I've been super lucky and found some great deals on open box items via the website. Got my son a pretty spectacular gaming laptop for Christmas at around 60% off the regular price.
Overall, Best Buy is a complete joke. I've complained to the Better Business Bureau about this company. They are complete rip off. I can't wait until Amazon buys them out and they shut down. They literally stole a package and refused to give me my money back. I found the police report, and they never refunded me for the amount. Then for complaining, they placed me on a no online order or store delivery order List as if I would purchase from them again.

Boy, if you don't watch them, they will get you. I had a customer service person (in store) tell me that I had a warranty on my printer (3rd replacement Cannon G7020!) and turns out she didn't know her a$$ from a hole in the ground. They got hundreds of dollars from me because of that. Then they lost an even bigger sale by cheating me. They have lost another customer. I wouldn't go back there if you paid me.

Do not get fooled and sign up for rewards programs on their visa. Bc it absolutely sucks. You have to waste so much time on getting your rewards and applying it.
I think my blood pressure went so high speaking to bunches of idiots they hired.

We just ordered a washer, with installation and disposal of the old one. Two guys showed up, saw that the dryer was connected to gas - we said we would disconnect, but one guy offered to do it for some cash; we shook hands and he said "We will be right back" -- and they left to get the washer (we assumed) but they never came back again. After about half an hour, we called BestBuy and suggested they just drop it off and we would take care of installation and they could credit us those fees. But no, they wanted to reschedule for next week. After we stayed home ALL day AND despite the fact that our delivery/installation window was still open and they could not have been far away. Unacceptable service, generally, but especially for someone who just dropped $1,000+. Cancelling my order as fast as I can.

As a geek squad member we were happy to know that there was in home repair when our TV went out. Until our appointment was canceled 3 times! Went into our local store trying to get help but they wouldn't even talk to us about it... only through the 1-800#. Getting our new TV from Costco at a better price with free add ons.
I wish I could give negative stars. I purchased a printer for my business, but when I placed the order, the shipping address did not register and defaulted to my billing address, which is a PO Box. I immediately (less than one minute after placing the order) contacted customer support and told them about the problem. The customer service rep told me he entered the correct address on the order. He lied. I never received the printer, especially since my post office box is 3" x 4", was never notified by the post office where the printer was, so I did not ever receive it or take possession of it (easy to confirm since I never signed for the package, nor was it scanned in as picked up). Best Buy customer service told me that the printer was at the post office and they were requesting a return. They lied again. They are now telling me that I somehow have a Canon printer sitting in my 3" x 4" post office box and I have to pay for it. The told me they "checked" their warehouse and the printer was never returned. They are intending to rip me off for an item I never received, never took possession of, and was, in fact, impossible to be listed as delivered. They are refusing to even request a search for the package by the post office, insisting again, that somehow the printer was stuffed into my post office box and I received it. This has been going on since Christmas They are not worthy of anyone's business.

Purchased a dishwasher. Delivery/installation crew claimed the water supply fixture for the dishwasher/sink was "totally" corroded and needed to be replaced at an additional cost of $450, on top of the purchase price. How convenient that they were there to do the job.

Plumbers also told me the wiring harness recommended by Best Buy and purchased for the install was risky and not recommended, but they did not offer an alternative. I assume that involved some effort to line their pockets as well.
Really poor form on the part of the plumbers, trying to milk someone for their personal gain when they were there to do a job for Best Buy. From the reviews I read after the fact, I don't find it surprising that Best Buy is affiliated with dishonest brokers.
I requested a complete refund. Despite being able to take my money immediately upon purchase, of course, they told me it would take days to process the refund.

HORRIBLE! Wasted my time talking to someone in the wrong department after I told the automated robot what I wanted. I get the texts on my phone for appts but she said she couldn't speak to me only my husband because my name is not on the account but we are total tech members. I am done with those jokers!
Whenever we shop at Best Buy, customer service is always friendly and helpful, however; my brother called tech support to make an appointment to have his laptop upgraded to Windows10. The customer service representative told him that they will be able to do the upgrade because he purchased a full tech support warranty, so she scheduled an appointment for him. When he showed up with the laptop, the "technician" didn't seem to know what to do, and he told my brother that his laptop was too old, and it could not be updated. My brother is in his 60's and he is not computer savvy, however, he was able to install Windows10. It took him some time, but it is now installed and the laptop is working with no problems. By the way, 2 different people from the Geek Squad took a look at the laptop and didn't know what to do with it.
It seems that the tech support team, either doesn't want to do the job that they are being paid to do, or that they just don't know what to do.
My brother also received a message that his appointment was cancelled, which is not true, because he showed up for the appointment. They just couldn't install the upgrade.
These employees need proper training!

We spent one hour and six minutes resolving a charge for an item we never received from Best Buy. We were frequently informed that we needed to wait for various procedures, received inconsistent responses, etc. They were unable to send us a confirmation email to reassure us that this had all happened.
Company suppose to get signature for item being delivered doesn't follow it and item is missing and won't refund me after they said multiple times they would.go deal with a more reputable company.

Negative 11 Star review: Absolute garbage service on every level. I schedule a stereo install at the end of Jan. The earliest install appointment they offered was March 6. Not a problem I was willing to wait. Meanwhile, I receive numerous emails confirming my appointment including hours before I was scheduled. I show up to locked doors and notified from someone nearby that they no longer offer installs. I wait in line to speak to the Geek Squad manager, which after he completes his transaction with the person in front of me he literally walks away without eye contact.
Some other random glassy eyed waste of talent with a stained blue shirt informs me I just need to cancel my appointment via email and a refund will magically appear in 48-72 hrs. I call customer service to confirm at which point they clarify nothing has been cancelled, let alone refunded. This 2nd attempt at a refund leaves me in the same position with no receipt and no email. I call right back for a 3rd time, at which point this person was able to provide me with confirmation my refund is processed and a prompt email receipt.
Save your money and time and go elsewhere. I waited 6 weeks for this upgrade and they stood me up with no apology or even a required refund for lack of services rendered. What a waste of space, I hope they level that building and turn it into a parking garage.

spend your money anywhere else, buy something off a guy under a bridge and that would be more reliable than best buy.

I bought a computer at Best Buy and in December of 2023 I found out they had billed a renewal fee. I called the Geek Squad and canceled it and the guy told me he had it canceled and a refund would be coming soon. I have been calling for 4 months and still nothing. They called me a liar about calling in December and I ended up paying a prorated amount. I will never shop here again.

I ordered a "Geek Squad" refurb Xbox Series S from Best buy. When I received it, it was missing the battery pack AND I was sent the wrong charge cord without the AC wall plug. It uses the USB mini, NOT THE USB-C. After an hour plus going back and forth with online chat customer service, online Geek Squad, to which both just ended the chat without warning. To talking to someone at the call answer center. All told me to drive an hour away and return my item for a refund WTF! I ask them to just sent me the battery pack and I'd buy my own charger... No one would listen to reason or even cared. Use Amazon people! Boycott Best Buy! They won't even let you call your local Best Buy store. All calls are routed to a central call center and will not connect you with the local store. Boycott, Boycott! They have even blocked their own site from receiving reviews. "This function is no longer available" SERIOUSLY?!

We were shopping for a dishwasher and told the salesman that it had to have an open bottom to connect to our floor-mounted water source. He said it absolutely would. It arrived, and it had a closed bottom, so we sent it back. Without our knowledge or consent, they ordered a second one and charged us for it - the exact same one. We called and got customer service in India, where we were passed to 5 different people over the space of 1.5 hours. Finally, we got the right one ordered, but were told we wouldn't get credited for the first one for up to 7 days. All of these were their errors. Why are we made to float them an interest-free loan for a week for their mistakes? We canceled, and will never deal with them again.
I went to Best Buy this evening to purchase a 65" Samsung TV and a laptop. The sales associate sold me a Geek Squad package for $179 and told me and my friend that it would fix anything I purchased for 2 years including the TV and laptop I purchased this evening, for free. I got home I looked at my email I logged in and checked what it said it says I get 20% off of labor but I will have to pay for the parts. So What the hell did I pay for? A membership and I ask for geek squad insurance. My receipt is not legible most of the ink is missing. The sales rep stood there and blew smoke up my $#*!. My friend said so if she drops her laptop are you going to fix it? The sales associate said yeah they're going to replace it for free... Should everybody expect to have lying sales associates Uh just to make a sale.My son told me to look it up because he knew the sales associate was lying. My son is smarter than the Best Buy Associate. Lol

Something I had no intentions of purchasing but I was lied to so I purchased a damn membership at Best Buy that I wasn't interested in purchasing.
I never received my order that was supposed to be delivered in a few days. I followed up after almost. 2 weeks and saw that someone from Shipt picked up the order to deliver and then canceled it two days later. Absolutely no communication about this from Best Buy. I have done a few chat supports to resolve this and get my order through store pick up and keep being told a later and later timeline for reviving a confirmation email that would allow me to pick up my items in the store. I can't believe they are able to run a "business" like this. Quite honestly it feels like a complete scam at this point.
I purchased an open box "excellent" TV that wa listed as being in perfect shape and had it shipped to my house. When it arrived, I took the TV out, put the stand on, sat it on a stand and hooked up all the wires. When I turned the TV on there were lines and color marks all over the TV. Apparently, this "excellent" TV was never even checked by Geek Squad to make sure it actually worked! This doesn't surprise me because when I took it back to my local Best Buy store in White Marsh MD, I found that no one actually WORKS at Best Buy. I wanted to exchange the TV but after waiting for 30 minutes for some help I left along with two other people who were complaining about not getting helped. There were plenty of so-called workers there, but they were just sitting around on their cell phones. I asked the manager to get me some help and he quickly walked away and said he would call someone, but no one ever came to help. I NEVER plan on walking in Best Buy again and with this type of pathetic, lazy, and incompetent service Best Buy probably won't be in business much longer…

I went there today The Albany store. Was greeted by a man named John. He helped me choose a TV for around $2500.00. When it came to pay he told me my check was no good and I had to use another form of payment. I have a checking account just for this purpose. After I said forget it, he was cold and blew me off. I have bought many things at that store and will never go back again. Very bad customer service. Ignorant sales.

I wish I could give this a negative rating. TWICE now we have been bamboozled. First we ordered a dishwasher from the outlet, day of delivery we got an email they were coming 12-3.5pm the dishwasher never showed. Call the customer service number "oh sorry geek squad noticed it was broken when it got to the warehouse" Ok thanks for the heads up as we've been waiting! They let us pick out brand new dishwasher of our choice for that same price. Well Bosch was running a promo so we went the best one. Today our Bosch gets deliverd installed a week later, I run the first load luckily I was home because water was pouring out EVERYWHERE. Ope looks like it wasn't sealed properly so bestbuy can come out Wednesday or order a new one. HOW DOES A NEW DISHWASHER come broken. And how does it happen TWICE. Who works in the warehouse that can't handle products properly WTF! And you can't talk to anyone IN store, which is even more frustrating! NEVER AGAIN.
This business is so very difficult to converse with for any product questions. Also difficult to speak with a local store directly, everything goes through a call center. After 3 tries today, we will try to avoid Best Buy for all practical purposes. Although they speak English, all 3 were so difficult to understand, it was better to just hang up after 10 minutes of the rhetoric and call in again and see if a different person was understandable. This used to be our main place to go, but not anymore.
