate for myself any further, as they are now completely ignoring my emails and I cannot reach anyone who works for Canva on social or through their email. It has been over a month since I've received any notable reply to my many messages. Not only am I being charged, but my requests are being completely disregarded. They refuse to help me access my account or address issues. I believe this company is a scam and is stealing from customers. Stay away!
This site makes my life so much easier! I am a teacher and I make almost everything using Canva! Easy to use, great graphics and templates for when I am having creative block!
Used CANVA as it offers easy-to-use images, editing, and design creation, but the end result while looking okay on CANVA has terrible Resolution. I made logo and packaging design and should have used Adobe from the start, Now I have to redo everything, including replacing images, because they are blurry. Anything is small text is so unclear, that its a smeer.
There should be a warning, CANVA Is not professional, and the text & image resolution is AWEFUL!
Total waste of time and money.
Answer: That was one of my issues. No active link to cancel the free trial subscription.
Answer: There is zero support. Until they do something about it, don't begin with them. Try Snappa instead.
