Ordered candles a month later they had not arrived. Went on the website but you cannot contact them by email so you have to call. After being on hold for an hour and a half I was told only one of the 8 candles I had ordered was still available. They offered to substitute random other candles--yeah that's what a customer want random smells. Awesome solution Yankee. Then I got to hold some more while I waited for a supervisor. Just fabulous customer service! Why did my candles never come? Why can't I email the company instead of wasting so much of my time to address their error? Why would anyone think random candle smells is a viable solution!
Recently I bought candles for me and my dying grandmother total 8. We got put under review and cancelled without even consulting us. The reason given the order was to large and they didn't approve that I used my fathers card to order. When we share a last name. What is in yankee candles to make them wonder what people do with them? My advice find a nice local shop and left these big box stores go out of business.
Yankee Candle has medium jar candles with 2 wicks now. Their toppers do not fit and there is actually less candle as well. When I brought this up and asked to return, I got nothing except computer generated replies or a reply from someone who didn't know how to reply. Very disappointed because I do like the candles.
I ordered online during the promo for buy 3 get 3 free. After they shipped my incomplete order I received an email saying they were out of 2 items. I was never asked if I would like a different scent, why would they they were free! Over an hour and still on hold! Never again, I can go to Kohl's, Hallmark etc. to get a Yankee Candle. For such a large company I'm very disappointed in their treatment of loyal customers! Try candles from Bath and Body or Old World Market! Better than Yankee Candle!
I have shopped at Yankee candles online throughout the whole pandemic and can safely say that I enjoy the experience most of the time. Sometimes I've had trouble with their check out, but they run sales and give you discount coupons pretty often so I end up getting my candles for quite cheap. I've never had any problems with shipping, all the items arrive wrapped carefully and sometimes even in separate boxes.
As for the scents, there are some scents that are much stronger than others. I've noticed that the square shaped candle jars last me longer than the round ones, so that's a little sad because it narrows down my selection. Their latest Christmas scents are lovely, and I recommend them.
Also pro tip: if you shop here a few times, Yankee Candle sends you discount coupons also for other stores like nakedwines.
Customer service is okay but the website crashes constantly. I'm trying to give you my money, please make it easier for me to do so. Plus shipping was messed up, no wonder!
I have ordered candles from Yankee for over 20 years and have never received a package with broken candles in it. The glass used in the jar seems thinner! I'm not sure that I'm willing to risk lighting these candles and walking away because of the flimsy nature of the glass. I'm returning all to my local store. Yankee please don't let your standards. I have always enjoyed the quality of your entire product but you will lose a dedicated customer if you're willing to rush quality and lower standards for a few pennies.

I have been a customer of Yankee Candle for many years and I have fall in love with all their products. Although in the past the only thing I order was candles I have now started ordering other products to make my house smell great. I am addicted to their scent plugs and I have almost every scent they carry because I just love the way they smell and they last at least 45 days for me, which is unusual for this type of item.
The only thing that I have found is in the past the candles scent lasted a long time but not so much any more. But they do still smell good it just isn't as strong as I would like.
I never received my order and was told to check for it in my area outside or to wait several days since it might still arrive - several times the same comment. I used a chat - again unsuccessfully. Nothing happened of course Now it seems they are just ignoring me and hope I will go away. I won't and I am going to look into it what can be done. As far as I am concerned I fulfilled my side of the contract and they did get my money so the ball is in their court, I will keep pestering them - and this has happened before. I don't even know why I bother with them!
Yankee candles use to be above the rest but now they are crap! You are waisting your money!

One candle lit, used to smell up the whole house. Now, if they don't smell like melted crayons, I smell nothing at all! So disappointing! I am currently burning lilac, it's almost burned out and not once have I smelled it, NOT ONCE!
I like the products at Yankee candle. However, don't order anything online. They NEVER fill my full order- always items are out of stock after I've ordered because it takes them a minimum of 7 business days just to ship my products. Once they've shipped, it's another 6-8 business days. Their customer service people are like robots. They NEVER offer to resolve any issues. Do not buy from them online! Unless you like to wait several weeks and not get everything you ordered. If you must buy, go into the store.
Order Candles when they had the 5 for $55 sale. I have gotten the same scents in the past, but not sure if this was a bad batch but they have no smell at all! Seems like their quality is going down hill, why sell candles with scents if they don't give off any. Last purchase from Yankee candle.
Ordered plug in refill on 22 November on 27 received msg from UPL to say it would be delivered the next day. It was not, or the one after that! I rang today and they could only refund me as my order was lost (no email to inform me of this). My refund will take a week. The lady I spoke to was very nonchalant and didn't care, please stay away from this awful company
Absolute worst company and customer service. They do not honor promos, you have to call repeatedly and still nothing gets done. You are placed on hold and asked to call back and it is one lie after another. They cancel orders and shipping is slower than they indicate on the website. Deceitful company that only seeks money from your order, but they don't take care of you after the order is placed.
Ordered one large candle on September 28. On October 6 they had not even created a shipping label. Had to wait three more weeks to be told they were "waiting for the delivery service" to pick it up. Couldn't help but think I was getting the runaround and almost asked for a refund but just decided to wait. Then today (November 7) was finally told via the umpteenth random, non-dedicated customer service agent they had to cancel my order (after creating a new order after I had to call CS twice to see what happened to my candle) only to tell me it's not in stock.
Never order directly from this company.
There's a reason why it's easier to just buy them in some other random home goods store.

I ordered over $150 in products that I didn't receive. I emailed customer care requesting a refund and they took a long time to respond. They still haven't issued my refund but decided to close my file and decided the matter was taken care of satisfactorily. By not issuing my requested refund? The products were bought in Feb. And it's now May. Repeated follow up emails have gone ignored. Don't give this company your money; you may not get your product or your money back!
One of the candles I received in my order arrived broken. I called and was told I'd receive a replacement. That order was cancelled for some reason. I called again and spent at least 30 minutes on the phone, was told that it would be sent, and for me not to cancel it this time. I didn't cancel anything. It's been over a month and I have still not received the replacement or my money back. I used to order frequently but NEVER again! Bath and Body Works is much better in every way!
Emails every day... So annoying! Yes I did unsubscribe. Yes I did go to my account and make sure my preferences were set correctly. I finally had to mark them as spam which I hate to do for legitimate businesses. It took about a week for them to get the product out of their warehouse but once on the road it go here in a reasonable amount of time. So be patient on delivery time. Product is fine. (got melt cups). Took off a star for the email annoyance.
