The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Please don't purchase from this company- they add lots of extra fees and the amount that was shown at the checkout was quite different to what I was billed. ( Obviously I was billed more, not less!) When emailing directly after the transaction took place, realising a rip off had taken place, they advised me that I couldn't get the purchases reversed. They refuse to return my emails now, asking them about the differences in charges. Scammers!
We purchased VIP tickets to Old Chella last spring for over $4000. After our purchase, we received an email from them saying, we would receive tickets within 3 weeks from the scheduled event date. 3 weeks came and no tickets, contacted them and they said they would be Fedex overnight and we would have within 2 days. 2 days came and no tickets, we asked that we be able to pick up at Will Call, and they said no. They said they had a computer glitch and that we would receive within 2 days. After 2 days, still no tickets.
We called and said we want a refund, and they said NO REFUNDS.
We called our credit card company and filed a complaint, saying we wanted a full refund.
Then the night before the concert, they emailed saying we could pick up at Will Call, we said, we already made other plans and to cancel the order, of course they said this was not possible as they don't give refunds.
Well, our credit card company reversed the charges, and we did not lose a penny. In fact Viagogo lost money as the tickets were never used.
ALWAYS save your correspondence from the company, and use a credit card when buying from these crooks, in case they do not deliver.
THEY CAN BE BEATEN!
Just read the other reviews! I bought a ticket for RHCP in Milan and paid over $80 for postage to be sent to me in Australia... yeah, nah.
Also sold some tickets for GnR in Sydney and there was an issue with the sale - they NEVER respond to any emails and you are unable to call them.
STAY AWAY!
On purchasing the tickets for £29.99 each I was not informed of the breakdown of additional fees. It was not displayed clearly at the checkout and I ended up paying £42 in fees. If I would have known this I would have purchased the tickets from a different site, for half the total amount! This is fraudulent and there is no way to get your complaints addressees! I would advise everyone strongly against ever using this site! It is a complete rip off! I am so upset, I have never been exploited like this on buying tickets before. Please stay away
I don't mind paying a little extra and I wanted these tickets for my son for passing his exams. Face value £52 unpaid £275 for 2. Immoral and unfair. Should be illegal these people are getting rich off of the back of ordinary people. Disgusting.
You are in a "queue" right from clicking on buy tickets. It is continually counting down time to secure your tickets and telling you how many people are queueing behind you for your tickets, When it comes to paying there is a big booking fee, delivery charge etc on each ticket. I have however received the tickets well in time for event, and they are still the fantastic seats I booked (fingers crossed for when I get there).
Bought 3 tickets for the first time which had so many added on fees per ticket costing nearly £400 for the furthest seats possible with rubbish view. Sold the tickets for much less, the site told me id get paper tickets first and id have to wait to post them to the buyer. The site then cancelled my sale and took £60 more from my account. Then told me i had e-tickets. I then tried to re sell the tickets. The event has passed and iv had no money back for my sale. Literally lost £450... they are theives - never book from them. I had the most worst unexpected experience with them. Please dont use them - disgusting!
So first they cancelled one sale without telling me. It is only after I informed them that there would be a delay in shipping tickets that they informed me! Otherwise the tickets would have been sent as agreed.
Then they cancelled a sale on me prior to the agreed shipping date and charged me £20. Fortunately I managed
Then they cancelled a sale on me 3 DAYS AFTER the buyer had received the tickets! And they charged me £20 on top of sending the buyer a second ticket and refused to let me contact him to recover the tickets.
This was all in the space of 8 days.
Numerous complaints have got me nowhere and they make a point of making it as difficult as possible to contact them. There are no contact details on the website other than an address in Switzerland which they state will take 14 days for any mail to reach them. Currently going through small claims court...
For a concert, it's said the price is 179 dollars each, but when you paid, it will show that they charge you booking fee /transcaction fee of more than 100 dollars etc, and do not know if/when you will get the tickets or not.
I purchased 2. Daniel o'donnell tickets as a special surprise for our 40th wedding anniversary. The only surprise I got was the two tickets for £154 cost me £426! Until you pay you do not know that the tickets are actually £154, each, there is a £90 booking fee and then £10 for postage. The tickets have a face value of £60 each! How they get away with robbing and deceiving people is unbelievable. I am going to write to Rip Off Britain an English consumer programme. I hope nobody uses viagogo ever again they are con merchants.
We purchased Guns n Roses tickets for the Feb 2017 Australian concert next week about 5 months ago at the highly inflated cost of over $400. My husband had his email account hacked and as a result his email address changed. We are no longer able to access his old email account or our tickets. Despite in excess of 20 emails asking viagogo to resend the tickets to his new email address or contact us they have not and we have no way of speaking to anyone at this company - total scam buyers be very wary.
Tried to buy Ed Sheeran tickets this morning and the site kept saying the tickets I'd selected had been sold, even after me putting in my basic details. So when I finally managed to get through to the confirmation page and put in my card info it didn't show the price of the seats I'd been offered... so I have two tickets right at the back (not even given seat numbers yet) for £685. I cannot afford these at all
"Absolute rip off " Buyer beware, wanted 2 tickets standing at £72 each according to their face valution, Got one ticket and a ridiculous booking fee@ £42, and just to add insult VAT as well, all came to £212.
DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
They increased the price in the last screen without warning, and don't give any refunds. In fact, they don't even have any way to contact them nor provide any information about the seller.
I didn't even buy tickets. All Ed sheeran tickets sold out on legitimate sites but they have them. Tickets with face value if £85 now being sold for more that £200 plus booking fees
In Aug this year they advertised tickets for guns and roses we purchased tickets thinking that was the offical selling point we paid $155 per ticket x 4 plus $155 for ticket handling now we find the same class of ticket through ticketek for $79 dollars I will be letting everyone I know through
Unbelievable price hikes on concert tickets. Outrageous. £22.50 tickets sold at £130 each plus £60 admin fee. Piss takers.
I sold a ticket for a concert, but they cancelled my sale after I sent the ticket. They cancelled the sale because their system did not recognise the tracking number the courier company (that I sent the ticket with) gave me. The seller was charged for the sale, the ticket arrived on time, but they seem to have "forgotten" to pay me. (I found out these details after contacting the seller myself.) Their cuatomer service is a sad joke. Contacting them via their help centre gives you no result, since the only answer they give you is to be patient and wait while they find a suitable solution for your problem. Over the telephone, I cannot get past the robot so I can speak to an actual human being. It has been three months since my sale, and I still didn't get payed. There is no nice way to say this: they basically STOLE from me.
Viagogo is a total ripoff. I was looking for Ed Sheeran tickets, their prices are five times more than I paid less than 12 months ago, and that's without the booking fees. On checking elsewhere I see that tickets aren't even officially on sale yet. Needless to say, I didn't book. Scam site to be avoided, the legality is questionable.
I will never buy anything from this website ever again!
The website is misleading, I have purchased two tickets to see Ed Shearon... When purchasing the tickets it came up at £192.60 x2. This then leading me to believe that I was getting both of the tickets for that price. Once I had checked out I then got my confirmation email, showing that I have paid £529.15. I am so disappointed, not only have I had to pay £192.60 per ticket but there is a £143.95 booking fee!
I have tried to get in touch with company by email, I have had no reply back for them, I have then put it on social media they have got back in touch with me however they have been no help. Rude!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
