Bought $2200 worth of appliances, stove, dishwasher, micro wave. Found a better price when bundled with a competitor of $140, BestBuy would not match the price I got. It's a shame when a lumber yard out sales an appliance giant for the same exact products.
Best Buy is very alluring with its large array of exciting electronics. However, they use tricks to get customers into high interest debt, and they also use tricks to avoid standing behind their warranties.
I recently purchased a coffee maker on line. 10 days later I noticed the item I purchased was cheaper a three different stores their return policy was if you see a lower price on line or in store we will match the price, but hidden some where else on their site you have to search for it, is a full page off exclusions that amount to they don't price match the the way it states on the main page. Because of this I will never shop best buy ever again and I will tell all my friends of my experience
You are an absolute fool if you purchase from the Green Bay store where purchasing and instillation is involved.
Don't purchase from them. Purchase locally where they will return your calls and service you.
I had an absolutely terrible experience with these non caring and on their own terms people.

Bestbuy used to be the place to go for electronics. I suppose appliances are still okay there, but I can't bring myself to get out of bed, put pants on, and drive to a building when I can have newegg ship the same thing for a better price.
Best Buy has been giving my rewards to my son for 9 months. I have contacted them over 20 times, waited on hour long holds. I finally got a hold of someone who is working on it since the beginning of May. It is now September. They keep telling me I have to be patient. Every time I call, they are "close" to fixing it t. They transferred my points once and now they told me to wait they will transfer them when they get it "fixed". I finally told them I am done. I will be paying off my credit card and closing it since they are so incompetent that it takes them 9 months to fix a problem.
I like being able to order something and either have it shipped or picked up.
Biggest problem is that during busy times, you can still end up standing in line. But i feel like that is a local problem since they will check people out at the pick up and don't check to see if anyone just wants to pick up.
I ordered all new kitchen appliances. Fridge came no problem. Range, microwave, and dishwasher and were delivered 2 weeks later. Though I paid for installation kits, install, and haul off for the old stuff, they just dropped the new appliances off and said we lied about having paid for this despite a receipt. 2 afternoons in a row now, trying to get things straightened out with them, and to reschedule the installation. It will likely be more than 2 weeks from now, but I am still waiting on them to reschedule. Call them worst buy. They are the worst. I will never do business with Best Buy again as long as I live.
Horrible attempts to reach a living person not a bot for account help online. Big deal w vision and severe hearing loss n Zero help during Covid. Worst part bots come up fine on trying to help but are never apparently passed onto Real People. Cannot get anything in writing and any person. Appalled esp after months inpatient and In recovery. Their lack of assistance for a physical issue disability has hurt my credit. No other company has been so obstinate and unhelpful. I'm about to take all my purchases and dump them and tell my family whose 3 business uses them.
Bestbuy is honestly the best place to shop electronics. Never had a problem with my purchases so far, and i'm planning to get much more from their site... especially, now that christmas is coming, it's gonna be creazy! Hope their customer service can take it
For this Holiday Season, I ordered big screen TV and sound box. I found better price with other web site. But as I read the reviews, the sites were claimed broken screens at the time of arrivals. I did know I didn't want to waste my time to return bringing back the large screens around. However I found few reviews on Best Buy, saying well packaged shipments with double boxes. The review was true. I was very amazed to see delivered large box, which didn't have store name. Even from the size of box, you could guess it is a large screen TV. And it was double boxed. I was very pleased.
I always have good experience with Best Buy, either with home delivered or store pick ups. I also like the choices I have on the products. They also have good sales on major holidays.
Spend over 3,000 there in an hour on appliances, and when they arrive two of them are broken. Ridiculous! Best buy did nothing. They claim to give you a 30 day gaurantee. But then say they can't get anyone to you within that amount of time so their "gaurantee" is no good. Call the manufacturer! Absolutely ridiculous way to treat loyal customers. They don't have to worry about my family spending anymore money there!
I can't say all experiences with Best Buy is as horrible as this store. I am a total tech member but will never go to Best buy again. I was sold the wrong product that I was told was correct as to what I purchased.printer ink. It was not. I went to take it back and exchange unopened and was rudely told to basically suck it and 89. $. I'm not rich. When I got upset he told me to leave his store and escorted out like a shoplifter for trying to make an exchange. I'm requesting upper management review of video footage because this was unacceptable in any way. I was also told by Marshall and rude employee it's not their job to get correct items for anyone. Bought a whole line of Samsung kitchen appliances from Mays Landing, NJ store (Refrigerator, dishwasher and stove). Warranty on brand new fridge was for a year. Decided to decline their "extended" warranty not expecting appliances to be as poor of quality as they were. 2 years on the nose after purchase fridge stopped cooling, over a $1000 would cost to repair. Came back to store, spoke to store manager Mike, zero accountability or desire to help. Basically he kept on saying once out of store they have no responsibility for product. That is all well and fine, but I expect more out of a company I've been very loyal over many years (he acknowledged it too because we could clearly see my Best Buy purchases the last few years). Based on many reviews I found online I strongly believe Samsung refrigerators are lemons and should not be pedaled by reputed retailers. Unless Best Buy or Samsung make it right never again am I purchasing from either.

Buying and delivery is mostly fine…until you need easy help (online)…. Then wasted time and aggravation. On multiple occasions the reps did not understand a simple issue and they handed me off causing me to repeat lost dialogue; or they simply disconnected me - 'technical problem.' Right! Further, they went out of their way to avoid honoring incentives. It seems managed by prior burger flippers or online gamers, maybe children?
The transaction appeared to go through at the time, however, got an email requesting validation of info the next day. That's cool. Gave info, but Still hadn't been completed the following morning. Eventually received confirmation ordered had been processed the next day. They actually pulled a credit report on me for a Visa paid $250 microwave. I don't like that. Other entities now assume I have debt with Best Buy. Ugg.
I placed a $4600. 00 order with Best Buy, they gave me a delivery date for the new T. V. & all seemed good.
The next day they send an email saying the T. V. mount will be delayed, ok things happen. The next day with in 1 minute of two of the items in this order being delivered, they sent an email & said the delivery date would have to be changed with no explanation. Best Buy has taken this approach since they hit a lull, they will advertise availability & once the order has been billed or partially delivered they change the delivery to fit their needs, or they don't have availability & tell you that they do so you will place the order. Sad state of affairs for what used to be a decent company! I will never make another purchase of any kind from Best Buy! I have been a Platinum member for the last 8 years, way to chase your loyal customers away.
The store really has a great range of pretty anything on their shelves. The minus for this store is the service itself - you need to insist on attention a bit when you need it. Someone could say its okay that the representatives ignore you and do not annoy with offers but still it could be better.
In the past few months I have placed several orders from Best Buy. Every single one has arrived damaged. Packages were either squashed or flattened or open. The shipping box was always perfect, so it's Best Buy's shipping department that's at fault. They are actually sending people the damaged products. I have been giving my relatives and friends squashed gifts!
The last product I bought was a new DVD and it arrived open and used.
Every time I chat with them I get an employee who has no idea what he's doing and wastes my time back and forth asking me the same questions over and over.
I am boycotting this company for good. They promise amazing service on their webpage but then they never deliver. Outrageous!

Answer: I would write a letter to your state's attorney general. There are laws regarding taking advantage of senior citizens. I would specifically ask for documentation from Best Buy in which your grandmother gave them permission to recycle her 18 month old computer. If they cannot produce that document they may be in very big trouble with the state's attorney general. I would also write the BBB and contact your public officials. This I think would be paramount to theft if your grandmother did not give them permission to recycle her computer. On the flip side of things, ASUS is a very good machine. My son is a computer scientist and swears by ASUS. I have three ASUS machines one of which is over 5 years old and it is a workhorse. Unless something significant happens in the ASUS business world, I will continue to buy ASUS!
