I bought neq furniture 15months ago and bought the extended warranty, and the associate at the store said it would cover damage with no qustions asked, so i tried to put in a claim because my couch has started coming apart. They told me that they would not cover under warranty. DO NOT PURCHASE FURNITURE AT BIGLOTS THEY DO NOT STAND BY THERE WARRANTY IT IS A WASTE OF MONEY. I even called biglots corporate and they will not do anything either

Worst store ever! Have cyber Monday sale do pick up at store and tell you it's available let you order it and then later on tell you you can't have it in it's not available. Customerservice absolutely horrible they are rude. They basically faults advertising and let you put stuff in your cart order it and then don't follow through with it. Don't waste your time

I just got off the phone after speaking with Lori@ Big Lots in Statesville, NC. I'm fairly new to the area but have stopped at this store several times and I have always been waited on by Lori. Her service was always quick, friendly and curtious. Even when she had another customer she said she would be just a few min. Or she'd call someone else to help me. I knew from my first encounter, she was worth the wait. Even while she was helping the customer I could tell that she really knew what she was doing, was well trained and had a genuine caring, helping and respectful nature. Lori would answer all your questions plus give extra info about the furniture and ads going on and how to get the best price. She was also good at requesting some item I might like to accessorize without sounding pushy. She has been a joy to work with and speak with. Lori is a great asset to your company and I would love for her to be recognized for her great work and great customer care. Thank you, Judi Hopper
Went online $4.95 shipping for a $6 item BUT in was "in stock" with SEVEN available. I drove the twenty minutes to the store. The clerk can't find them, but a store 10 minutes away has ELEVEN in stock. Drove there. Clerk can't find them. BUT a store 20 minutes away has 3 in stock. No thank you. A week later I go back online and they have a pick up in store option. So I try that. 10 minutes later it is cancelled. I call the 800 number, they don't know why it was cancelled, and I should call the store. I already talked to them last week. How about YOU call the store, since you are customer service. We don't do that. How about you ship them 3 so I can pick them up? We don't do that because they have them in stock. How about you ship them to me with free shipping since the 3 stores in my area can't find them? Can't do that.
Went into big lots in north augusta, sc and they had expired food on shelves and there was no prices on a lot of stuff... Bathrooms were disgusting
Security Guard super nice and helpful so are some of the employees. But I went Sunday@ 3pm using the restroom first and it was disgusting. I told the employee abot the poop smeared on the toilet and it's a health hazard the Health Dept would shut the store down and she said as she was entering the bathroom it's not her concern. I went again Monday@ 3pm 24 HOURS LATRE to how the headboard attached to the bedroom set I purchased and went to use the restroom again and the poop was still smeared o the toilet. Not one FEMALE EMPLOYEE had bothered to take concern to the matter. HOW NASTY AND CARELESS CAN A FEMALE BE!
I went to buy a mattress and headboard at Big Lots online. After putting my information in and confirming, it kicked me out. Re-did and the same thing happened. I called their customer service 800 number and they had no record of the order and said they were experiencing "computer issues" and to try again later. Then my bank called. They had 2 pending charges from Big Lots totaling $1,736.38. I went back to Big Lots to get them to cancel those pending charges and then began the odyssey of the absolute worst customer service and shopping experience I have ever had. They basically "borrowed"- I would say STOLE 1700- and I had to jump through hoops to get it back. I didn't do anything wrong - it was all on their side. By locking up my money on a double charge I was late with rent, phone bill, car insurance payment. I couldn't buy gas or food. They sent me an e-mail saying someone would get back to me and this would be settled in 24-48 hrs - No call, I had to call and it was just the "next step". They demanded all this information to send to my bank and when I asked I asked when it would be done (this was Noon on Friday 08/02) I was told that they didn't know and that department was gone for the weekend and no one was there that could help me or talk to me. They did send me once to the "Manager voice Mail" which they obviously do not listen or respond to and if its emergency - call the 800 number (that I was just transferred from) and they will assist. I finally got my money back after I disputed the charges. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY

Yesterday I was at Big lots in Concord NC and person at the register, her name was Pat, Pat in my opinion should be a manager at 70 years old, she is so sweet and can run circle around the average worker in their twenties and thirties.
Cart I used had the metal bars cut where a child would set, I didn't see the cut bars and cut my hand. I asked for help, the store manager got irritated with me asking for some first aid/triple antibacterial cream and a band aid. I was given a band aid and a paper towel soaked with rubbing alcohol. This happened 3 months ago and I now have a 3" scar on my hand. None of the store employees tried to help when I went to the cash register, I was bleeding and asked for some one to please help me
They treat you like family here. You always feel welcomed. I will always come to this store and spend my money.

Yet another perk to Big Lots. Now, buy online, directly from their website. Since BigLots beginning in the early 80s, they have quality beverage ware / stemware. Recently bought some white wine glasses. Very finely made lead free crystal at a fraction of the MSRP price. Received securely packaged and within the same week of order placement. BigLots carry many have quality items at great prices.
Since I have posted my previous review about the deckchairs, I received an e-mail from LBIMPORTS>COM now telling me to send in pic of torn seat and the will refund my money. I have done so now we will see if they are true to their word. I will be happy if they do as I am a disabled lady and save a long time for those chairs.
I was in the Big Lot store in Lincolnton, N. C. Store# 5328 I wanted to compliment the store manage Jeff. It was one of the cleanest and most organized Big Lot stores I have been in. Everything was so neat and in its place I was so impressed. The manager was very nice and pleasant.
I have 2 favorite Big Lots--& even if I not buy on this trip--while browsing & getting ideas employees helpful & friendly--Keep up great work!
Answer: Only during business hours and good luck. They all seem very busy and unable to help beyound try the website in a couple of hours if you can't complete your order.
