Viagogo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Tickets
February 1, 2017

I purchased ed sheeran tickets yesterday off this site and I clicked for 2 tickets and the price came up with £188 which I thought was good for two tickets, it also stated no hidden fees and the total came to £188 for two. I then put my details in etc to then get a confirmation email through and it cost me £515 for two tickets! Booking fee was over £100 VAT was £64 and a delievery fee at £10. I cannot cancel my tickets so now I'm stuck with two tickets what's cost me over £500! The only way I can get rid of them is buying selling them on, who's going to want to pay over £500 for two tickets. Never going to use this site again as it's misleading and it also needs to be shut down as this should be classed as fraud as it stated no hidden fees! Not very happy at all! This was a present for my mum for her birthday, didn't expect to pay that amount of money for two tickets! There is also no number to ring to speak to someone. $#*! site!

I bought tickets from this website since it was one of the top results in a google search. At the checkout they slapped close to $100 in additional charges to the ticket prices. After receiving the tickets I saw the price I paid per ticket (excluding the additional fees) were double the normal ticket price and were seated in a bad location. I searched again on the web and found out the tickets were still being sold by the venue at their normal price. I made the mistake of trusting that a top google search website is legitimate. Avoid making my same mistake and avoid this website

I input Sheffield Arena into the Internet. The "Sheffield Arena" site came up complete with map and other events. I went I book for a motocross event - chose 3 tickets and seats. The total was £78.99 - booked on my mobile: flashing banners saying "less than 1% of tickets left" "transaction will be cancelled in 6 minutes" / the banners covered the he top and bottom of my screen. I got the email confirmation stating the that I had paid £333.60. I contacted Sheffield Arena immediately as I thought they'd taken the payment 3 times! To find out the he tickets would have been £147.00 but that my email and booking was with "viagogo" when I read the email out to them. I'd never heard of Viagogo and definitely would not have used them.
They have a no cancellation policy and you cannot get hold of anyone - nightmare. I'm sure that gat their site which poses as Sheffield Arena could he classed as a scam. BEWARE!

Viagogo BE AWARE
January 31, 2017

Be aware when you buy more than 1 ticket on their website! The programmers wrote it that you never see the sum of the tickets you purchase, I ended up paying 10x more for a open air concert... and guess what, no response from their client service department (do they have one) or via Twitter. I will never use them again! I am sure many more were conned like me..

So upset and angry to be sooo ripped off! I paid $215 plus $60 per ticket booking fee plus$5 handling for general admission etickets! Beware of the email that says congratulations you are on your way to Nick Cave your tickets will be ready to be downloaded no later than 3 days before the event... it's bad enough to be ripped off by the price then no tickets! I have lodged a dispute and am contacting the ombudsman! I foolishly clicked on the first sight that popped up when I googled tickets for Nick Cave fingers sesverely burnt!

Company makes misleading promises and statements for a service they have no control over. We booked tickets more than a month out with VIAGOGO, we received confirmations with "congratulations, you are on your way to the event," and "you will have your tickets 3 days before the event," and "contact us from this link in the email," and "contact us at this number for support." All of it FAILED. No tickets, no help from support, their contact links had multiple replies of issues with their system. We call them on the phone and they share they are having issues with their system. We tried very much with this company to get our order and they failed every step of the way. Terrible company, terrible support, terrible technology. Our confirmation numbers *******, *******

Do not use viagogo
January 25, 2017

I bought two tickets for edinburgh playhouse and paid a total of £108 which included overpriced tickets, a high booking fee and postage. It's only when you pay that the extras come up. I could have got the tickets through another company for £50. Do not use viagogo!

On website thay say that tickets are accepted even if they have names of original owners. We paid double the amount for the tickets plus airfare to watch the game and have been told by a mail from Juventus that they will not be accepted. So we were scammed of 350 Euro plus a trip to Turin for nothing. We have had zero support from viagogo and they merely pass the buck and playing for time. Asking us to do this and that and haven't resolved the matter. I hope we can get out money back. BEWARE OF THIS SITE.

They truly are thieves. Our Big Bash Tickets are double what they should have been. No way to contact them to complain. I am putting in an official complaint to the ombudsman and they should be removed from internet searches for tickets. Complete rogues

I bought 2 tickets on viagogo to see Kinky Boots in Melbourne. The area I wanted to sit in was sold out on the ticketek site. I checked the prices on viagogo and the description of where the seats were and it seemed correct and comparable. They were emailed to me and they WERE NOT at all what was advertised (stalls). I paid $149 per ticket, plus the $79 booking fee etc only to receive $70 tickets way in the back. I am fuming. It should be compulsory that the seller list the row where the seats are. No regulation lets the seller with no moral compass make a quick buck. I am going to go further with this.

They couldn't care less!
January 16, 2017

I booked at attend a showing of Wicked, whilst on a visit to London. The day before, I was traveling to London, from a trip to Germany. I contacted Viagogo (via email, as they make no phone numbers available) to inquire if they could help me assign a different person to collect my tickets for the show, in the event that I didn't make it in... the weather in Germany was blizzard-like and treacherous. I simply received a reply email that the account is emailed was not for customer service inquiries - though they gave no other alternative. Luckily, I made it back, paid for train and tube tickets to get to London, only for (one hour before the show) Viagogo contacted me to tell me they'd over sold the tickets and I would have none waiting for me at the theater. ONE HOUR! I had traveled to London for this event! They simply said sorry, they'd refund my full purchase amount (duh, no kidding) and they'd, "... see if they could give me some kind of credit compensation for a future booking." Just appalling! Worst company ever. STEER CLEAR, AT ALL COSTS!

THIEVING B***ARDS!
January 15, 2017

I paid for 2 tickets at £35 each for the Premier Darts at Sheffield Arena as a Christmas present for friends but the 2 tickets I received had £23 printed on the stubbs.
Here's the break down I received from Viagogo AFTER paying:
Price per ticket: £35 ( Not £23, which was the price printed on each ticket stubb.)
Booking fee: £19.45
Delivery fee: £9.95 ( Recorded delivery in an envelope. Non negotiable)
VAT: £3.89 (?)
Total Charge: £103.29
How are these scamsters allowed to get away with this £103.29 for two £23 tickets? Another friend later told me of the Viagogo scam but all too late for me. He got 2 £23 tickets from a different company for under £60 all in.
Viagogo need investigating and fast! Any ticket tout (which is all this company seem to be) that uses an auto-response to complaints is very suspect in deed. DO NOT DEAL WITH VIAGOGO! Save money by dealing with a ticket seller who won't rob you.
My friends are disgusted by the way I was ripped off.
We won't hold our breath waiting for a plausible explanation from Viagogo, after all they have my money now.

Just a bunch of robbers
January 13, 2017

I bought 5 rugby international tickets and paid 865 pounds, I ended up with 5 tickets with a face value of 85 pounds with the remainder of the cost being fees and the inflated ticket price which I were told was 127 pounds
This company stinks and robs real fans of the sport or music.
A bunch of scumbags.

They charged us a £25 fee for two £50 tickets for a football match in Valencia. Then when the event was cancelled they offered no refund as it would be played the next year. Our only option was to resell the tickets on their site where they again charged us £10 for pleasure, plus EUR10 per ticket sold to give us the money.

Absolute scum. And you can't call them. They also didn't let us know the event was cancelled, told us our tickets were posted. There guarantee isn't worth the words, going though the T&C's it contradicts everything.

When someone has enough money they'll shut this company down in court.

Scam
January 11, 2017

Booked tickets as a gift for my parents 40th wedding anniversary. I paid £450 for four tickets and £100 of it was a booking fee was only listed on the statement after they charged my card. I decided to pick the more expensive tickets so my parents would have a better seats. Tickets arrived with the face value of £150 for all of them. The bottom line they were the cheapest tickets available for the performance. There is none to call or email.
