Visited store in Stone Mt. Ga. On 11/6/23.After making selections I was greeted by a very pleasant young lady cashier. Sir how are you today, did you find everything you need? She recognized my veteran status by the hat I wore, asked for my phone number for rewards as well, and gave me the option to donate to a charity.
The interaction was relatively brief but quite pleasant. Thank you Big Lots for employing such nice people.
Her name I think was Ariel.

Big Lots in store price not matching on posted price. The item 5 shelf bookcase was not advertised price in store after confronted cashier she asked Manger and Said it was not price advertised on sign below item even after I photographed Said sign for item, to me if its posted that price it is. Therefore I did not buy false advertised price item. Cashier said $50.00 buy showed her price on this item on sale.

Horrible
October 3, 2023

Purchased a Halloween inflatable. It worked the day I got it, worked for two days and would not turn on any more. Called big lots and was told it is past the 30 day return window and they will not refund my purchase. I purchased it on August 19th and it stopped working today. So I was supposed to know by September 18 (well before the time I would decorate for Halloween) that this product was a piece of garbage and would only last two days. Never shopping at Big Lots again. I shop there quite often. DONE!

Reimagined?

Not sure what corporate genius decided to make a furniture store out of Big Lots but they appear to be out of touch as to why most people visited the stores. I used to go in an browse at least once a week to see what new items they had on the shelves. I really have no reason to go back.

Disappointed

I was so excited to see BigLots back in Carrollton. But now it's a regular price store—nothing seems discounted compared to other stores! I got dog food and laundry detergent at a better price than DG—other than that, everything is priced like other stores. I miss the old BIG LOTS that had discounted prices and made me feel like I was saving money!

I went in to big lots on gunbarrel road Chattanooga TN, *******, we were looking at a really nice set, but when we saw the furniture guy bend over, he was carrying a fire arm it was Thursday past, we left we felt very unsafe.

They promised to deliver my one peace of furniture as I just moved from FL on Thursday September 7th nothing happened no calls, I slept on the floor with my 10 years old daughter, everytime I called them an answering service answers from India, bunch of lies, the driver is on his way BS, they tested me to reschedule, I did it gave me Monday September 11 I ended up sleeping on my clothes etc.
The worst delivery company ever. I advice you people, do not use this scam company and they should be banner. This is America and I am gonna sue them big time for the suffering they put me thru. Also the Big Lots manager lied as well ohh no worries you'll get your furniture bunch of bull $#*! lies
I am really disappointed, sad, mad as he'll.
Don't ever use this Company and Big lots should fired them because they're all on same basket bunch liars.

Rip offs!

Big lots credit is ruining my credit with interest charges I refuse to pay. I called to payoff my account a couple days before the zero interest charges ended. Lady took my payment and a month later they said I owed all the over $350 interest saying the representative typed my account number wrong thus delaying the payment to go over the free year with no interest. Same checking account I had always used they had on file. They intentionally mistyped my account number to delay the payment. RIP OFFS!

I bought a king size mattress set online. Then the day of the delivery the person that was delivering it call and said I needed to buy another box springs because I only had one when it needs two twin Xl box springs. So you think when you buy a set it should come with everything you need. So I will probably never buy from again. Not very happy

Big Lots was competitive, kept in touch with me, arrived when said they would, and delivered to my room of choice - many furniture companies /distributors do none of the above, particularly in the NW United States. I will be back! Thank you!

We went into the local store yesterday to check out a Broyhill sofa I found online. While in the store, we realized online offered same day shipping for $99. In-store purchase would've been next day. We chose to sit and do the order online. (We did this while still in the store) Well it is well after 24 hours early and we still have no sofa. 3 calls have been made to Customer Care which was a joke. If we file an investigation, it'll be 1-3 business days for them to look into it. We asked for a refund of the shipping fee and we were denied, stating it's a set delivery fee and not guaranteed delivery in a certain time frame.

This is very frustrating because, had we known, we would have chosen to buy in our local store. For that matter, we could have rented a truck same day.

Unbelievable

I wanted to order three items online, $16.27 total.
BigLots: "Not Available for Shipping. Pick up the first item in Madison, AL. Pick up the second item in Huntsville, AL. Pick up the third item in Decatur, AL." Seriously?! Stop making fools of people and shut it down!

I will admit - I used to be a HUGE shopper of Big Lots - and utilized their Rewards program on a VERY REGULAR basis. It was a phenomenal rewards program - and the items that used to be stocked for MANY years were pretty decent quality items, and Many years ago, you could find "close outs" of pretty nice things from pretty big name stores? For example, I bought a small end table either in 2007 or 2008 that was a Pier 1 End table AT BIG LOTS!? You could find hidden "gems" and treasures over the years, especially if it was on Clearance, AND you had rewards dollars? I used to get quite a few grocery items there - we are talking gourmet food items that was a BEST KEPT SECRET? Like jumbo garlic stuffed olives, and tins of smoked oysters? THEN they took over the Broyhill name The items were pretty decent quality - not as GREAT a quality as Broyhill was before the takeover - I even bought a number of home accessories there by Broyhill a few years ago like "lanterns", candles, Christmas decor on clearance, etc that was pretty nice. Fast forward to today - I pulled up Big Lots online and cringed at EVERY item on their site? EVERYTHING looked super cheap quality - even the Broyhill furniture looked like it had drastically declined- yet it seemed WAY over priced for the quality it looked like? Granted - I had not stopped in my local store yet - but if this is any indication of the direction Big Lots has taken the last 2-3 years - count me out!? A real shame! I was a pretty heavy shopper there for several years - but I did not even recognize the types of items the store is now selling? I guess I will just stick with Dollar Tree, TJ Maxx, Home Goods, etc where it may cost a little more, but I have NEVER bought anything of questionable quality from Home Goods or TJ Maxx, and Dollar Tree is Cheap stuff - may not be the best quality - some of it is not half bad - but at least you know what you are getting into when you buy from Dollar Tree?

Incorrect prices
August 1, 2023

Stopped at Big Lots today and bought a number of items, including many on their 40% off sale. Most of the 40% off items rang up at regular price. When I brought it to their attention, the cashier grumbled and after 10 minutes of adding the discounts manually, still fidnt get it right, charging me twice for some items.

Not worth the hassle - stay away from this store. The company is very poorly managed.

I have spent the better part of my morning trying to verify my in-store purchase scheduled for pickup this week. I paid for the purchase using my debit card, but was told my order was cancelled. Never mind that my bank account shows that they debited my account. But will they reverse the payment? Heck No. I want to order the item from Amazon Warehouse, but I can't do it until they refund me. (I'm on social security and don't general keep almost $200 lying in my account!)

Protection plan
July 17, 2023

I purchased the protection plan that Big Lots offers in 2021. Zipper on my recliner broke. Took me forever to get a person on the line. After taking all my information they informed me they won't pay because they don't fix zippers. Now had it been ripped or burnt they would of covered. So for $89.99 I paid was a waste! I suggest that you don't purchase the insurance.
