The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.

I DO NOT recommend Viagogo! They will charge you crazy fees, steal your money and offer no reasonable explanation. Customer support is zero. I just called them, put in my order number as requested and was told to visit the website. The website offers no direct link to someone at customer support and gives me a message saying the event was 3 months ago and no support is offered, when the event was 10 days ago!
DO NOT USE VIAGOGO!
I'm really embarrassed to have fallen for these scammers. The site looks professional and tricks you in to thinking that tickets are selling out fast. When you eventually commit to paying a 'high' fee, you are then hit with a hidden additional large booking fee. I tried cancelling my order immediately, but they have so far refused. I can't believe sites like this are allowed to exist. I hope the authorities eventually catch up on these crooks.
Absolutely disgusting my husband paid over £320 for 2 ticket to see rod Stewart in shewsbury tonight travelled over 400 mile round trip to be sat right at the back could hardly see anything he also had to chase our tickets up as they didn't even arrive at time he was told never ever again will we buy off this site we'll stick to ticket master in future dont buy off these they are a rip off
SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM SCAM
They are bad business people and should be out of business!
SCAM, PLEASE STAY WAY! I bough tickes to soccer game LaLiga, last Malaga game and tickets was unvalid. I was forced to buy the tickets on arena and lost 200$, not just that. The stress and feeling fooled destroyed the weeknd.
The company advertises ticket sales but instead really say it connects buyers and sellers, an immediate get out. The computer system they use does not disclose what they will take from your account until the 'proceed' stage is clicked. Expect spurious charges, bogus VAT and you pay around 4 times the value then if you had gone to the box office. They also pretend to have tickets before they are on release. They have been summoned to answer to a UK select committee, but based in Switzerland did not turn up. In plain English they commit theft. Never use this company, ever, its cheaper to burn some dollar notes.
I cannot believe that this site is still open unbelievable paid well over the price and then added costs on before I could stop the transaction. Informed this week that they couldn't get my seats for a Rod Stewart concert this Friday 9th June. Offered poor seats (I paid £597 for 2 tickets) they have reluctantly refunded my money today (I hope) got tickets off Ticketmaster pretty good seats £125 each say no more!
We were meant to see Take That at the arena and it was rightfully postphoned, we received email to say that as it was postphoned no refund, no problem, on 31st May emailed to ask as the venue had changed did we need new tickets, reply came yesterday to say they needed our tickets returned by 5th June... they sent the email on the 6th JUNE... emailed again had no response! The reason i would say is they have SOLD on our TICKETS for a higher price... i dont want a refund not that its been offered i want to go!
Hidden costs! Book a ticket for Evanescence only too realise that the cost was almost double after service fees. You are told about those fees after the payment is done! They even charged shipping for self-print e-ticket!
I bought tickets for French Open recently. At the time of purchase, the listing price and the final price were completely different because "hidden costs" were added last minute. Now we can't go for the event because of an exigency and the website has stooped to the lowest levels of misbehavior! While the website clearly says no charges for resale of tickets bought on Viagogo we got charged a large amount to list the tickets for resale. The website AFTER charging for the listing is not approving the listing apparently because of "lack of evidence." We have uploaded the tickets and the emails received from the website but there is no change. So we have been scammed into spending more good money after bad, and are still unable to sell the tickets. The website has no email address or customer service contact so there is no recourse. It is a complete and well-thought out way of scamming people out of their hard earned money. The matches we were going for are on 9th June. If anyone has had a similar incident and managed to get out of it somehow, please do help. Would really appreciate the advice. For everyone else, would advise you to stay far away from this website!
I purchased tickets for tonight's Robbie Williams concert in Southampton. The tickets were not delivered and when i contacted them (they hide their phone number) they confirmed the tickets have been lost in transit and because there aren't any other tickets available they will refund me. They told me 'it wasn't their fault" and that's all they could do. When i asked to speak to the supervisor I was put on hold until the phone went dead. I am not often moved to write a poor review but this takes the biscuit! I will NEVER use viagogo again. My overall rating is very definitely a 0.
1) 4 tickets "bought" online for £90
2) press the buy button and £30 VAT and "handling fees" now added.
3) a deliberately constructed obscure website
4) no easily method of contacting them, even my credit card company couldn't
5) contact venue to find that £90 tickets (+ £30 VAT and handling) are actually £43
6) much correspondence is met with well rehearsed unhelpful bland statements
7) Try to sell back £500 tickets "now worth £320" and if don't sell I'm stuck
8) Internet lights up with similar experience from others.
9) They know what they are doing, they are deliberately obfuscating via website, customer service is a sentence offered but not believed.
10) Whilst they are certainly guilty of sharp practice they are also knowingly morally corrupt and would even suggest comes under the wider definition of a scam. Warn others...
I used viagogo to purchase summertime ball tickets, I found the tickets I wanted purchased them only to discover that the booking fee cost as much as the tickets, which might I add wasn't shown until I had completed the sale! I had purchased 4 tickets costing almost £800 for standard seating, face value of around £80... I then decide to try and resell due to the cost, I completed the form opting to not separate the tickets and either sell all 4 or none, I then received an email from viagogo saying 2 of the tickets had sold- that I had to confirm the sale- if I didn't I would be charged a replacement fee, other charge and/consequences, so I confirmed and I then emailed to state what had happened with the tickets being split, to which I received an email saying I hadn't confirmed sale and was therefore liable for charges, I replied stating I had received an email stating I still had 2 tickets left to sell and on their website it stated, logged in on the sell section, order confirmed which I had screenshot for proof... I then emailed them regarding all my issues to have no reply! I'm absolutely appalled at the way they do business, make threats of charges should you not follow instructions, conflicting information/emails and completely over charge people not making 'fees' at all clear! Bearing in mind the event is in 4 days time and I still haven't even received the tickets to either go to or to sell on!
Theft - deception - fraud are criminal offences - so perhaps trading standards need to start investigating this complete and utter fraudulent company - they may be protected by being abroad but if enough of you report them to trading standards then they can engage Police and then Interpol and this will get them shut down so let's get cracking I am on the phone tommorow starting my case so come on people get Trading standard involved and stop feeding the beast
Paid £297 for two tickets received them today, £62 tickets paid £173 over the top. This company are thieves stay well away from this site.
Can anyone point me in the right direction, I was sold tickets for £599 for two last Nov for guns n roses I only recived the tickets today and on them they say £85 a ticket. Email get you know where and the number they give you is Switzerland. Is there a Num in the U. K or a complaint procedure I can go through?
You cant say last four tickets in any other medium if it isnt true - so how can you have it on a ticket site when it isnt true. This is scam site BEWARE
This company is an absolute rip off! They use the dirtiest tactics to sell you tickets. They offered a discount to be applied at the end of purchase which you do not get and when final purchases are made your charged with hidden charges that increase your final cost over the top. Avoid this seller/website they are touts online. Viagogo you are dishonest thieves!
Viagogo was the first site that popped up when I went to search for rugby tickets. The website made it out to be as if all the tickets were nearly sold out which is completely untrue. Then they charged an exorbitant price with extra fees at the end of it. They made it unclear that the tickets were children's tickets which made them unusable. Then it has been extremely difficult to try and contact them to try and sort the issue.
THIS WEBSITE NEEDS INVESTIGATING. JUST PAID 208 POUNDS FOR WHAT SHOULD HAVE COST 120. THE CHARGES WERE NEVER SHOWN UNTIL AFTER THE CONFIRM BUTTON.
HOW IS THIS COMPANY CONTINUING TO TRADE.!
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
