The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I spent over £100 on tickets for a baseball game in Phoenix which Viagogo advertised as starting at 7.20pm. The day after I bought the tickets I found out that the game actually started at 12.30pm. My flight got me in at 12 noon so I could not possibly get there on time. I tried every way to contact Viagogo for a refund but no customer service was available. I feel conned and would say to anyone "Buyer Beware".
The confirmation process clearly shows a price for ticket... It is not until you enter your card details and confirm purchase that you know additional costs - added an extra £20. If known I would not have went ahead with purchase. Disappointed user.
Terrible. Me robaron lamentablemente. Pagué mis entradas pero jamás me llegaron. Les llamé por teléfono tres veces un número de pago y me dieron largas. Unos auténticos Ladrones.
Well over $100 per tkt in booking fees. Mark up of up to 30 times the normal ticket price! You won't know what you pay until after you accept the modest tkt price. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED - THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF!
OK, what a fool am I... Bought tickets for our wedding anniversary for Cirque du Soleil. Apparently, only a few tickets were left, so I felt no option but to pay the horrendous price, as it was our anniversary. I received the tickets via email, printed them out, and they are only worth $100 per ticket. So I just over paid $600. No news from viagogo if I will ever retrieve my money. What wankers.
We purchased 3 tickets for a Wallabies Game at Suncorp Stadium that were together. Get the download and discover they are in someone elses name, the cost is double and the tickets are not together. Ticketek and Suncorp Stadium have both declared that they will not honour tickets purchased through Viagogo. Viagogo have not responded to complaint emails and there is no phone number to call them. Say Goodbye to $500.00.
This company over charges you on sporting tickets. I purchased two soccer tickets, each costing $120.00 euros, however, when I received the tickets the actual cost printed on the ticket was for $17.00 euros. They also promised to provide you with printed tickets as you can keep as souvenirs, however I received a printed out email ticket on an 81/2 x 11 piece of paper. There was nothing special about these printed tickets. I definitely over paid to attend a soccer game. You are better off going through the actual venue themselves. They are more honest and do not over charge you.
I booked to see take that last Tuesday which was postponed was sent an email on Wednesday to inform me the new date was this Friday. I live on the Isle of Man so can't afford to pay out again to get to Liverpool. Told them my situation but they told me I can't have a refund great customer service not!
Dont buy anything through them you will get ripped off. Make sure what you buy doesnt have anything associated with viagogo or you will end up paying more money than what you should have.
Truly appalling service.
Won't talk to customers on phone earlier than 72 hours before event (didn't test this so only have their word for that even then) - seem to rely upon online chat line type communications - responses to this erratic in my experience
Truly obcsene ticket price markup - 2 Bootleg Beatles tickets, standing with restricted view at Albert Hall with face value of £25 each (do not recall this mentioned at time of online purchase in December) cost total price of £139.29.
Promised e-Tickets but they then changed this and required me to wait in for non-timed delivery by UBS|to be signed for.
I can think of no redeeming feature for this outfit and sincerely hope they go out of business.
Fell so stupid for not researching them before buying the tickets.
My show got postponed, i can't get hold of anyone from customer support, no number, no email, can't resell the tickets!
Lied and advertised themselves as the official ticket sellers. Over charged and did not show the price for the service charge which was $89! Absolutly disgusting con artists.
I purchased ticket for the flower show, 2 days before the date with hotel and trains booked and paid for, they emailed me to say the ticket was no longer available and would refund me however, they were still selling the same tickets at a higher price but would not give me them at the same price, which by the way was £250 above face value. This company are cheating people through their "terms and conditions" where one ticks a box and agrees to they canceling your ticket and refunding you because they can sell at a higher price. The robot of a person on the line had no care, consideration or empathy. Our retirement weekend was ruined.
Bought tickets off the web from these people because they lied and marketed themselves as the 'offical seller'. This web ite also said there were only 6 tickets left, another outright lie. Once i found out I had been robbed I cheked and there are stll plenty of tickets for sale. I complained to the concert veue and they said Viagog just purchses the tickets from the venue and then charges you and that the government was looking into it. In the mean time people cintinue to get robbed.
My wife and I booked tickets to the Bolshoi Ballet through Viagogo. The tickets were advertised as guaranteed "unrestricted view" and were priced at 200$ each. Upon arrival at the theater it became evident that the stage could NOT BE SEEN from the seats.
You may well ask how is this possible. The short answer: it appears this is business as usual for the famed Bolshoi. Americans are apparently naive in assuming that a 200$ ticket should insure an unobstructed view of the stage.
Viagogo, upon taking my complain by phone, denied responsibility, even though previously guaranteeing an unobstructed view. The representative first claimed it was the responsibility of the Bolshoi to insure a view, not the responsibility of Viagogo. The representative then stated I should have taken a picture from the seat to "prove" my case. He was apparently unaware that concert venues typically disallow the taking of pictures. He further demanded to know why I had not called immediately, apparently unaware that Viagogo's website offers no phone number for complaints. Finally he demanded that I send copies of my tickets to Viagogo for "proof." Proof of what, exactly? He admitted that he had no record of what seat numbers were sold to me. I was able to provide him with the level, box number and seat number, from which he could readily have done whatever research he chose, but he still demanded my tickets as the need for "proof." Apparently Viagogo is in the habit of guaranteeing seats about which they have no information. And then enlist a myriad of excuses to avoid having to offer a dreaded refund.
Verdict: Dreadful! Avoid at all cost!
My wife accidentally booked two tickets for the Chatsworth flower show via Viagogo tonight. Prices direct from the RHS site would have been £65 for the two. She paid £200 for the two, the booking fee did not show until payment had been made, and we cannot cancel them. What a scandal!
If I could give this Company negative
If I could give this Company negative stars then I would
DO NOT PURCHASE TICKETS FROM THIS COMPANY! They will rip you off. Their site is misleading, making it seem the tickets are about to run out when there are still plenty available. They do not tell you when you are purchasing the tickets exactly where your seats are, and then, when you get the tickets you find out that they are the cheapest and worst seats at the venue. They charge exorbitant processing fees that do not show up until the last minute. I bought 5 tickets for Cirque du Soleil as a special surprise for my 80 year old mother, paying $791. The tickets I have received, which are for the worst seats at the venue, have a face value of $76.73 each, which would work out to $381.55. So, a nice little profit of $409! And they do not care! Their customer service is pretty much non existent, and when you do manage to get something other than a generic reply it is rude.
This has to be the worst company I have ever used on the Internet and I advise anyone contemplating buying tickets from them to think twice and go elsewhere. We will probably not attend the show now as I cannot afford to buy different tickets and the ones I have are not fit for purpose.
So, thanks Viagogo for spoiling my mother's treat!
I wanted to sell the security through Viagogo. The ticket was sold and the 48-hour problem reporting period started. After 3-4 hours, I decided to give up the sale and go to the match and I reported it. I did not encounter any warning or problem. And after going to the match, I saw that my account was deducted 540 TL. I did not receive more than ten e-mails to Viagogo.
I'm sorry, why did you make this cut and on what basis?
It says that if I read the penal terms on their websites then a penalty of 20 USD can be applied if the problem is reported and abandoned within 48 hours. But the deduction made by me is 160 USD.
Also I can not find any interlocutors in my face, there is not even an email address on the website.
Please be careful when buying or selling tickets to this company.
I will seek out my legal rights, and I will warn everybody from social media against Viagogo.
Do NOT fall for it! Got all the way to a U2 concert with my "valid tickets" and turns out they were not legit. No # to call, no way to resolve. I was scammed and will dispute my credit card. But learn from MY mistake! Do NOT use this fake company!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
