With all the hype about Yankee Candle I figured I'd give it a try. Well for 26.00 I thought I'd get a great smelling candle, instead I got a light and no smell. Burn pool uneven, and black soot around glass rim. Overall poor quality. Save your money.My first and last.
I purchased expedited shipping for $20, and once the order was placed they only could ship one of my candles for $20 the rest were going to come after I needed them. When I called to cancel my order, I held for 3 1/2 hours then was hung up on. I wont buy their candles anymore! It is a shame as I love their scents, but wont give up that much time for Christmas gifts again.
Yankee Candle has the worst customer service. Wait on hold for hours and no help. Items ordered weeks ago still not shipped. Not helpful if I order a gift and it does not arrive in time for the holiday. Can't even get a hold of anyone to cancel. RIDICULOUS! I am done with this company. Second bad experience in a month and now I am mortified a gift won't be received on time. Thanks for nothing.
They cancelled my order because nothing was in stock! How does this happen? I was notified 4 days after i placed order!.not cool! Was supposed to be a gift! Never order from them again! Not trustworthy.apparently they dont do inventory.
Yankee Candles built a brand, got folks hooked, and then began slacking on quality. All of their candles used to burn long and smell wonderful. Now, they burn terribly, with a lot of black residue floating around in the wax, and I can't even smell them, and I have a phenomenal sense of smell.
Needless to say, I've begun a search for better quality, and so far have found two other brands, at $3 to $4 dollars less. So long, Yankee Candle!
Wait 48 minutes to get someone on the phone and customer service number goes to the Philippines and they don't have any different answers than when you go online and enter your order number. DO NOT CALL, it's pointless. I placed this order 7 days ago, still has not shipped and customer service tells me it can take up to 8 days to be delivered once it does ship, which no one can tell me when that will be. What a mess, if you want these candles, just go to the store.
Ordered a ten count of a diffuser refill. 2 days later received an email that my order was cancelled as they couldn't fulfill ANY of my order. Called customer service, only to be told my refund would take 3-5 business days. I'm furious. The agent told me it's my banks policy that my refund would take that long. My response. That's a secondary problem to the fact that they sold me ten items that they didn't have. Will never order from them again, or shop in their stores.
I walked around the store for MORE than 15 minutes before a young lady(African American) asked me if I needed any help. I was looking for Christmas gifts and indeed needed help. She answered every question I had and showed me new scents while the other young ladies(Caucasian) looked on WITHOUT a greeting of any kind. I see why your company's rating is poor... because the customer service IS and has always been POOR. I spent well over $100.00 in your store for gifts, but the more I think about it, I'm going to take them back. I will not support a company like this. I wish I could have given. 5 star.
I visited their site because I received an email promotion for a sale. Ordered in stock items. Received an email later stating my order was canceled due to items being out of stock twice. They canceled the order but still took money from my account! Horrible customers experience since they left Bed Bath and Behind!
I placed an order, payment Kent was deducted from my account, but the order was never fulfilled. I have called and sat on hold over an hour each time, with no answer. I have emailed 4 times with no response. Absolutely horrendous customer service... what happened to Yankee Candle?!
I used to love Yankee but this will be my last purchase! It has NO SMELL and pricey. Tried 4 of them just to give it another try with a huge disappointment! Sticking to my White Barn at bath and body works! Bye Yankee
In the past year the candle smells stronger when you take the lid off than when you do burning them. The prices keep going up but the smell gets less and less when burning. Is there any way to fix this issue? At one time I loved these candles but now for the price and the smell it does not seem worth it to buy these candles. I hate to have to go elsewhere to buy my candles just so I can get a stronger smell than the Yankees ones.
I love YC and have purchased many over the years. I am not sure what has happened, but the candles no longer have a lasting scent. In the past, after a very short amount of burn time, my home would have a lovely fragrance. My most recent purchase, I burned a candle for 2 1/2 hours and there absolutely no fragrance. I had taken advantage of a sale (3 candles for price of 2) called and complained and they sent me 3 new ones. While their service was great, I now unfortunately have 6 candles that have no fragrance. This is very disappointing. These candles are expensive, and it is an expense I am no longer will pay!
I have bought Yankee candles for over twenty years and was ALWAYs satisfied with the quality. However, the last two years the fragrances have not been as strong as in the past. In fact, I returned several of the candles because they had NO fragrance at all. Yankee Candle was very accommodating in the exchange but the new candles also were not up to their regular quality. Has anyone else experienced problems?
I love the Wood wick candles…so I decided to order some directly through their website. Needless to say, worse idea EVER! When I received my partial order, one candle was crushed and it cut the $#*! out of my finger. I called and they said they were going to replace it….haven't seen it yet! They charged me for my full original order while three items on that order were not available. They continuously tell me a credit is coming, but have not seen it yet and it has been weeks since original order was placed.
I ordered six candles as Christmas gifts last night to wake up to an email that the order has been canceled. It would be best if they could keep their site updated of what is in stock to not give false hope, and have you go through the ordering process just to find out you'll never receive them.
Yankee Candle sent me over $400 worth of Scent Plugs and other products that were partially or completely damaged, which besides not working also leaked all over the floor and carpets of my new office. Customer service was no real help and made any type of return an impossible process. I have been a loyal customer for years, spending $100s per order, but will never be buying from them again. Faulty products, even though it was all in the order, is a small problem compared to the complete disregard shown by customer service. I'm now out my money, have to get the carpets cleaned, and have to buy another product to supply my office, done with Yankee Candle!
Thought it was me, my own seance of smell. It wasn't. Fragrance is noticeably less prominent in all my latest purchases. I spend 3 to 4 hundred dollars a year for myself and gifts for others. Y. C. Needs to reboot. Not happy
I have never dealt with such an inept and incompetent company in my life. The glass was shattered on 2 of the candles I ordered from them, and 3 items were missing from my order. Packaging was horrible, so it was no wonder some items were damaged in shipping. I figured contacting customer service would remedy the problem, but you will be treated like you're some sort of criminal trying to run a scam on them. I spent hours jumping through hoops to try and resolve my problem, and am still not sure they will resolve it satisfactorily. It also seems many people have issues with missing items, so one has to wonder about their quality control - or if shortchanging customers is company policy? I would also rate the interaction with customer services reps as a big zero. They seem more eager to argue with you than to help you solve your problem. Bottom Line = Purchase from Yankee Candle if you want the biggest headache of your life
I ordered a lot of candles on sale. They emailed saying we were unable to ship one or more items. They canceled ALL but one candle! No explanation in email. I called and they said candles were out of stock. But when I checked their site, sure as $#*!, they show in stock! They just didn't want to sell them for the $6.63 price they had on them! FALSE ADVERTISING!
Then they wasted a bunch of my time with emails saying they would make it right, asking me a bunch of info about my order, saying someone would call me to reorder. Weeks later... crickets. Bull$#*!!
Shady business I will STAY AWAY from. NEVER shopping there again.
Answer: The option of personalizing. Unfortunately, they don't have an advanced enough website or customer service group to be able to honor promotional deals and deal with issues.
Answer: Hi I don't know which number you are trying to reach them. This one is the one I called 877-803-6890 twice today and both case someone at least answer. They don't fix the situation but did answer. Also have with you order number, your personal information like address, name, phone. Good luck
