I could wax rhapsodic and go on and on about this retailer. They offer clothing, accessories, and the like for men and women; they get new inventory everyday and for a nominal price annually, they offer expedited 2 day shipping world-wide. Their prices are competitive, and customer service responsive, courteous, and awesome:-)
TERRIBLE customer service...
In their mind, service = online-only chat where they repeat canned responses about how they cant help you until you give up.
Asked for a phone number (they don't have one) or for them to call me and they said it could take up to 11 DAYS!
Worst ever.
I have placed an order with ASOS with next day delivery (which was for free because the order was over 150 pounds). In the confirmation email it states that order was due to be sent as standard delivery. I cancelled the order, placed it once again and made sure I have selected the delivery option I wanted. The confirmation email showed as before that delivery was standard. I sent several emails to the customer service and called them a few times. No luck with the callings... I have waited for more than 40 minutes once! Email were conflicting. A guy called M* and a lady called C* said the order was replaced and due to be sent as next day delivery. Others told me that that was not an option. Frustrating having conflicting answer. At the end the order was sent as standard delivery and I had to sent it back, ´cause I do not need it anymore. I have been an ASOS customer for years. Not anymore. If someone knows how I can permanently delete my account it would be appreciate
I haven't yet received my order but I am annoyed that the website offers 4 day shipping when that's obviously not the case. I have been going to the tracking website but they never update the info. I ordered Oct 31 and I just not got an email saying I'm getting my order on the 14th. Let's see if that's really the case. I have a feeling I'll get it even later than that the way things are so disorganized. I'll update my review once everything arrives. But just as a forewarning. Don't buy anything on the site if you're on a time constraint. It will definitely not arrive within the time frame they give you.
I ordered a few items from the Asos Germany site and very soon after submitting the order i realised that the delivery address was incorrect. I contacted ASOS immediately to see if this could be rectified but they told me that it was too late and that i also couldn't cancel the order! Appalling customer service and return policies, i have never heard of such nonsense!
I asked customer service about a specific shirt and was promised it would work with cufflinks.
The shirt arrived late and definitely does not work with cufflinks.
Product info is vital if you work in customer service - especially if you're claiming to sell more high end dress clothes for men. $100 for a shirt that isn't customizable isn't acceptable.
I bought it because I was promised it was what I needed - and you guys didn't deliver - please up your game on product information when asked by customer.
Ordered a dress for a wedding off ASOS. Specifically ordered the dress and shoes from them because they offered free 2 day shipping if you spent a certain amount, and I needed it by the end of the week. In the checkout it even gave me my estimated arrival day on a Tuesday.
Tuesday rolls around and I receive an email that it has "shipped" and wouldn't arrive for another week, after the event.
I contacted customer service who essentially asked me if I had any "proof" of the promotion. I said no, I didn't screenshot it because I didn't anticipate it, and that's not my responsibility. They essentially said since I didn't have any proof, that I could return it when it arrived if I didn't want it. Worst customer service ever. What kind of company asks for "proof" of promotions they offer?
If you ask me that's a scam to entice customers.
I ordered two dresses of ASOS for my bridesmaids. The dresses arrived on the exact day they were predicted to arrive and they were very true to their color as seen on the screen. They were also true to size which was good! Other then the length, neither dress will have to be altered! There was a few strings coming out of one of the waist bands on one of the dresses, but for the price ($79) I was not expecting perfect quality. We are very impressed with what we received and will definitely be ordering from here again!
Stop shopping online from them. Just shop there and order somethings. Funny, website is still up and runnING, but I think they are out of business. I order some pants, but got no sales order. Thank god I pay through PayPal cause I try to get in touch with them cause it state that I'd I order over $40, free shipping, well I got charge for it. I try to contract them and got no response, so paypal cancelled order.
I was told that I would get my refund by 28th February in an email.
1 March - still nothing. I messaged them and they confirmed that they manually initiated my refund and it will take ANOTHER 10 working days to receive it. A full month after I returned the clothes!
As an online only business, they should do better with refund. I will not order from them again.
If I could have given less than one star, I would have.
Placed an order valued at over £100 and it was delivered to the wrong address. When telling ASOS about this they told us that it is a civil problem and we will need to find the parcel ourselves.
No offer of replacements or a refund despite us mentioning that we are protected by the consumer rights act. Not that they were too bothered about that. They just kept sending the same pre-canned responses.
I have asked to speak to a manager 3 times now and they aren't even acknowledging my request.
I've been a customer of there's for years now and have spent thousands of pounds during this time. If this is how they treat loyal customers I can only imagine how they treat new customers!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE.
Horrible, horrible, horrible. Don't ever order there. They sent me the completely wrong items. When I asked for the items I ordered they said it's out of stock. So then I return the items for a refund but still not refund a month later. And now they're claiming I only returned one out of the 4 items. They're a complete scam. I've never experienced anything so terrible with any company before. Worst thing is they don't even care
I bought Christmas presents for someone in October and they delivered the wrong package. It did not have my order there, it was someone else's order. Then I request support and they tell me to ship the item I received back. It took them 2 weeks + to deliver, then it will take 2 weeks to return, 1 month to refund, and another 2 weeks to deliver new items. I will not be ordering from them anymore, not only is my money on hold for a long time, but it also has a lot of effort to get my refund and I will miss my present for Christmas. All of this because of a mistake in their end.
I ordered multiple items including a black puffer jacket for winter. Instead of sending me the jacket I ordered, they sent me the most hideous dress I've ever laid eyes on. They refused to send my jacket until they received the dress back so I decided to return my entire order on principle and delete their app. The quality of the other items in my order were very bad as well and they smelled HORRID.
Okay you guys, I've been shopping at ASOS for a few months already because their range in plus sizes is awesome. Recently one of my packages was completely destroyed due to the carelessness of USPS throwing my package over my fence for the dogs to feast on. I was having a hell of a time with my local Post Office about getting my money back... it's a whole lengthy process. I ended up contacting ASOS about the issue and even though none of damage was their fault they ended up sending me a replacement package AND refunding me what items were out of stock PLUS a coupon code. This is absolutely incredible. They are a great company and honestly you can't go wrong with them.
They might be cheap in price, but your real trouble starts when you order something which is really very good looking and only 1 or 2 piece left in stock. You pay for it, what does that mean? That means that item is reserved for you. Now their staff sends you a wrong item ( which is 90% lookalike to the one you ordered). Now the product goes out of stock on their website. So where is the one that you already paid for and should be reserved for you? Their hopeless, idiot staff dont understand English well and you ask them any question, different agents answer you all the time and no one actually knows whats going on. They are dumb. Idiots they are. Never ever buy from them. Trash they are.
Talking to their support reps to try and resolve something is as about as useful as talking to a basic chatbot.--they keep repeating the same thing without any thought process whatsoever. There is a reason why their support hide behind live chats. They can't resolve anything. They can't seem to read or understand what your are asking them either. The manager for support refuses to talk to annoyed clients and lets the support staff with comprehension issues waste the customer's (or former customer's) time
I buy from many international websites that ship to Israel. ASOS has the worst experience for international shipping to IL I have ever encountered!
If I don't use express shipping, I need to pick my package up from an old, dusty convenience store in a shady street in my city (why?).
If I order packages that exceed my local customs limit ASOS used the worst company to handle customs. The company is called GCX, they are incredibly slow! I ordered a package a week ago, paid for express shipping and was just notified the package will not arrive for another week. That's 2 weeks for "express shipping".
In addition, on top of the customs fees (which I am more than prepared to pay), GCX charges a handling fee of 12.5 GBP! No other company does that!
I paid a total of 22.5 GBP just to get the package over to me with extremely delayed shipping.
BAD BAD experience by all means.
PS - contacted ASOS about this many times but they won't take any responsibility.
Dont order from them. I made my FIRST ever clothes shopping from them. Sizes are mixed up as clothes are diferent brands.
I send clothe back in there original packaging. And Asos reused to make refound.! Contact them lots of time thru chat but they refuse to give any answer
Its a fraud. As now i have to clothe and no money. £450 they still from me
Order No.: *******
The customer service at ASOS is terrible. They failed to deliver my package and I even have a text message to prove it. When I contacted customer service I waited to be connected and spoke to the completely incompetent service representative. That representative had me answer a lot of questions about the package and then assured me that they would look for the package and get back to me with a refund or replacement within a few days. They never got back to me and when I logged on to customer service again I had to repeat the entire conversation. In the end, I was told that I would not be able to get a refund or replacement because it had been more than 30 days. This time limit only existed once ASOS had failed to get back to me. Don't shop here. They are incompetent thieves.
Answer: Hello Em, Yes it is true. The site has very poor delivery and customer service. I do not recommend it.
Answer: Doubt it, I don't think they sell any knock off's. Depending on the print you got, some of them don't have stripes. Hope that helps.
Answer: No. They will find 101 reasons to screw you out of your money
Answer: No. If anything it has gottten worse.
Answer: Look, as I wrote here I shopped with them many times and I was never disappointed. I don't know where you buy from, but I live in Italy and it doesn't take more than 4-5 working days for them to deliver the package. If you're concerned about the quality, well, it's not really top-notch, but considering the price it's really good (you can't expect Max Mara quality from a shirt you paid 20 euros). As for the fit be careful because those are UK sizes and they are definitely NOT vanity sizing! Meaning: when you read "model pictured wears UK 8" you may think "they're lying, she's clearly a 6" but they're actually not in most cases. I have a body similar to that of most of their models, I ordered size 6 twice and it was a tiny bit small. So size accordingly. All in all I trust them and I like their product. Perfect low-cost site to shop from online.
Answer: Complain about Asos through the Retail Ombudsman, if more people complain about companies like Asos they will have no choice but to improve their service to their customers.
Answer: Your only option with asos is live chat. I used it just now and also a few days ago and it worked just fine. They solved all my issues. Chat is the only way to contact.
Answer: You have to be a careful shopper. Check the fabric content! I just purchased Is 4 pairs of cargo pants. Same style, different colors. They are 100% cotton and excellent quality. I also purchased things by topshop and free people on this site. Asos has its own brand but sells others. Returns are effortless so I don't know why so many people are complaining. I have very high standards and they haven't let me down yet.
