I am from America, and moved to Canada. Pretty bummed, because in the US, when you order a prime 2 day shipping, it ACTUALLY delivers in 2 days. Amazon Canada sucks and hardly ever delivers when it says that it will. Furthermore, tracking from amazon Canada sucks as well. There's like 15 different options for tracking, but none of them work with the Tracking ID that they *eventually* update your order with. Do not trust Amazon Canada tracking, they will let you down.

Also, I paid for 6 day shipping for an item 9 days ago, and it still has not even shipped. Get your stuff together, Amazon Canada, and start working like the American Version; you can be better than this.

Lousy customer service
September 6, 2019

I was assured by Amazon Customer Service, 4 TIMES, that they would not use Intelcom courier service for my parcels. Well guess what? Yes they did. 5 TIMES after I called. The last customer service rep admitted they had lied to me as they have no control over the courier service! So another parcel does not get delivered to me!
I have cancelled my Prime membership and will not shop with them again. Shame on me for trusting and believing them.

I had a problem with a $100 gift card, I'm a prime and more than regular customer of Amazon.ca as I order at least 4/5 items a week... They never seemed to be able to help me, chat support is in India and they don't care the less, trying to finish the conversation and pass to the next... I went to escalation, it's email only and they wrote me only one time to have the proofs; I sent them and never heard back from them... basically meaning I have to sit on my $100 cash money... Disgusting and dishonnest practice...

Bad experience lately
December 26, 2021

For many years I have been buying goods on Amazon and everything was fine. The experience of recent months has been very bad. The reason is other sellers on Amazon ça. The product is not accurately described, you have to pay for the return ( shipping) and received a letter from Fedex for an additional payment to pay customs duties. I decided to close my account and no longer use Amazon Canada

I bought furnace filters though amazon for total of 108.47 Canadian dollars and two days later bought the same furnace filters directly from the same seller's website for total of 84.75, it's a difference of 23.72! So amazon made 23.72 (or cheated me) from one item, and I have been using amazon.ca for years. I have called them 4 times, they didn't do nothing. Basically AtoZ guarantee means nothing.
I realized I should delete my amazon account.

Awful Customer Service

I wish there was an option for zero stars. I needed help resetting my Audible account and the first person I spoke with did absolutely nothing. The second person suggested to try with all my potential accounts.

Terrible service

Called to ask why I am inundated with commercials between every episode of every series I watch, when this is suppose to be commercial free. Furthermore, I am a senior, and the content of the shows advertised are meant for teenagers, not ever would I consider watching any of them. When I called to ask why, I was told that it had to go to upper management, but of course, I was told that they could not be reached, and then, I was hung up on! I have spent a lot of money on Amazon, with purchases, and with streaming services. Absolutely terrible company.

I've never had a problem with this site, but I generally find that amazon.com has a better selection of the books I want, and amazon.com carries many more items than are available at amazon.ca. If I can find the item I want at amazon.ca and I can get a good shipping rate than I always order from here, but that is seldom the case unfortunately.

Laughable Site

Like most things dot CA they pale in comparison to effective, efficient and well oiled sites like a dot COM. Canada produces passive laziness everywhere and Amazon.ca exemplifies that to the fullest. Tell me how a Prime Membership results in receiving products in 7 days MINIMUM time? Useless lazy Canadian policies.

These lamps have been great. Stores do not sell the cool white 4000K or better only the warm (yellow) ones. So I tried on line. Other ones flickered and died in the first week. These have been great with the dimmer switch.

Convenient Shopping

I have been an Amazon member since 2009 and enjoy the shopping convenience from home and their decent guarantee. What I don't like is their delay in shipping when you find a smokin deal. It does not happen all the time but I find approx. 50% of the time when I have found a really great deal I can wait weeks to months to receive the item. Sometimes the item never comes and you have to request a refund. I have put in multiple claims (all of which have been reimbursed) for items that never arrived. Is it just me or have others had similar issues?

I agree with the previous customer 200 %, I will never shop on Amazon.ca again and would never recommend anyone to shop at their website either. Very unreliable and not helpful at all to solve the problem, their A to Z guarantee is not for the consumer. I cancelled an order placed by accident and contacted amazon.ca customer services and they couldn't solve the problem. I ended up receiving the product at a higher cost + handling charges. Very frustrating, awful experience with amazon.ca while other websites such as Well.ca is very consumer oriented and helpful in solving the issues not like amazon.ca. Denied my claim. I will no longer shop at amazon. Ca and will not recommend anyone either!

I ordered on May 14 and saw a delivery date by May 25. When I got the receipt it said delivery by Nov 26. Can you imagine Nov 26. Then on May 20 I get a message that it was shipped and got a Canada Post tracking. It is now May 26 and when I track Canada Post message is that the client made a electronic ticket but the post office hasn't received the package yet -6 days later. They have also put the charge to my credit card. I can't get in touch with them and am really dissatisfied

My husband and my account is blocked, after phone calls and submitting all the documents needed nothing is working and no one can help us sort it out. I can't even mail the account specialist to find out what they need. Customer service on the phone can't assist with anything and they can't direct me to the account specialist. How does that work?!

I purchased 2 Amazon gift cards from Shoppers Drug mart this afternoon. The $50.00 one was fine, the $100. Card the code used by the casheir did not natch the card inside. Shoppers says they can do nothing with it, to contact Amazon. The guy at Amazon as much as said to bad, so sad, and I'm out $100.

I had ordered a work table a week before I actually needed it and Amazon showed that the delivery will be done 2 days after the order placement. It was really urgent for me and I needed it on a specific date, so I placed the order after carefully checking the delivery date but on the date of actual delivery, when I checked the status of my order, it said "undeliverable", that Amazon has cancelled it and will issue refund within 3-5 business days. This shows irresponsibility, unreliability and not being trust worthy on part of Amazon. It was very easy to write a "sorry for the inconvenience" but I know as a customer how much inconvenience it caused. I will not only have to leave all my work aside to rush to buy the table but also double my money will be stuck. Its okay with me for now but not everyone has that much budget. I will never ever trust Amazon for any of my important deliveries. I would rather go to some local shop and buy it.

Delivered package to the wrong address. Courier provided a photo of my package in front of a door somewhere in my (large) apartment building (conveniently shooting the photo beneath where it displays my unit number on my door). When I open my apartment door (not one minute after receiving the delivery notification) - no package. Contacted support immediately who apparently had no way of contacting the Amazon courier who was currently in my building and preferred to refund me (3-5 business days) and have me re-order the same items (1-2 days). They would prefer to cover the cost of my whole order and make me wait 9 days total to receive the items than just give the courier a 10-second call while he's literally in my building.

Placed an order for 1 day shipping as prime member and got on 4th day is not contradictory to amazon 1 day shipping policy for prime members?.further a customer service agent offers late shipment compensation and another one denies it in your next call and asks to return the product including the supervisor,very disapointing very careless customer service,bringing down the once exceptional customer service of amazon to zero.

I have been using Amazon Canada now for about one year. I find that the prices are so reasonable, and the quality of products excellent. I have purchased numerous items and have delighted with all of them. Customer service when I did have one problem was excellent and the problem was resolved with one phone call to them. I have looked at other web sites but have never been as confident to purchase items as I do from Amazon. I will continue to be a loyal shopper on their web site.

I buy almost everything on there and I like the fact we never have to pay for returns. They ship fast, you have to do your homeworks and read the critics for the product you want but the chances of getting a good quality value is outstanding. I totally recommend but one has to do his homeworks to read reviews and buy from a source who sold many items like the one you're looking for.
