Of our experiences with Best Buy, my daughters TV was the worst. She bought a 50" console TV. She financed it, and signed a contract. First she told them she wanted to purchase an agreement to have the TV serviced every year, and they checked that off. She repeated that a couple times. She didn't notice until a year later, looking back at the contract after phone calls to Best Buy that they checked off that she did NOT want that service. On line we found many complaints that they never do the servicing anyway. Then at the end, she paid the TV within the allotted time, so there would be no finance charge. If she went past the date, all finance charges would be added. She submitted her final payment on line with a week to spare. Then a bill came, they processed her payment one day late and added the charges. It was a battle, but we proved it was paid on time and they cancelled the charges. So my entire family avoids this store, we don't even enter the doors.
On 1-3-23 I ordered in the store an Onkyo receiver & cables. Tech Support was supposed to install the receiver on 1-14-23. On 1-7-23 I started getting conflicting emails and text messages. The text messages said the order has been canceled and the email said prepare for your delivery. After spending over two hours on hold and text chatting The offshore tech support said yes order is fine. The last text message that came in said everything was canceled. Yes I finally got a cancellation confirmation number. Basically, Tech Support doesn't know what they're doing or what products may or may not be in stock. If you buy from this place, pick it up at the store don't order anything at the store or online. By the way, it's impossible to talk to an employee at the store where you purchased hundreds of dollars worth of equipment.
When I was still investing, everyone was betting when they will go the way of Radio Shack. It's probably still the same now. How they survive? I have no idea. Now that one can buy from China directly through Alibaba, how can anyone justify paying more for a retina display dual booting octacore processor tablet - with a keyboard for more than $150? Bye Bye Best Buy!
Everytime I go into best buy I always have a problem getting service. When I ask for one person to help me they tell me it is not their department and they point and tell me to go in another direction. When someone is helping me I feel like I am being rushed and like I am asking too many questions. However when it comes to check out they are very nice. This occurs in Fairfield California store
Had to get police involved. Their delivery crew surrounded me and began threatening me with physical violence. They only backed off when I dialed the police and began taking pictures.
The installation crew pulled apart a gas line, and I asked if they could reconnect it. They became angry when I asked if I could speak to a manager. I ended up having to connect it myself, and I called the gas company to check my work.
A little scary and not exactly what my wife and I expected. We just thought we were ordering an appliance--which they delayed twice (once without notifying us).
When a company is willing to let quality or services drop this far they are probably on the way out.

Like most companies, Best Buy encourages you to use their pay on-line system, however, when you do, they will deduct 7 times over the amount you allow them to take out of your account. I allowed $100 on their pay-on-line system and they decided to deduct the amount of $700. Then when you call the company, representatives tell you it takes 45 days to resolve the issue. I called my bank and they also said it would take 45 days to resolve the issue. I informed my bank I would withdraw all of my money from their bank (5 accounts) if they did not refund my money deducted by Best Buy immediately. You must be careful with these companies these days. They are all unscrupulous and will leave you broke if you are not careful.
Do not use BEST Buy Pay on line services. Use your bank ONLY! These companies have lost their conscious trying to make the consumer broke.
It took me six cumulative hours on the phone in order to simply place an order due to a website glitch. Several customer service agents had no idea what to do, and either hung up on one me or sent me to other automated phone service goose chases. Then once I ordered the items, the items were changed from deliver to pick up. And then following that, the items were not available to arrive at the advertised time. I was then told I can alternatively, cancel the order, than go to the store and buy and that it was available at a location. It was not available. I have spent more than a days work trying to complete a purchase and ended empty handed. They have no in store customer service, and its all outsourced to South Asia via phone call. However the representatives have no ability to escalate to a management within the United States and have severe limitations in being able to help.
My items were delivered to the wrong address and yet they want me to call local authorities to get a STOLEN item. The item was not stolen, I have proof it was delivered to the wrong address. I have coordinated with their customer service but the experience was horrible. Why would I call local authorities for the wrong delivery? Worst they keep insisting to call local authorities. I have provided proof but they won't accept it and insisted it was stolen.
Just try to call a store and speak to an employee. Forget about it. They do not answer the phone. The call, after a few minutes, rolls over to a call center who also id unable to contact the store. The response from the call center employee? "Well, that's Best Buy. They're really busy". Hmm, I guess they're the only busy people in the world. Make a purchase there after this experience? No Way!
Best Buy advertises amazing deals on product that is not in stock. They say free shipping however, they truly do not deliver on that offer. Pun intended. They offer no resolution to an advertised item that has ceased to exist. They refuse to offer a comparable item at the sale cost they advertised. All in all they are the worst in customer satisfaction in my home.
It has a lot of electronics that you might need and some other related things, but its really not anything special. You would think that after being around for so long they would improve and stand out in some aspects but its really average.
I'm a big fan of Best Buy. The only reason I didn't give them 5 is pricing, which can be higher than most. However, Best Buy locations I've been to here in WV, always a great experience. Someone always willing to help and I like that.
Brought in computer for repair. They called later and told me it needed a new motherboard. Okay I said, they had one in stock and could replace it. 24 hours later, no updates online and no return calls. And you literally can't call a store for anything.
Got someone at a call center who told me they have to order the part (that was in store) and were waiting on a label? Their call center can't even call the store?! Terrible customer service when even the call center can't contact a store. Best they could do was to request an update to my online status which was still sitting at 'we received your device'. They hadn't even updated my status with the diagnosis they called me about a day before. And was told to replace a part that they had on hand was 7-15 days?! What? Brain surgery doesn't take that long.
Why pay for a $199 service when you don't receive any service? Scam.
Horrible customer service. Horrible return policy. Don't care about customers.
Not surprised anymore why Best Buy have 1,5 stars reviews. Simply avoid Best Buy.

No matter what you are looking for if nobody else have it, Best Buy will. And the prices are very competitive. I love the fact that they price match and their employees have excellent knowledge of the products that they sell.
Went to bestbuy today in Daphne Al. The service was so bad. The staff acted like they did not want to be working today.

Bought a camera. My trip got cancelled. I went to return but surprised to know the store is charging. 15% re-stocking fee. I told the associate but he was confident I signed agreeing to it. I opened my app and checkout another camera but then it didn't ask me to sign any re-stocking fee.

Purchased a phone from best buy and it got lost. I bought insurance for it and made a claim and paid the deductible and 3 and half weeks later I have still to receive a replacement for it. I would like to see them operate without a work phone as long as i have. This is ridiculous service. I have called several times to the same answer, you will receive a gift certificate within 1 to 2 buisness days. Ive been told that 5 times now, and as I write this review I have been on hold for 30 minutes now waiting to talk to a supervisor because I just got told once again I woul receive one in 1 to 2 buisness days pretty much a joke! I tried ordering online but their website is unable to take multiple items in one order! It took the rep on line over 38 minutes to place the order. Only to discover that Best Buy charged my AX the full amount of the order and then another amount and then a third amount! After spending another 24 minutes with a different rep without an answer to 3 charges, I called AX. It turns out the original order taker charged the full amount and then credited it and then charged 2 different amounts to come to the same total! Not one person could explain this to me after all this time with over an hour on the phone. I will never try that again. I am highly dissatisfied and hope this order arrives as a gift to the right address and on time.

Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
