I bought 2 tickets with them and without any notice they cancelled one. Upon realising I tried to contact them with no luck so booked another ticket elsewhere $200 more than I had paid. After repeated request I am still waiting for a refund. Very hard to contact them and even harder to get money back. Still waiting.
I booked an international flight through them and also included infant in lap. They did not charge me the 10% fee the airline company requires for traveling with infant in lap. I have tried emailing (no response after two email attempts) and calling (their customer service line is not accepting ANY calls). I certainly hope I am not met with an incredibly unnecessary, stressful day when I show up with my baby at the airport. Would not recommend this company AT ALL! If you can take our money, the bare minimum expectation is to have customer service available for us.
Budget Air have just caused me the loss of $4700 for a premium economy ticket by not replying to my multiple requests to change the dates of my flights. I was given incorrect advice via email than advertised on their website. They did not answer phones. Operating hours were wrong and they did not reply to emails. I threatened them etc and still no email dialogue continued. I could not find an actual address for them either. I am taking legal action but heed my advice. NEVER EVER book through Budget Air. I am giving one because I cannot give a negative one
I booked flights for myself, my wife and our son to attend mt son's Law School graduation. In the interim, my wife was diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing pre-surgery scans and treatment. She was unable to use her ticket due in part to the scans and the also the risk of covid infection. We have been told that no refund, either partial or full, is payable. This was blamed on the airline policy. I will never book again with these people and will urge anyone who will listen to avoid Budgetair at all costs.
Budget Air has proven to be one of the worst agencies ever and I really wonder why they can still be operating. It is easy to see that their positive reviews are fake. Do not try to contact them through their call center, they will make you waiting to spend more money and shut down the call intentionally afterwards. Do not expect refunds, they will send you meaningless emails finding excuses. Just book through air companies websites you ll spend 5% more but you will save so much time and money in case of changes or any other issues. It all happened to me. The worst service ever.
I booked a ticket on budgetair.in site from India to London. However later airlines cancelled my ticket. However budgetair has not refunded my money. They so it have a Indian customer care number. U emailed them but they said that they don't have customer care on email too. They asked me to call a number in Europe Netherlands for customer care. This is a international number which costs very high. This shows the level of deception. Their domain ends with. IN to pretend as an Indian website. But they have no Indian support.in case you need to contact customer care, you are totally screwed.

Ask you bank account details for remittance with bank charges occurring from their bank and our bank on the customer. In simple words they are big cheaters and you will have no options left except opening dispute of transaction with your bank card and wait for refund
This company is a fraud. Literally the biggest mistake I made online was to pay them money instead of buying directly from the airlines or even some other agency. They come up with new excuses to steal your money. Stay away from them.
Cannot travel due to COVID problems and when I reached out to them they dished it off onto a insurance company who denied any claim. They don't give a $#*! and will gladly take your money and say there is nothing they can do. Lost 1000 bucks…
My experience with BudgetAir is terrible. The customer service received was terribly disappointing. I wanted to cancel my tickets 8 hours after the purchase for family emergency, and the customer service representatives hung up on me five times.
The rates are not advantageous and dealing with BudgetAir ended up costing me over 300$ more than with any other agency. They will never have business coming from me again, and I strongly recommend against using their service.
I need to change my flights and have tried contacting them 4 times through the chat bot with no response. I have emailed them but those on email are not authorised to provide flight changes. They don't have a contact number so I can't call them I'm going to have to keep trying through the chat but i can say I would never ever book through them again and highly don't recommend this service

Needed to cancel my flight and there is only a bot to contact. It will tell you you can cancel and be refunded but the flight stays active and no confirmation email is sent. If you try to use the cancel button it gives an error message 'Oops there is an error.' I tried to contact though the web form and it took until the next day for someone to get back in touch. By that time it was 'too late' to get a refund. There is no number to contact. Just bots. Lost $1300. Shameful business model
I booked our flight for 5 people and received booking confirmation that it was succesful, went to sleep and only to find out through email that they have to cancelled it but already got the huge amount of money, They expect customer to understand but HOW ABOUT US? Called many times and nobody was picking up the call! You left us with all these troubles, no conscience? Where will we get that huge amount of money to get a real airline tickets for our trip. You people dont deserve to have a business With this kind of customer service. Lessons learned -never again... you dont even deserve 1 star at all, if there is 0 star in the selection, i will give you that.
It is my single most worst experience from a business in the last 15 years. I still regret not using my go to expedia website for buying flight tickets. It's been more than a month since the budgetair cancelled my tickets due to their inability to confirm the flight changes I agreed to, and charging me $330 cancellation fee. It's been more than a month still I yet to see any signs of refund to my card. They have no phone customer service, and every time I email them, I'll get a different response. I had lot more miserable experience to share, but I don't want to revisit the topic again. I normally don't write review on the internet, but I am motivated to write a review for budgetair and let people know about their worst service. If you come across the budgetair website while shopping for any of their products, avoid it like a plague and run in opposite direction.
Took the money and didn't book the flight and when contacted them 1 day before flight, they just told the amount will be refunded and no one even bothered to let me know that tickets were not booked while the booking was showing on their website that booking is done... Waste of money and time... had 2nd bad experience...
No one should ever book a flight using this booking agent, especially if you ever need to make a change to your flight schedule. They'll steal money from you claiming that ticket prices hiked.
They have no reliable form of communication. You can only communicate with them by chat with a robot.

I had 2 tickets from Tel Aviv to Cape Town, but because of the war, Ethiopian cancelled the flight. Ethiopian said I have to deal with the company I bought the ticket through and confirmed that they have already refunded Budget Air. I have sent 5 emails to date, never ever received a reply and have never received my refund. There is no number to contact, they don't respond to emails and basically are a BIG SCAM. Never use this company. I don't even know why airlines accept bookings with them or how they even still exist online. Surely something must be done about these scammers? Are they really IATA approved and can we report them somewhere? They are getting a 1-star rating, only because I cant give them a 0-star rating.
Tried buying tickets for my grand kids to come to Florida everything went thru got my reservation number was just waiting on our itinerary but never received it, instead received an email the following day saying the seats are no longer available but you already took my money how does that work! Just really pissed now you have my money on hold but I don't have the tickets never using this site again! Very pissed Grandpa in Orlando (busa*******) was my reservation number before the let down!
I called this company today for an electrical job. The person came out and robbed me of 300.00 for my wallet. He said he needed to get a tool from his car and he never returned. He stole my money for the repairs but did not do any work. I am 80 years old. I called the police they have him on file but I will never get my money back. So at the very least, I wanted to make sure everyone knows Jose is a crook! Please do not become a victim of this company
BudgetAir offers you a "changeable" ticket deal of $100 that you pay for as an add-on to your flight. It is supposed to be "flight change insurance". After you pay this extra price, it brings you to a box that gives you the opportunity to get even more insurance like "flight delay", "flight cancellation", "lost luggage", etc.
I opted out of this service.
Later when I tried to change my flight, they claimed I didn't purchase the insurance. I have screen shots of this, but my credit card company says the dispute will take 30+ days to resolve. My flight is in 28 days and I will not be home to "handle" this fraud case. Nor would I while I'm vacationing.
They are a scam, completely illegal, and the credit card companies don't care so long as they have you buying expensive tickets. BudgetAir and Discover can both rot in "heck".
Answer: Yes it is that bad. Stay away, you never know if your booking will go through or not. They charge ridiculous service fees so if you dont have the correct type of card (mastercard, visa, debit, credit etc), they will charge you upwards of $20 minimum to make your booking.

Always cancel with your airline first to be safe like I did... Since early February Budget Air has yet to answer the phone or return my emails, AVOID USING THIS COMPANY AGAIN!
