The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

What a rip off! Booking fee of over £40 per ticket and overpriced tickets as well. I paid over £400 for two tickets as a birthday present for my sister. Face value off the tickets is £65.
Even $#*! Turpin had the decency to wear a mask.
If this was a payday lender or financial organisation, it would be shut down.
We looked to sell several ICC tickets using viagogo. They provided all the UPS tracking details, gave us control over the tickets we were selling on a decent www site etc. Etc. We sent the tickets off in plenty of time. Then the drama started.
The listing appeared on the site and you control the prices. However a few days before the event viagogo start changing our details, our tickets were removed and given to someone else, someone else's tickets given to us etc. Etc. Shambles.
In the end our silver tickets were removed and replaced 1 gold a 3 bronze. We didn't even have these to sell. Then, these tickets sold. Whoever bought these tickets, it wasn't from us.
After several calls, emails etc etc. We had no choice but to cancel our original tickets that had been removed. I have never ever witnessed anything like this in my life.
I can fully understand how people are receiving tickets that are void. The entire viagogo process/model is broken.
Trading standards have been contacted.
Do not BUY and do not SELL.
Placed and order. They added an exorbitant servicing fee, which was not disclosed earlier. Further, they charged my account even though they were not supposed to until the tickets were purchased. Finally, no response from them, and I am going to suffer huge losses for purchasing the tickets. This site looks like a fraudulent one, and if I do not receive my refund asap, I will commence complaints with the federal trade commission in the US, and then followed by other countries.
Paid £165 per ticket to Cliff Richard show this month, tickets finally arrived cost of tickets £65. £100 just to book with them.do not use they are burglers.
Bought two tickets so they made £200 profit in one fowl swipe.
Do not use, do not use read all the reviews.
Tickets not as described. Paid £588 for 2 X gold circle early entry tickets for Depeche Mode London. Have it confirmed in writing (in a email) that the tickets I bought were gold circle. When tickets arrived they only said gold circle not early entry. Contacted Viagogo again by telephone within 72hrs before the concert (the call is disconnected if you try earlier than this) and was reassured these were the correct early entry tickets. Well of course they weren't early entry at all just as I feared which was confirmed at the venue. I have requested a refund, but so far Viagogo have failed to respond. I have had emails from them since advertising more tickets for sale and a £50 voucher to spend with them, but nothing relating to my complaint or regarding the refund request. If you look on the facebook page Victims of Viagogo you'll see just how bad Viagogo are.
How can tickets on Viagogo be 10x the price then on the actual events website. TOTAL SCAM! I paid 170 usd a ticket for seats that are sold for 27 usd.
And the company just says 'oh well' all sales are final. No control of pricing on their site and no transparency. Makes me so angry to take advantage of people like that.
Bought my ticket a month in advance of the concert. Spent above and beyond as Paramore are my all time favourite band. I was having some issues with getting the ticket and managed to email (got a vague and useless reply), as none of their phone numbers I found after ridiculous digging actually connected.
A week before the event I emailed again and got an automated reply that it was not getting through to their servers. Checked my account and it said they were having issues with my order. Sent another email, no reply. Checked my account two days before the event. Order cancelled with no call or email to notify me about this.
Terrible service, little to no customer support, hard to reach and uncommunicative staff if there even is any. 0/5 would not recommend at all.
Horrible service. They were unable to provide the tickets I have purchased and for which my credit card has been charged. I highly recommend to use other ticket agencies to avoid difficulities. Even though they offered other tickets, I still dont know if I get to go to the concert and there has been no word about refunding the price difference or the full price.
Bought tickets to see Brooks/Spence fight. Paid over £60 per ticket, plus delivery fees of £25, plus booking fees, all came to just under £200. When tickets arrived, price was £45 per ticket. I contacted viagogo to complain I'd been charged over £100 on top of ticket price and received email basically telling me I couldn't have a refund (I wasn't asking for one)and telling me they could charge what ever they wanted and it was up to the individual whether they paid it or not. Which is true, however, the extras are not clearly marked and are hefty and excessive. On the night, we spoke with others sitting with us and discovered they'd paid £45 and no extras. What a rip off. I have just bought tickets to see Jonathan Pye in Feb 2018 and paid £22.50 per ticket. With a £2.50 booking fee per ticket. I checked with viagogo, just to see, and guess what, same pop ups urging you to be quick, only 16 tickets left (what rubbish) best price is £45 per ticket, and then you'll have booking fees, delivery fees etc. This site is just a con. Avoid like the plague. It's a real shake down to get as much money out of you as possible. Daylight robbery.
Luckily, I got full refund for the two tickets I bought. I will never try any online ticketing site like Vxxx, ticketxxx... Buying tickets directly from the seller would be more reliable.
Purchased two tickets for Hans Zimmer which are noted on the order as £49.50 each plus service charge of £6.70 each total price for two should have been £112.40.
They have charged me £77.22 for each ticket, £43.87 booking fee, £5.95 handling fee & £8.77 VAT. Total price for two tickets now £213.03.
This is unforgivable and something should be done to stop this bunch of thieving racketeers.
Like so many others, I have had a terrible experience with Viagogo and would recommend anyone reading this review to avoid them at all costs. I was persuaded to use the company by the promise of a bargain ticket for the Download Festival, which I paid for just over 3 weeks before the event. Everything seemed fine at first... the transaction went through without a problem and I received a confirmation email advising me that my ticket would be available for download no later than 3 days before the event, but this turned out not to be true. 2 days before the event I still hadn't heard anything and decided to contact them to to find out what was going on. Unfortunately, this turned out to be easier said than done, as there are no contact details given on their website whatsoever (try and find them if you don't believe me).
In the end I gave up on the idea, hoping that I would hear from them the following day, which indeed, I did in the form of a second purchase confirmation identical to the first one, but with a new order number., No explanation was given, but I deduced that something had gone wrong with the original order, so they had sourced a replacement ticket. The ticket itself failed to materialize, however, and as the festival was less than 24 hours away, I realised I was going to have to speak to them no matter what. After wading through various forums on the internet and trying a number of different contact numbers, I managed to find one that worked. I was then subjected to about 25 minutes of grating hold music, before finally managing to speak to someone. To my relief, the ticket was then made available to me.
Except that when I arrived at the festival, I was told by the staff on the gate it was void because the original purchaser had obtained a refund. Cue another phone call to Viagogo and more of the terrible music. Then the real farce began... someone in the event box office kindly agreed to speak to Viagogo on my behalf and was given numbers for at least 5 other tickets, all of which were just as useless as the first one. I then demanded a refund and purchased a ticket at the box office, but it didn't end there.
The email I received confirming my money would be refunded stated that this could take up to 10 days. In the circumstances I felt this was completely unacceptable and phoned them up to have a little discussion about it (as well as to query why I had received another email on the final day of the festival advising me my tickets were ready for download). Their answer was that 10 days is how long a money transfer takes, which is strange, as the transfers I have made usually clear the same day. There are plenty more criticisms I can level at this pathetic excuse for a company, but it's late and I'm tired, so they can wait for another day. In the meantime, let me just reiterate that you use them at your peril.
I booked 2 tkts online. They asked for bank details & then tried to charge me £122.99 with the option asking "do you still want to order. Naturally I pressed the NO button. They still took my money & I then discovered there is no way to contact them. Citizens advice told me they have committed fraud. My bank has blocked the card but could not guarantee the transaction going ahead. The fraud squad said they will not get involved as I had already given my bank details! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE $#*!S!
Face value of 2 tickets = £120, cost from Viagogo £245 - do not support this company - this company is the reason why you can never buy tickets at face value cost.
Surtout évitez d'acheter des billets à travers cette compagnie... 2 X le prix du marché et aucun ticket online suite à l'achat...
My 78 year old mother bought tickets from these comments/women to see Rod Stewart in Durham. She paid double the face value. Disgusting company
Viagogo claimed the seats I was buying were "Close to the stage" - row 6 in fact! Turns out they were in the highest section in the very back row on the side... No seat could have been further from the stage. They also made no mention of the 180 EURO "service charge" on top of the ticket price until after they charged my credit card. As for the ticket price itself - it ended up being 10 times the face value of the ticket! Viagogo has perfectly combined their false and misleading selling statements with 'urgency marketing' to hook you in and then exploit you. Recommend to stay away!
Con you into thinking tickets are running out.
Overcharge you for the ticket value then slap on exorbitant fees for delivery.
Absolutely disgraceful and greed at its worst
Do not use them!
Stay away from this company. When your tickets don't arrive they won't want to know or help. They say UPS have delivered them and that's that! Even though they didn't, and have no 'proof' of them being delivered to the listed address. Viagogo state their customer guarantee on their site, but it counts for nothing and tickets aren't replaced or refunded. Alot of money paid for concert tickets that we cannot now attend. They are in breach of all sorts and shouldn't be allowed to trade. Stay away people!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
