Had to wonder why they billed credit card under different names. It could never be for fraudulent intentions. Who is protecting us from business's that offer no viable product. As a physician, their recommendations are not only laughable but dangerous. How could they have ratings this low? Couldn't they at least have employees file some fictitous positive reviews? How much more will they make selling my info on the dark web?

Better to avoid

The company use somewhat fraudulent business approaches to get you money. You buy a one-time service and afterwards, a month later, you find that you subscribed with a monthly fee, which they charge to your credit PayPal accounts.

Scammers

Please, be informed that there is no way for BetterMe to charge one's account without the direct permission of the user. Each user chooses a subscription package and is being billed due to the conditions of this subscription. ​

If a user doesn't want to continue using the service, they can cancel the subscription 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. This information is clearly available on the checkout page for our customers to review before placing the order. They can also find it in the confirmation email along with the option to unsubscribe by contacting our support team

I have not accessed their site or app. I also checked Apple subscription and there is NO subscription for BetterMe.

All I did was I accessed their advertisement in FB and clicked through the pages but closed the page the moment I landed on the payment details. No authorisation made and again, BetterMe is not listed in Apple subscription. So how could these charges have happened.

Beware of this site and their advertisements!

They refuse to cancel my subscription even though it's never been downloaded to my phone or laptop.

"We can't assist you until you have used our diet for seven consecutive days"—REALLY?

I've got news for them, if they attempt another charge with my account, my lawyer will be on their toes in a nanosecond.

Scammers

Subscribed through apple store for one year. Once subscribed to got other windows pupup asking for more money for meal plans and workout plans. This is SCAM be worned. Luckily cancelling through apple is easier.

UPDATE: After further review BetterMe credited my account the full amount. I am thankful they reviewed my account and helped to correct the fraudulent charges.

I never purchased their services or their app. However, I was being charged monthly via PayPal. I filed a complaint and they reimbursed all but the first month stating that they are not responsible for scammers. I never used their service, so this review is based on the fact they would not fully refund my card when I had never used their app or service. Fraudulent charges.

This company is horrible. Multiple charges not approved by myself. They have probably taken close to $100 of my money without my consent. Customer service is zero help. Everyone--REPORT THEM TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISION. I have already logged my complaint so they can investigate this fraudulent company further.

I purchased the product thinking that it was going to give meal plans/tips and give you details on the what when and/or how. Oh was I surprised when it was finally sent to me. The plan first off started on day two mind you I placed the order at 10PM on the same day that the plan started for me. Second the plan didn't give you any meal prep or what to buy so that you could actually follow through the plan and prep or have items in house. It is just a mess all together and a scam if you ask me. I saw what the company was offering and immediately requested cancellation only to be told that there are no refunds. With better me you better not. Also, what I find odd now is that there's nowhere to write or find reviews I wish I had done my research first. Lesson learned.

Utterly disappointed never download this app don't give them your credit card information charged me weekly after I sent them a bunch of messages to cancel ignored my question tried to offer me deals which I did not want and just kept charging me do not download this app holad to go to the bank and change my card number that's how bad it got!

Yes, I should've read reviews before I trusted this "company" or whatever they call themselves.
I've tried explaining why I should get a refund but maybe they are just not educated enough to understand. See, I just don't know what to do anymore, draw a picture...?. OR, they know exactly what I mean but they don't give a ****. They keep repeating the same lines in every e-mail.
If they wanted better reviews from their 'customers'... they should've been more professional and less... unprofessional...
Also, I see you keep taking money from people who stopped the subscription and even those who never subscribed... Disgusting.

I don't need no reply from your so called team. I just need people to read this and not be so trusty and dumb like I have been...

Please do not fall victim to this company / website / app like I did. I took a quiz on intermittent fasting and in order to get my results I had to sign up, they offer a free 30 day trial so I figured I would do that just to see my results, however something told me NOT to complete my registration so I quickly exited the process. I then noticed a pending charge on my credit card, so I emailed the company ask why I'm being charged when I didn't create an account. No one replied, I emailed about 8-10 more times and still no one has replied. I then decided to look up reviews and I've seen hundreds of negative reviews stating the same thing about this company - worst customer service and scammers. PLEASE SAVE YOURSELF AND DO NOT OPEN AN ACCOUNT OR USE THEIR APP! In the end, I had to report them as fraudulent with my bank and the better business bureau.

Theu charge you 19.99 for some plan, but really you have to pay another 19.99 after the 1st 19.99 to ACTUALLY get a plan. A plan that is just useless junk you can easily get for free from a simple google search.
Total scam and worst app ever.

I've paid for only for the plan as it turns out- I also have a meal plan added to my costs. I wrote 6 emails with a request to cancell my subscription- all of them- with no reply! MY ID ******* for the first email. I am a student, I am not happy with the app and I don't want any money to be taken from my account. TERRIBLE APP, I DON'T RECOMMEND, ITS IS SO DIFFICULT TO CANCEL. I guess they are doing it in purpose, as I've sent my first email with the question "what is my subscription" and I immidiately got the response what my subscription is and I was supprised that I have some additional stuff. I want to cancel this and not to have to deal with this awfull app anymore!

Signed up without checking reviews like I normally do
Sign up for a trial one time payment. I used PayPal instead of my regular debt card. Thinking I could just not send any more payments if I didn't like the app. I was wrong. All of a sudden PayPal was sending recurring payments. I did not authorize recurring payments. It was supposed to be a 1 time payment.
Then I look up how to cancel the subscription
Easy it says. Go to iTunes and setting them to subscriptions snd cancel the one you don't want. It didn't show up as a subscription so I felt I was good and deleted the app. Only to look at my PayPal statements and they took out 2 more payments. Now I find I cancel it on PayPal not my iTunes. So I do. All of a sudden I'm directed to a link that takes me right to a cancel option. These options were not available on the app until I canceled recurring payments I didnt sign up for. It says they are supposed to make it very easy to see snd read they will keep stealing out of your account. They don't. Avoid this garbage at all cost

You probably have made your registration on a website and not via the App Store. That is why you couldn't cancel the subscription via the App Store directly. It seems I've had a similar experience to a lot of these reviews. My PayPal was charged twice ($29.99 and $25.99) and I've received nothing. I downloaded the app and entered my sign-in information but it shows no record of my purchase and every time I try to use one of the features it wants to charge me again. Ridiculous. There is absolutely zero customer service. No phone number to call, and no response to messages.

Thieves!

I do not recommend this app at all. At first, I thought it was only one-off charge. Only to find out, it is weekly payment on the receipt. I asked for a cancellation right away and they said they will look into it within a few days. I haven't heard from BetterMe since and surprisingly I was charged for the same amount the following week. I again asked for a cancellation which was responded with an apology. Apology accepted but all I want you is to cancel my subscription, thats it! This is very frustrating. You left me no choice but to leave a bad review which could have been avoided if you cancelled my subscriotion right away. I am still waiting for it to be cancelled. Please don't wait until I will be charged for the 3rd time for an app that I haven't used at all.
