About Me

I am a internet professional working in project management, mostly relating to logisitcs. I am an avid runner, and hold the Tarahumara in awe. I envy every facet of their lives, however my MacBook and Kindle keep me from living the dream.

This is another diamond in the rough. The are literally hundreds of thousands of eyeglasses / sunglasses here. As an avid runner, I like to have a couple different pair of running shades, and some days I just don't feel like putting in my contacts for the morning run.

I bought some Adidas with the prescription inserts from smartbuyglasses. I also purchased some clear transition Rudy Projects, so that I can start running at sunset with the sun in my eyes, and as I come back through the rain in the evening as the storm roles in from the coast, i don't have to squint through the rain and I can still see once twilight is long gone.

Great service as well, had all my questions about the Adidas insert that I needed. Have been running in sunglasses from these guys for over a year, and I couldn't be more satisfied.

  • 8tracks Radio

8tracks has to be the best social experience I have ever had. At first I began by sampling my brother's mixes, then branched out.

I have stumbled on genres I was previously oblivious to, found amateur DJs that have the taste to pique my pallet, raise my hair, and make my ears cry for joy.

8tracks has proven to do more for broadening my music horizons than all the other internet radio sites combined. It has made every day a search for the perfect sound track for my life, and on most days I have succeeded. Truly a great bit of code, and a true accomplishment. Keep up the innovation and forethought.

  • Grooveshark

Grooveshark is the sweet sweet light at the end of my work day tunnel, it serves me up the tunes that bring me peace and joy amide the turmoil of the office.

And then it comes, like right hook, a new song graciously plucked out of the depths of anonymity, perfectly tailored to my tastes, my favorite song that sings to me, which I was ignorantly oblivious to.

Yes, grooveshark has turned me into a true music aficionado, when before I was a mere pretender. Thank you grooveshark, and keep your teeth strong.

I am happy that my experience was a bit better than those that have posted below. I ordered a reproduction and I was able to receive it in just over a month. This was an acceptable period of time for the quality provided. Looks great on my wall!

Recently purchase my kindle, and after the hype I was sure ready to feel the let down. Turns out it never came.

With the population of the vast majority of books I would like to read in the next 10 years, the kindle has opened a whole new world to me. I read treasure island last week, just while on the metro. Truly superb.

I am also 100% in love with the product suggestions as they are bang on and are the reason I read the hunger games. I have now fully converted to the e-reader (other than text books) and do not think that I will be going back any time soon. (perhaps for the beach I can make an exception, seems the kindle may be a bit fearful of the sand.)

Thank you for protecting my online information, and thank you for android!

  • Garmin

The garmin forerunner is the best piece of running gear that I have every owned. It is truly fantastic, and I would never go running again without one.

  • New Balance

The best shoes for support for people with wide feet. I would never go running with out a pair, they have saved my feet from the torture of narrow addidas and nike.

Good site, however would be nice to make it international for those of us who travel abroad regularly.

The news offered by MSN has been getting better with time, this is a decent portal

  • eBay

For the most part I enjoy purchasing on eBay, however I am a bit perturbed at the number of times i have purchased a product only for it to not be shipped from the US (China and India have both happened) when I purposely bought from a US seller.

  • Pandora

8/23/11

Pandora, oh how I used to love you so. This was the first internet radio that I had used that would tailor itself to ME. Loved it.

However, now I find that I am draw to simliar websites that are better at predicting what I want (Grooveshark), or are better at letting other people expose me to new music (8tracks.com).

Also, pandora does not work abroad, and I am a frequent traveler (are we now also exluding the amazing music that comes from countries that pandora blocks?)

Looking for a bit more, some evolution please! Also, why not a desktop based service, so if my browser crashes, I don't need to restart the service?

  • Yahoo

Please Yahoo. We do not need internet gateways anymore, please figure out what it is that you do. Please provide me some reason to come back to the behemoth that first guided me in footie pajamas through the scary forest that was the internet of the early 90's.

I love the old comercials, I loved many things in the past, yet I find no added value in using your gateway rather than typing out the full URL of the exact product or service I am looking for.

Please, some innovation, a core-competency, anything. It astounds me that you are still a major player. Learn from AOL, they have developed a superb radio offering, (if visually unappealing).

Yahoo, please come back to us. Until then, I have no choice. One star...

  • Twitter

Twitter, you need to really keep up with the Jones's. Weibo, the Chinese twitter, now allows for eCommerce WITHIN the post. How did you let this pass you by? How did you let a chance at monitization pass and not even chase after.

Weibo, please come to English and dominate twitter.
