I've only recently been introduced to this site, but I really love it. Although mostly based in New York, I find the articles to be interesting, and many articles are very informative and not bound by state borders. I've heard rumors of them launching a San Francisco based seriouseats.com, but have yet to find it. For now, I will content myself with their San Francisco based contributor, so there are still Bay Area influenced articles. In general, most of their articles are quite interesting, and it's good to know what's going on with our East Coast counter-parts (although I think we're a bit more advanced in the food revolution here). Like many of these informational websites, it creates a lot of talk and opens a forum. What I like about this over other forum based websites, is that the initial article that is introduced is done by someone who's actually established in the food industry, and they often respond to comments made. Many other forum web-sites are driven by user content and can be littered with ignorant comments with no one to filter them, but possibly other ignorant people!

Very user-friendly and easy to navigate. It doesn't tell you how easy or difficult a recipe is, but it is user rated, which can be just as helpful, if not more. Often times, users will leave comments about recipes, and how they might have tweaked it to make it better and what works or doesn't work. For example, you'll find a common problem that people found with the recipe, and how different users dealt with that problem. Foodnetwork.com also has user ratings and reviews, but the benefit with Yahoo, is that you just scroll to the bottom of the recipe. With foodnetwork.com, although not a big deal, you have to click on the link and another window pops up.

I love this website! It's such a great concept and i look forward to seeing what the daily deal is everyday. Basically you sign up for it (real fast and easy) and then they send you a special deal everyday. It's essentially a coupon that you can purchase, but is only activated when enough people purchase the coupon, hence 'groupon.' if not enough people purchase the coupon, then your card is not charged. If the deal is on, then you receive a link the next day and you can print out the groupon, or it's also in your account, ready to be printed out anytime. The coupons range in all sorts of things from fitness, restaurant deals, to activities and tours around the city. The discount is usually pretty big too, often more then 50% off. You can also purchase more than one groupon if you like, although you can usually only use one at a time/per person. But, for example, if it's a restaurant you frequent, you may want to buy more than one and use it on different visits. Double check the expiration date, it's usually good for about a year, but they vary depending on each deal.

This site is fantastic. It has just about every popular tv show out there and is great for when you miss your show or forgot to tivo it. The only thing that has been disappointing, is that when i was abroad i couldn't use it. Apparently you have to be in the united states to us it right now, i think though that there's an option that you can say where you are that you're trying to access it and maybe they will try to expand into those countries as they get more hits from them... keep your fingers crossed!

Seems cool, haven't actually tried it... - so, i read about this website and checked it out. I know they have other sites like this too, like waiters on call, but they tell you to expect a delivery time of over an hour. So pretty much you have to order when you're not even hungry yet. And then the delivery charge just makes it so expensive, it's not worth it.

This seems cool cause it gives you an estimate delivery time, which all seem pretty reasonable, and it looks like you're just ordering from the restaurant but online, so there might not be an additional upcharge for delivery. Plus, you can pay online with a credit card, so they just drop your food and go. And finally, the user interface seems much better than that for waiters on wheels or waiter.com. I'll try to update this review if/when i use it.

Free Money for Reservations - I love this website. It's easy to use and you pretty much get credit for making a reservation you would've done anyways. You can either search for a specific restaurant or you can just od a search for restaurants that have availability at a certain time. It'll list your reservation if available but also the next available one before and after your requested time, but to a 2 hour window. You can also search by neighborhood and typs of cuisine. Once you make a reservation you earn 100 points and in some cases 1000 points. As you earn points you can redeem them for credit that's good at any opentable restaurant! FYI, sometimes though, a restaurant will book up online and so you should try to call to make a reservation.

My Recipe Box - I really love this website. It's got great recipes that also list it's ratings, which Food Network chef created it, level of difficulty and nutitional value breakdown. Plus, most recipes also have pics. Easy to navigate and like most cooking websites, you can also search for recipes based on main ingredient or cooking techniques. Also, if you watch Food Network like me, you can watch the dish being made on TV and follown the basic technique and then get the recipe online, you're not scrambling to write it down or memorize it at that moment.

Affordable vacation rentals - I've used this site a couple times now and have always been happy. They have rentals all over the country, but I've only used it for the Santa Cruz and Tahoe area. I've always been able to find a rental within my price range and the houses have always been REALLY nice for the price. Usually you just have to pick up the keys from a management property office or they'll leave it somewhere for you. Overall, really easy to use with lots of options. Pssst... we usually cram a lot more people in the house than the capacity, which also helps with the price.

Like your personal book club - I really like this site. It's been a great way to see what my friend's are reading and get some insight into a book before I purchase it. So far, it's helped me make smarter purchase choices, and I haven't regretted the books I've bought after reading the reviews on goodreads. Plus, you can add friends and read their reviews, so if you trust their taste, it helps you out too. You can also search for reviews of books that you may be considering, or search by genre.

Perfect for every shoe whore - i love this website! It''s so easy to shop for shoes here. You can narrow it down by size and color and style of shoe, or you can just browse around in general if you're not looking for anything specific. The best thing though is that returning stuff is free! So, i usually will get something in a few sizes, figure out if i like the shoe and which one fits best and return all the rest. It's been great though for browsing to find the perfect shoe when i know the style and color i want, and they have a wide range of prices, so you're bound to find a pair for the right price too!
