I reached out to a representative via email last evening regarding the 10% discount code that is promised to new account openings to which was replied with, "Well i actually don't have a way to directly send you a promo code," without any resolution or guidance. Today, I reached out to a different representative via phone call (was on hold for 26 minutes) for the same reason. This representative told me she was able to apply the 10% discount code to the item in my cart. She confirmed the new price after the discount was applied and was also able to place my order over the phone. I thanked her and we ended the conversation. Shortly afterwards, I received a confirmation email from Wayfair as well as an email from my credit card company, stating that the original amount was charged to my account. I called the service number again only this time, I was on hold for OVER 2.5 HOURS! The representative I spoke to was very polite but even when they finally took my call, it was an additional 20 minutes to investigate the problem. This is the poorest customer service, from the careless responses from representatives via email, the dishonesty from representatives via telephone, and the outrageous wait times over the phone. This was my first and last time purchasing from this company. Do not waste your time or money with Wayfair.
I am HIGHLY disappointed in this Wayfair/Handy.com service... First, the purchasing/delivery went as planned. Thereafter scheduling a $442.00 "handy man" service... This is where the process is/going completely unsatisfactory.
On February 7,2023, A gentleman from handy.com "Martaveous B." contacted myself and texted "$51.00 from Handy.com isn't worthy the money to drive to your home and complete this pool table build. He attempted to schedule for days outside of my initial date of February 7,2023. I also received an anonymous phone call about "paying more than the $442.00 pool table setup fee."
On February 8,2023, A gentleman name Joshua T. Called and stated "For the quality work he produces, he will need to get paid additionally to compensate for the money that Handy.com pays.
This is beyond ridiculous that I contact Wayfair customer support twice on February 7,2023 (Between 11:30/2:30) timeframe to complain about this issue and I get the complete round around that led me to deal with Handy.com on my own. I do NOT recommend this company/service to anyone!
They make you buy expensive stuff like vanity for big discount then as happy customer you gona start buying small things and those will arrive on time! But vanity that i bought they told me it was discontinued and it was still selling on they site! So they canceled my most important order after 3 weeks waiting...VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE! STAY AWAY!
I've ordered from Wayfair a couple of times within the past three months. One item arrived in a timely fashion and I did receive emails with tracking numbers. The second item was a lamp which arrived quickly and in perfect condition except that the lamp shade was not in the package. I called customer service and they said they would ship the shade (which was supposed to be included with the lamp in the first place) but it would take two weeks to arrive. In later November I ordered a leather stool. I never received an email with tracking info so I called to see what was going on and was told it had shipped. I then got a tracking number but the Fed Ex site showed that the item had never left the warehouse. By the end of December I called again. They said they were unable to find what had happened but they would ship another of the same item and gave me a 20% refund. I'll be waiting to see if it indeed does arrive! The customer service person was very friendly and appeared to be helpful. Update: the item never arrived. Then they said they were unable to get the color I wanted. I finally purchased the item from another vendor. The run a round over the course of a month or more was it for me. I've not ordered anything from them since!
A few things you should be aware of: Wayfair will expect you to interact with the manufacturer. If you have issues with your purchase, they do very little in order to help you and do a lot to discourage your return.
I Purchased a desk that was advertised as 43 inches wide and it is actually 40 inches wide. The size actually makes a difference to me they try to give me a discount so I would not return the product and now want to charge me to return the product.
I also bought a desk chair that is defective. Basically the cylinder cap that supports the seat is warped so the chair does not sit evenly. Here is the scam. The manufacturer sends the chair in a box that cannot accommodate a return. It is a triangle box. Everyone knows once you install hydraulics they cannot be removed. I am then forced to have to pay for a box to return my defective product. This is not acceptable and I am going through the proper channels to get my money back. The manufactures interaction should be only with Wayfair I Purchased with Wayfair. Therefore this is not my problem. Wayfair's products are below average usually defective and falsely advertised. I will never be purchasing from them again.
We ordered an item in JULY of 2020. Fully understanding covid 2020, yet we did NOT expect to receive the item 7 MONTHS later. And then on top of that get a USED / RETURNED item that was very poorly packaged, cracked and flimsy. To spend 4 THOUSAND dollars and this is what we get in return. In trying to communicate this we've been hung up on and/or redirected to people who can NOT help us... or on eternal HOLD.
To make matters WORSE, after NOT SIGNING for the item that was literally DUMPED in our driveway, item was gone two days later and THEN we still get billed for it. Now they are sending it to COLLECTIONS with a wonderful company called Comenity. So needless to say, after a few years with Wayfair, many ITEMS purchased, we will NO LONGER be having anything to do with Wayfair AND as long as this is NOT resolved we will make an extra effort that everyone we speak to, know, or come across will ALSO know about this.
If I could give NEGATIVE STARs I would.
I had purchased an item months ago but I ensured to purchase Allstate insurance for it as the reviews were not so great. I loved my purchase but it has lost it's resiliency. I made the purchase over the phone and asked Wayfair what the insurance covered. Wayfair knowingly let me purchase insurance that does not cover my item. Allstate insurance was ridiculous, online forms that lead to the phone that lead to chatting online that lead to another phone number to submitting photos to getting declined in 5 minutes - great scam. Wayfair told me since my warranty period is up they can't help me so I had to open a case with Paypal. If Paypal fails I will open a case with the Better Business Bureau and submit a complaint to Consumer Affairs. DO NOT BUY ALLSTATE INSURANCE WITH WAYFAIR IT IS A SCAM. What they are doing is illegal.
I ended up opening a case with Paypal and was contacted by Wayfair a few days later offering a refund. I gave them back a star for doing the right thing but the aggravation wasn't worth it.
First all my orders are cancelled by their automated system so I have to call to verify who I am, this happened 3 times then the nightstand I bought was from a 3rd party which Wayfair doesn't indicate on their site. My nightstand hardware did not work and it was unsafe but the manufacturer wanted me to pay to ship the 50lb unit back. They couldn't replace it because Wayfair removed the unit from their site after I reported a safety issue. Wayfair told me they would have refunded it if they could. According to PayPal I bought it from Wayfair! Stay clear of this company it isn't worth the headache.
I love the look of wayfair furniture and home products so I ordered a grey tv stand for my new home. When it arrived the top was damaged. We had assembled the rest and to be honest the finish on the whole thing was not good never cheap looking although it was strong and sturdy. After calling customer service they sent out a replacement. Took about two weeks. That one was also damaged in two places. Called customer service again and they said a third would be delivered and they also gave me a refund of 30% of the full price. Next I had a message saying there were no more tops but they would send a whole new tv stand. Told me to donate the first one. In the end I asked for a full refund as I couldnt be bothered to put together another and potentially have another damaged item. They just dont pack things well enough. I got my refund and still have the stand as they dont want it back. So although the product was bad quality and finish I didnt have any issues getting refunded. All representatives were very courteous and helpful.
One year ago I ordered a bed frame from Wayfair. It looks cheap, poorly made, and arrived damaged. Whatever, I thought, it's Wayfair. What do you expect. That's not why I'm writing this review. On June 6th of this year, my account was hacked and an order was placed for a bed frame that charged my credit card $420. Within ONE HOUR of that order being placed, I chatted with a rep online who submitted the order to be reviewed for fraud. Another hour later, I get an email saying the cancellation is "pending." Great, that's taken care of. Today, June 8th, I get a shipping confirmation that says my lovely hacker friend will receive his bed frame tomorrow, the 9th (gotta love that fast shipping!). I subsequently get an email saying my order could not be cancelled because an item has already shipped. I wish I had a chance to apologize to the poor customer service rep I got on the phone just now, because I was probably a little too angry with her. She confirmed that the order was flagged as fraudulent and yet, a whole two days after the fact, the order was sent on its merry way to Panama City Beach and my cancellation was denied. According to her, the warehouse is unable to see which orders are fraudulent, and now I just have to dispute it on my credit card. Which you know what, fine. Easy enough. But the fact that this company gives so little regard for fraud really tells you everything you need to know about them.
I have to tell you that I am very disappointed in the way your company has handled the communication about my recent order *******153). I ordered a mattress from you on May 24 and received an email today stating that it is no longer available. How is your inventory so mismanaged that it takes your company 17 days to realize that you don't have the item I have already ordered? This seems like a huge oversight. I could have handled the situation if you had communicated it with me earlier. But now I have slept on an air mattress for almost a week since I sold my other bed on June 1st based on the "My order" tab on your website showed that my mattress would be delivered on June 2nd.
My biggest frustration is that no one emailed or called to tell me. I have to call the customer service line and wait over an hour for someone to tell me that my order is on hold. According to the notes in my account, your company new that there was no supplier for the mattress on June 5th and I am just now receiving an email... FOUR DAYS LATER!
After speaking with your customer service representative again yesterday, I made the two hour round trip to pick up a mattress at Sam's. This mattress cost me an additional 300.00 and valuable time away from my son. I am shocked that your company doesn't have a better inventory and communication system in place. I expect to receive a call from a supervisor this week. You may contact me at *******282.
Final thought- How about you mark items "out of stock" when you don't have them? Then I would have selected another mattress from the available choices.
We bought 2 Recliner Chair with Heating and Massage Function For Living Room by Canora. Within months one of the springs came out of my husbands. Then a few months later the leg on mine broke in two. This is all in the first year. Now another spring came out of mine. Piece of crap.
So we also needed smaller pieces of furniture when we moved out of our house into a condo so we also bought a coffee table. WiThin months it started cracking. It's hardly ever used. Piece of crap,
We also bought a armoire for clothes and first one hinge came off and then all three. Piece of crap. NEVER BUY FROM WAYFAIR AGAIN. No better than IKEA furniture.
What is happening to a once very reliable company?
We ordered furniture for our Christian preschool and kindergarten in June of 21. We were told that the expected delivery date would be first week of August.
After many phone calls and email attempts to request tracking information we received no information on tracking numbers. Phone calls were answered by a machine. 50% of the time and about half of the time there was no response to our questions.
We finally decided to cancel our orders and did receive cancellation confirmation over the phone with a email response stating the cancellation of the orders had been accepted.
Both phone conversation and email stated a
3 and a half, to 5 week processing before we could expect to receive our money back.
Now after the 5 weeks have passed "we" reached out to Wayfair again to learn from the same contact "manager" we have that "she" was misinformed and now she was told by her financial people it is 8 weeks to process return funds.
There is more to this story that I will follow up with in greater detail in the next few days.
All we want is our money returned and close this nightmare of a seemed to be a simple purchasing process.

Nice mattress pad. Although waterproof, it doesn't make any crinkly noises, so comfort! Have not washed it yet, so not sure how it will hold up. But still I would buy another one!
I am surprised to see so many bad reviews as I have purchased from them several times, got great prices on great products along with really good service. I will use them again!
Was double charged for a $243.75 gift item. 4 days apart my PayPal and Amex card was charged so I am now being billed $487.50 for a $243.75 item. No one wants to help! Not Wayfair or Amex.
If I could give no stars I would. This company is a rip off. I ordered a gazebo from this company it said it would arrive on May 6th and I was happy cause I was going on vacation and I would be back may 5th. I get home and I get my emails saying it arrived on the 4th and they left it right on my door step where the world could see it not infront of our truck either at 7am in the morning no signature no doorbell so my daughter could get it no knock no nothing. I went looking everywhere couldnt find it! I call wayfair they tell me they have a photo showing it was dropped off nothing they can do sorry. The lady I talked to
Was so rude and didn't care about her customers she should never be a manager / supervisor her name is Catoria. She forbid to let me talk to her supervisor and said I can wait to talk to someone else but they will tell me the same thing. They are all Crooks this company needs to be shut down Now I'm out $500.00 and no gazebo. I'm so angry 😠 If there is anyone in this company that I can talk to please msg me so you can help me. I feel like I want to puke. Nobody cares about anybody anymore. Being a manager is so important to me and helping people is what I do. This place has no care in the world! I'll be posting this everywhere till public sees they are crooks. Who knows they could have taken a photo and kept it for themselves.
DO. NOT. PURCHASE. FROM. WAYFAIR. They will deliver damaged goods and make up excuses not to tender a refund. They seem bent on proving that capitalism is organized crime.
This is a scam and a half. Why is the shelving so gosh darn expensive? There is no reason a single plank of wood and some metal should cost such an extortionate amount of money.
I am appalled at the piss poor service and utter lack of organization, communication, and overall clusterf*ck of an experience. We ordered a couch that, upon delivery at my house, was discovered to have water damage. We ordered another after four back and forth phone calls with conflicting messaging. A week later, we're told our couch is no longer in stock. I wait for over an hour to ask a CSR to match our price if we find another. About another week later, we find one that Wayfair is willing to match (our fourth preferred option.) We place the new order, that I'm unable to track via the website, and was told to reach out to the local warehouse around 6/24/20, when the couch would be shipped. I reached out to a CSR online whose response clearly indicated she didn't read my message or look into it at all. NOW, today on 7/1/20, I contact the warehouse and they're telling me the couch is yet AGAIN delayed. I asked if anybody was going to reach out and he told me he's never heard of that happening. How are you a huge company and yet offer piss poor solutions and services? I'm furious. We're still out $1500 with no couch, two and a half months after we were supposed to receive one.
How embarrassingly awful do your services need to get to require oversight to fix a problem? I would never have wasted my time with you or your affiliates if I knew how much of my time would be dedicated to trying to solve a problem Wayfair caused with my money.
I feel that this desk was not worth $209. The word was cheap and warped on a few spots. I think it is worth $80. I feel like I got ripped off but it's too much trouble to send back.
Answer: Allison, Yes, the box that the floor lamp came in did have a picture of the lamp on it. I would ask when you order. I hope this helps. James.
Answer: No, they will take returns, but you pay fees. As for poor quality, I guess we just swallow it.
Answer: From my experience, this is company is to be avoided. Sounds like your life will be hectic enough for awhile so you don't need additional stress. Buy elsewhere is my advice.
Answer: Need to call Customer Service ( a/k/a Customer Disservice) about any issue. Expect to be disappointed, but they may honor it. Best to avoid Wayfair in the future.
Answer: Suggest calling Customer Service aka Customer disservice. A word of advice: buy elsewhere; anywhere else. This Co. Just does not care.
Answer: Obviously their mission to become popular has worked. They don't need to be a good company anymore. They will take the money and run. When the time is right, they will close up shop and reopen with a new name. It is hard to find a business with integrity anymore.
Answer: Stay away. They do not follow up to make things right concerning your order.
Answer: Call customer service (aka customer disservice). This company should be avoided. Deal with a reputable Co like Amazon or its partners, They care.
Answer: I wouldn't order anything big from Wayfair. I had to order the same product 3 times, and each time, the product was damaged. Wayfair rhymes with nightmare for a reason.
Wayfair has a rating of 1.3 stars from 2,097 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers dissatisfied with Wayfair most frequently mention customer service, delivery date and credit card. Wayfair ranks 684th among Furniture sites.
