I was skeptical to try Prime but it has been the best. Items I usually have to go to the store and buy taking time and using gas can be delivered to my door, usually less than the price I would have paid. I really enjoy the free movies and music as well. I will definitely keep my prime membership.
I spent over $400 on a product that is a pos. The seller refunded me $36 and Amazon would not do anything about it. I have been a prime member since it became available and with my whole family shopping spent a lot of money on Amazon and they would not even give me a credit.
There is abolutely nothing you can't find on Amazon. Over many years, I've had very few bad experiences, but they were always with individual companies and not Amazon... yet it was always Amazon that made things right!
Working 12 hour days makes traditional shopping all but impossible for me, but I never worry that I can't get what I need if I just head to Amazon. And being a Prime member makes it so much faster! Often, I'll recieve packages the very next day! Can't say enough about this wonderful site.
I have been getting my packages late recently and I was fine with that given the challenges of the Covid-19 issue.
However, I just ordered a "Prime" eligible item and was told to expect delivery in 6 days! It used to be, they told you the usual one to two day turnaround and, they did their best to meet that. So, why is it now 6 days?
I went back through the order process and found a new thing called "Prime Preferred Delivery Day" which had been filled in, without anyone notifying me" with Monday being my preferred day.
Without one to two day delivery the whole "Prime" thing is useless to me.
Today I had to deal with a customer service representative and a supervisor who never heard of their own Clip coupon function. The supervisor refused to make any attempts to solve the problem (the coupon wasn't going through at checkout) and kept responding with irrelevant scripts. In addition to that I received no request for feedback like I used to, which shows how much the company cares (plenty of options for feedback on products and third party sellers, but not their own service). This is just another symptom in the long list of bad changes at Amazon: no more free returns pick up, charity donations canceled, massive layoffs (presumably of the competent agents), abandoning their headquarters, and all this despite increased fees.
Scam artists, constantly trying to trick regular customers into signing up with a 'free trial' and the option for opting out only in small print, so they will sign up perhaps without even realising, forget to cancel it and end up paying absurd prices every month for rubbish services.
For example, trying to navigate the on demand service and it takes ages to load anything for a start, I find the film I want and Amazon says 'you own it', great! Except that was a lie to trick me into downloading the Disney plus app, which then tried to trick me (in the small print) into signing up at an additional 5.99 per month! Cheeky, dishonest, money-grubbing scum, both Amazon and Disney. Avoid at all costs. Sky aren't perfect either but are a lot more up front and honest than these renegades, and the service actually works smoothly and doesnt rely on rip-off third party apps.
I live in Hawaii, and so am not eligible for the 2 day free shipping. That being said, it takes Amazon at least 4-7 days for my order to even be shipped. I'd be happy at this point if they could manage to get the package in the mail in 2 days. I can get free shipping on orders more than $35, which mine always are, so Prime is no advantage there. I find very little of interes to watch on AmazonPrime compared toNetflix or Hulu - a lot of - they have a lot old and obscure programs. Available books and music also tend to be obscure or indie selections, not current or popular ones.
I received an email from Amazon stating that I could take advantage of a 30-day free trial and not be charged until 30 days unless I canceled. However they charged my account the same day my trial started. I called customer service to fix the situation. They just refunded my money and take two to five business days. But I didn't get to take advantage of the 30-day free trial as advertised. So be very careful of the emails you get from Amazon letting you know about a 30-day trial membership. I think it's fraudulent for them to do that.
I can find nearly everything I need on Amazon and with the Prime membership, I never pay shipping. I purchase all my Christmas gifts and wrap them as they are delivered. Saves me aggravation of trying to find what I am looking for and even large items are delivered to my front door with FREE shipping. This is such a handy service I am now buying all my paper towels, toilet paper and tissues through the service. The paper products are on automatic ship, so I am never out plus if I need to changed shipping date I can. What is not to love?
YES YES and of course, YES.
AmazonPrime makes it so easy and convenient. I don't have to fret that I was so last-minute about something, but I can rely on amazon. In two days, I have my item on my doorstep. Prices- check. Shipping- check. Quality- check. What else does it need to be perfect?
This is not the first time this has happened, I am a faithful Prime customer but it seems that too often the website will tell me one delivery date when I order then immediately change it after I pay to one that's three or four days away. It's not that I need it immediately but if I am paying for a service then I expect it. Prime account cancelled.
Cannot verify phone number on my account! Had to change my phone number because of multiple phishing and robocalls. Called Amazon to attempt to give them my correct number... was told this number belonged to an old customer and that there is/was no way of taking their name off my account! Absolutely amazing that a company of this size cannot have their software programmed into one that protects their customers. First, with Amazon, you were forced to use their own bank (Synchrony) and they would not allow payments from Paypal, now they cannot remove someone from your account that should have never been there in the first place. Hopefully, nothing will come from this yet with the world today I hope they are insured! Protect who is on your account!
Love the merchandise but the shipping is tricky. It's hard to find exactly when the products are coming. I love the next day shipping but not everything does. Some of it takes weeks. I wish it were easier to see how long it will take to get stuff
For the price, I've been practically refunded 100% of my subscription fee by foregoing the free 2 day shipping and selecting no-rush shipping. Then I've chosen about $100 worth of digital content and paid with the credits. With the Amazon Flash deals, I've saved a ton of money. Definitely worth the money!
If you go with Amazon Prime Annual Membership for $119.00 for the year v/s paying $12.99 per month, just know YOU WILL NOT BE REFUNDED or pro rated money back if you decide to cancel it, even a few weeks in... They keep you on the hook until your membership comes up for renewal.
If you use the Amazon Chase Credit Card for your purchases, and return items- your money is not going back to your card balance. Instead, it goes towards an Amazon "Gift Card" that can NOT be used to pay off the Chase balance, or anything else outside of Amazon. I'm appalled at this business practice. It's like some thrift store that can't afford to refund your money so they only give you in store credit.
I feel bamboozled and I'd like to keep you from making my mistakes
Amazon prime has been great to have they ship things free of charge. This has been so helpful when doing Christmas shopping as well as things that stores are not selling. It is a little upsetting when they do not have something but that is only because we think they will always have it. Sometimes its a little hard to return things but otherwise they are awesome
My main complaint -when ordering the page will say "Delivery tomorrow if ordered in x amount of time" or on the payment page it will say delivery tomorrow but 9 time out of 10 when you get the confirmation it is 2 or 3 days.
I have been a prime member for years and years now and I realize Amazon has a lot of shoppers and prime members but their customer service is not up to the task. And quite frankly they need to bring back the email contact, the chat is ridiculous. My concern is, I pay for my prime, so why do I have to wait 15 days for my purchase to ship, 15 days this is happened again and again to me it's not a one off. I ordered something from eBay that I could've gotten from Amazon and I live in Alaska. I got it in three days…Can you imagine three days and free shipping and I don't even have to pay a membership fee. Wow Amazon wake up hire some more people, I could be doing more shopping on eBay now!
With Amazon prime you know what you are getting. They have a wide range of shows from classics to new shows. They let you know if you have to pay for something not in your plan. No bad surprises here.
I subscribe to amazon prime due to the benefits of a plethora of items I could order and the efficiency of home delivery. However...what I have been receiving is everything BUT that! I have ordered things only to have the delivery date and or time change moments before their expected arrival (stated delivery time). This causes me much inconvenience as I have been forced to go buy these items at a retail store due to them not arriving as expected (on time) and me needing them. The cost for this subscription is NOT worth it!
Answer: Probably because Amazon Prime would rather be straight forward with their customers and ensure they get their customers' questions answered to the absolute best of their ability to avoid any sort of confusion using chatbots, and/or a most likely VERY busy email address that very few people probably have access to via their site. I have actually never heard nor seen anybody complain about authenticity, or live chat, or phone call where you can get your question or questions answered much faster, vs. waiting for and possibly potentially even missing their reply email because you would have to be sitting around waiting on an email reply, for however long that'd take. Trust me, if you really want your question(s) answered, this would by far be the best option. There is even an app and/or extension you can use called "Amazon Assistant" That feature normally gets any and all issues solved, and FAST! I hope this helps! :)
Answer: Click on the left-hand corner, then go to books and audible, then to prime reading. There is a selection of books that can be read for free
