Beautiful photos of beautiful women in natural poses and settings. Beautiful.
This site attempts to crowd source the tabloids by showing where celebrities have been spotted most recently. Based on the growth of sites like TMZ and the popularity of magazines like USWeekly, there is clearly strong consumer demand for such a service. While the site is still in the early days, as more people contribute to the site, the information will become more accurate and timely, making the site highly relevant to interested users.
If celebrity stalking is a hobby of yours, this site is for you!
Registering to vote is so important to our democracy. I don't understand how anybody could not love a site that enables you to register to vote. I vote in every election and the gubernatorial election is so important to the future of California that it is critical that you vote. In order for you to vote, you need to register first.
I think that the other people that reviewed the site don't fully understand the model and are giving the site a bad rap. While this seems like just another penny auction site (but for travel), the reality is that consumers that do not win the auction have the option to reuse their spent bids. In the Offandaway model, lost bids are translated to credits that users can use to select from a broader range of hotel rooms at standard Internet rates. This means that if you are going to New York City, you can take a swing to try and stay at a 5 star hotel; if that doesn't work out, you can reuse that credit through Offandaway to find the hotel room that you would have stayed in anyway... you don't lose any money. By giving you this opportunity to trade up, Offandaway gets the benefit of an affiliate fee for the hotel room you do book (or the unspent credit if you choose not to book). Every consumer can be a winner on this site... you just need to understand the rules before you begin to use the site.
Anything I want to listen is instantly at my fingertips. This is better than Pandora... it has every song I can think of and I can choose the order in which I listen to it. Not sure why the RIAA hasn't cracked down on this site yet, but I'm going to take advantage of this for as long as I can.
Gmail is the best webmail client out there. Finally, my inbox is organized thanks to threaded messages. The search is quick and works well (figures) and I'm able to track conversations much more easily than I ever have been able to before. Highly recommended!
This seat is perfect for the traveler that wants to make sure that he doesn't get a horrible seat on the plane. Not only does it give you plane layouts, but it tells you where electric outlets are and which seats are good/bad. I've found this site through google a number of times... now it will be the first place I go when I am planning a flight. Awesome!
So funny and I love having them in my Facebook feed... it makes me laugh every time. Everybody should go to this site.
Pandora keeps on getting better every day. I'm not sure whether or not the musicologists that categorize Pandora's music have been working overtime lately, but something about the site has changed over the past six months. The stations that they create are fantastic. Pandora gets me through my workday.
Great for a Guy on the Go! - They will read blog posts to you. This is exactly what I've been waiting for.
Get back in touch with old friends - I'm now in touch with a bunch of friends from elementary school... all of this is thanks to Facebook! Thanks, Facebook!
Finally, a news site that provides in depth analysis - Their pieces are much more thoughtful than most of what you read on politics and the election.
Very Useful - I find all sorts of interesting video sites using sitejabber. The site's users must be online video connoisseurs because they know which sites are the best. Thanks, sitejabber!
One of the more thoughtful blogs written by a VC - This is the Lightspeed Venture Partners blog. Every post that I've read has been written by Jeremy Liew, one of the partners at the firm. It does not promote the firm's various portfolio companies, but instead attempts to provide some thought leadership around financing, hiring, different consumer internet business models and product development -- three of the core issues facing any new entrepreneur. This blog is a useful resource for any entrepreneur. I definitely recommend it.
Cool new music - Go to this site, click on a name and you're instantly listening to a mix that somebody else put together. A great way to discover new music. They even make it easy to buy the song from Amazon.
Symptom Search - Very easy to use and filters diagnoses based on age and gender.
Arrington has his finger on the pulse of silicon valley - Techcrunch is a blog written mostly by Michael Arrington. I'm not sure what his background is, but over the past couple of years he has turned Techcrunch into a great way to get information on all the new companies started out in Silicon Valley. He provides great overviews on what they do and also on large technology advancements, like Microsoft's announcement of SilverLight yesterday. The blog is updated multiple times a day and has a huge reader base.
It seems like it has a lot of very useful information. However, it is all behind a registration wall and users are forced to enter their credit card for a "free trial". I have no desire to add another monthly subscription that I never use to my monthly expenses. Very disappointing.
This site is terrible. I was booked through them without my knowledge by Kayak. When I contacted Vayama to change my flight due to some unforeseen circumstances, they refused to help. Luckily, I was able to call the airline directly to make the change. Stay away from Vayama... they are more trouble than they're worth.
