Viagogo Reviews Summary

The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

Avoid at all costs
June 23, 2017

I bought 2 tickets for guns and roses at a cost if £380 (£80 booking fees) A couple of days later I no longer needed these tickets so I put them up for sale for £235 (sold at a loss). Accidentally I relisted them twice so after numerous calls and direct messages (by the way there customer service dept is a farce) to which they didn't respond until 4 days later (after the deadline date) they told me there would be a non fulfilment charge. Again more calls and direct messages and was told if they couldn't source 2 tickets they would offer a full refund. Now if they would have responded when I first contacted them then maybe they could've done a full refund to the buyer but also how can there website allow you to relist your tickets more than once. They know how many I purchased so why would they allow this. Now 5 days after the event, the one pair of tickets I did sell they sent me the money for, however they automatically charged me £127 For non fulfilment fee. Absolute joke of a company and there customer service dept is a disgrace... I would advise all to stay well away from this site... #vianogo

Due to my initial interactions with viagogo, I previously gave the vendor a scathing review. I had purchased concert tickets through viagogo which were described as 2 seats with an unobstructed view. When the tickets were emailed to me for downloading they turned out to be parking tickets. Because there is not customer service number on the viagogo website, I had to rely on their help center email to correspond with them. Their response was scripted and I was told repeatedly that they often did not have specific information from the sellers about seat location, but that my seats would be next to each other. After persisting and telling them that I hoped they would stand by their guarantee, they actually refunded the full purchase price including their fees as well as sending me a voucher for $79 towards the future purchase of tickets through their website. At least they did honor their guarantee, but due to the poor communication system of their help center I I spent a lot of time trying to communicate with them and endured a lot of aggravation.

I smelled a scam
June 23, 2017

I was looking for tickets for a band I'm dying to see so I looked on viagogo and they said there were only 2 tickets left so I panicked and tried to purchase them, fortunately for me, the site was lagging to load so I quickly went to the band's tour site to click the link to buy tickets there. I noticed that the cost of the tickets was half of viagogo's so I bought the tickets from the band's site instead. I don't think they are close to selling out so I'm a little bummed because I wasn't sure which city I wanted to go to but I guess I know now. What a scam though!

Springbok Rugby Tickets advertised as best seats and limited availability - (no seat numbers provided). Computiket site was offline during weekend. Price advertised at third of price I paid via credit card. When tickets arrived it was the worst possible seats worth nothing! No refunds and cancellations. Will never buy anything via this site again.

Viagogo is s scam
June 21, 2017

Site indicated only 8 tickets left. Got rushed into purchase. Only after accepting purchase did I realise it was used, not Australians, and then they added USD40 booking fee after I had accepted the purchase. They did not disclose that. I got a eticket. They said they will refund the cost of postage on another email. They have not refunded the postage and I get the same stereotype reply each time I query it. I am going to take this to the ACCC. This site should be shut down
They are scalpers.

The worst
June 20, 2017

Massive scam! Undisclosed fees turned out to be over 70 pounds for a festival ticket. You are only told AFTER you put all your card details in and all the time are rushed by notifications saying only two tickets left etc. Will never use again.

I purchased U2 tickets via Viagogo on line and did not know that this company is a scam! I did not receive my tickets and so far have not received a refund. I have contacted customer service several times and get the same response. They are going to send me the tickets as soon as the vendor releases them. Really?! The concert is tomorrow, June 20 at 7 pm at FedExField. Trust me, no tickets are coming! I was promised per Viagogo's so called 100% guarantee that the tickets would come 3 days prior to the event by FedEx. There is no FedEx coming to deliver tickets to me. All, I want is to see them in concert! Trying to buy new tickets but do t know who to trust!

Disgraceful
June 18, 2017

Bought tickets for Hans zimmer in February paid double the price for back row seats, last month got my tickets so thought fair enough least I'm going then 2 days ago got email saying my tickets are invalid and I'd be getting new ones. Surprise surprise after constantly emailing them no reply so I'm about 200 quid out of pocket and had to buy new tickets. Never ever use these con artist bastards also the search engines shouldn't be allowed to have them as top site for tickets!

I have just been informed that the tickets I purchased for my daughters 18th birthday back on the 16th February 2017 for today 18th June to see her hero Hans zimmer play along with her brother and his fiancé in Glasgow are no longer valid 4hours before the concert starts, we live in Hereford and they have driven from here to Scotland, booked return Flights for my daughter and paid for accommodation not to mention the sheer disappointment for a wasted journey after months of anticipation. Surely a simple refund and sorry in an email cannot be recompense for this unbelievable fiasco! A complete failure by viagogo to take any responsibility dispite the 'guarantee' in their website and on the info before placing my order. I am at a loss for words this is simply not right.

Bought a couple of tickets for an event from Viagogo - my first mistake. Found out that I no longer needed them, so put them up for resale.

They sold - great - but I needed to let customer service know that they should tell my seller to send them directly to my purchaser instead, as per the Viagogo emails to me.

Turns out that contacting customer service to tell them about a "problem" that you need help with automatically cancels the sale, along with putting me on the hook for purchasing new tickets for my purchaser. What? I was simply following their instructions!

So now I'm on the hook for three hundred quid worth of tickets I don't need, plus at least that to purchase the same damn tickets for the person I was selling mine to!

The transaction was never cancelled by me. IT WAS NEVER CANCELLED! I merely wanted to get in contact with Viagogo, but their appalling customer service contact forms are impossible to access without reporting a problem.

Feeling absolutely scammed by this site. A total disgrace, and this awful company needs to be shut down.

All customer service needed to do was reinstate the sale, but instead they insist on saying that everything was cancelled and that they can't do anything.

THIS WAS WITHIN ABOUT TWO MINUTES OF THE TRANSACTION BEING CANCELLED BY THEM WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE. Hardly an issue to simply put things back the way they were, but Viagogo is all about scamming their customers with all manner of ridiculous fees and costs and tricks.

WILL NEVER USE THIS SITE AGAIN, and I strongly urge others to buy their tickets elsewhere.

Now in order to recoup some of these costs, I've got to be a total $#*! and list the tickets on another site for far more than face value and turn into a scammer myself.

THE WORST PART? I HAD LISTED THE TICKETS FOR FAR LESS THAN I'D BOUGHT THEM FOR IN THE FIRST PLACE, AND HAD NO INTENTION OF EVER RESELLING AT A HIGHER PRICE.

Utterly disgusted. I feel cheated, taken advantage of, and outright scammed. It's awful, and made all the worse in the knowledge that Viagogo is set up to do this to people rather than resolving problems in a logical manner.

I was trying to buy some festival tickets, the Viagogo price seemed to be reasonable. However the high pressure tactics (clock countdown, constant notifications that there was only 2 tickets left etc) were really annoying and I should have smelt a rat.
Anyway I eventually get to the end of the process, all of which is designed to rush you through whilst adding scammy up-sells. Then comes the big scam, AFTER you enter your card details the final price is displayed. An extra £100 in fees!
So I really wanted the tickets and all the bullsh*t tactics had persuaded me that if i wanted the tickets this was the only way so I decided to suck it up and buy anyway - fortunately the Viagogo's own greed spoilt the sale - everytime I tried to enter the final 3D secure card details a stoopid notification telling me I was running out of time appeared over the 3D secure fields and I was unable to finish the purchase!

So you will be pleased to read that I was able to buy the same tickets from the official site for £150 less. No pressure tactics, no bullsh*t.

Avoid Viagogo. It is a scam of the worst sort. No morals whatsoever. I am now considering cancelling the credit card that I used as that data is now in their very greedy hands...

Fraudulent rip off
June 15, 2017

.
Event tickets 22.50 from Alban Arena; 3 tickets cost £189 on viagogo. They did not display event face value prices; they rush you into completing the purchase with a stopwatch counting down.
Customer services do not respond.
I am embarrassed to have been fooled - con trick completed.
