I wish Abercrombie could get their customer service figured out but I have had so many horrible experiences related to returns that I have officially reached my limit as a customer and won't be buying from this brand again.
If you do happen to make a purchase and try to return online make sure you return immediately (I received my order on March 13th and mailed back two items that didn't fit on March 15th and they tried to tell me I missed the refund window). They will do nearly everything in their power to just not give you a refund and if you don't follow up you will likely never see any kind of refund. If you DO follow up they will work pretty hard to make you take a gift card instead of following their own return policy.
It took me three different conversations with customer service and multiple emails to finally receive my refund a month late with absolutely no effort to make up for the large error they made by not issuing my refund on time. I also have multiple friends I have spoken with who have had these exact same issues related to the company not following their own refund policy.
What a waste of time trying to place order online. We have tried to purchase A&F many time and we could never get confirmation on our orders. The reply is generic and useless. We have decided to no buy anything from A&F or Hollister again. Only other brands from now on.
Ordered online need to return return 1 item back, website stated there is a shipping cost when using their courier so I send it with a cheaper courier turns out the location of the return address is a warehouse (deliver anything there would need to pay for the warehouse fee which is even more expensive than the product). So I get the package back and talk to A&F staff (online chat)
First staff said will wave the fee
Second staff said the first staff I spoke with will wave a "return fee" but still have to pay for the "courier fee"which there is no such thing as return fee on website.
They only have 1 retail store in the entire city.
They should know if pick other courier to send the package back will have an expensive warehouse fee and didn't even put this info on website. I am sure a lot of people could come across the same situation.
They just canceled my order without any reason. No notifications, no explanations, no apologies. That supposed to be a gift for my girlfriend. But after waiting for shipping during the whole week I learned the order is cancel. Customer service is horrible. Never will buy again at Abercrombie.com
I am getting older, and have been shopping here all my life. While a lot of their stuff is getting tired and old, I still love their jeans. They are not nearly as expensive now, and are great quality.
I wanted to get my daughter some of their shirts back when they were "in style" for her age. (she's now 25) From what I remember, I got my order pretty quick and she loved the shirts and they lasted pretty long.
I brought a lot of cloths from their store when i was travelling in US, the next day I found they have much better price offered online, so i ordered online and returned everything to their store. After that, my order just disappeared and I couldnt able to find anything on my account, so I called and emailed them. They told me they suspected I am a reseller so they cancelled my order. I was very mad because 1/they have no evidence at all for claimed me "reseller", that was my first order ever placed with them online, 2/fine, if you cancelled my order, its a customer services to inform me instead of letting me keep calling and tracking my unexisting order. Well, after they did this to me, I found out they charged me from my credit card! Wow, this is exactly like a thief, you dont sell me products but you took my money! What kind of company is that?
I am fond of their casual jackets for hiking. They are made very robust which is the main thing for me when I go hiking and camping. The last thing you want is your clothes to be of a poor quality.
Don't understand why people are complaining about the quality! Seriously? That's their best asset, along with classic pieces that every guy should have in their closet. If I am a returning customer (and I am very picky), you should be too. Unless you don't like models they are selling. But then again - you shouldn't be buying something you don't like in the first place.
I was unable to make my return as early as I usually do because I was in quarantine because I was sick with covid. They processed my return one day past the allowed date. I shop there all the time and never returned anything late. I contacted customer service three times but they would still not credit my credit card. I was unable to leave my house to make this return and am being penalized by Abercrombie and Fitch after making them aware of my situation. I will never shop there again. They lost a many times over customer.
Abercrombie is a well liked store by people of all ages, but my opinion might be a little different...
Though the quality of clothing from Abercrombie is quite good, it's not enough to win me over.
When it comes to Abercrombie, I feel like the jeans are just regular jeans being sold at very high prices.
The same goes for the t-shirts, as well as the hoodies and sweatshirts.
My advice? Save your money and buy from stores that don't overprice their clothing.
I hope this review was helpful!
I just love their design and fittings. I have been using one of their T's and believe me it still fits me perfectly even after a long time use. I always go for Abercrombie as it's my favourite and afforable brand.
Bought a shirt from the Singapore store, flew it back home and it developed 2 small holes, albeit reparable with some thrifting. Ironed it and suddenly there was a massive non-reparable hole. Didn't even wear it once. Waste of money. Found out about all its controversy and racial discrimination lawsuit after so it's about time this store needs to shut down and gtfo anyway.
I love abercrombie. Ordering is easy, and the return is also so easy. I never had any problem with them. I have to admit there were several items that I bought on sale, then when I got it, it did not fit well. But, the return is so easy, that I have to give them 5 stars.
Customer service is also very helpful. The only thing is I learned to go to the store first and see what I like before ordering it online to avoid disappointment. Abercrombie employees, both online and in-store, are always very helpful. Shipping is also very reliable.
In my opinion if somebody is looking for quality in clothing then better go some place else. The quality of clothing at this place, in my view, is beyond poor. But if you just like designer clothes doesn't matter if they are made out of paper or cardboard then this might be the place.
Ill admit I don't shop here often. The reason why, every time I order there products the sizes are completely different across each item. The exception to this rule seems to be the majority of there jeans which I do purchase. Quality has recently ( the past 3 years) dived. I still have a hoodie from 6 years ago that feels and looks great today. I have another 8 hoodies since then that have fallen apart. While this not be true across every hoodie, 8/9 is a pretty stellar sign. I think the branding of there items has eclipsed the dedication to quality that they used to stand for.
I have quit shopping there in the past year.
I cannot dispute the fact that they sell quality items. However, recently I tried purchasing something with a gift card I won at work. It clearly said order confirmed and even gave me an order number and an expected delivery date. …only to find out later the gift card was declined when I tried to find out why my order wasn't delivered. They sent me a screenshot of the first 6 digits and the last 4 which doesn't help because when I call American Express they also need the serial number (which I don't have). Obviously if I never got that confirmation, I wouldn't have thrown the card out. This was clearly a glitch in their system and an error on their part but they refuse to take responsibility and is telling me I can't even get a gift card from their company since my order did not go through. I even showed them emails that it did say confirm. I called and spoke to so many individuals but no one seem to care. I don't think this company remembers that it's the customers that make the business. The funny thing is, I had just bought something a week ago and loved it so much I tried to get it twice. That will be last order with this company.
I can't say enough about how comfy and well-made the clothes are. I'm tall and thin (5'9 and 130) and they're the only place who's body-suits and jumpers are long enough through the torso when I buy a small. Plus, the one time someone stole my hoodie I'd ordered off my porch they refunded the money to me bc they were out of that color and couldn't replace it. I thought that was very nice of them!
I love everything I get from Abecromby.com the sizes are almost always true. The cotton is soft and I love getting my basics from Abercrombie, sweats, t shirts and dresses. Winter coats spring coats and more. These 2 jackets I actually bought on sale and I love the color, material and stitching
I am working woman and as working woman I do not have much time for shopping. Because my kind of work need more time. I just do online shop at Abercrombie. They are best in their unique designs and quality is also best.
