We went to a huge music concert for a big name band last night. Bought the tickets through viagogo a couple of weeks ago and then read the terrible reviews. The cheapest tickets to the concert from the mainstream seller were $65 - we got ours for $22 each. The only downside was the hefty fee they slug you at check out, but even including this fee, they were half the cheapest price. The tickets were immediately emailed to us, got us in to the concert no trouble and were exactly the seats we had booked.
Do not deal with this company. I am out over $3400 because of them. I bought BTS tickets for tonight at the Prudential Center on May 5th for my daughters 18th birthday. We still do not have the tickets and had to buy new tickets to ensure our daughter would be able to attend. The customer service person was no help and will not do anything to make this right. The tickets were to be available by 9/27 at the latest. They still are not available. We will be taking legal action.
So first they cancelled one sale without telling me. It is only after I informed them that there would be a delay in shipping tickets that they informed me! Otherwise the tickets would have been sent as agreed.
Then they cancelled a sale on me prior to the agreed shipping date and charged me £20. Fortunately I managed
Then they cancelled a sale on me 3 DAYS AFTER the buyer had received the tickets! And they charged me £20 on top of sending the buyer a second ticket and refused to let me contact him to recover the tickets.
This was all in the space of 8 days.
Numerous complaints have got me nowhere and they make a point of making it as difficult as possible to contact them. There are no contact details on the website other than an address in Switzerland which they state will take 14 days for any mail to reach them. Currently going through small claims court...
Bandits. Mis-information after trying to download my Tickets. Wrong name on tickets. Information on tickets completely wrong. Emailed them dozens on times... Answers from them complete rubbish. Nothing done... Scammers... Do not go near this website... Gangsters..
Viagogo ripped me off, like it has ripped off so many other people. The tickets I bought turned out to be WAY more expensive than what I thought. I don't care what fine print gets them off the hook legally.
I bought tickets from this website since it was one of the top results in a google search. At the checkout they slapped close to $100 in additional charges to the ticket prices. After receiving the tickets I saw the price I paid per ticket (excluding the additional fees) were double the normal ticket price and were seated in a bad location. I searched again on the web and found out the tickets were still being sold by the venue at their normal price. I made the mistake of trusting that a top google search website is legitimate. Avoid making my same mistake and avoid this website
I purchased tickets only to find when I had entered my card details the booking fee was as much as the tickets but was no where to be seen until I had paid. I also have a friend who was ripped off in the same way. Never use this site for tickets. Neither of us have yet received the tickets we have paid for
They took my money and didn't deliver. Unless you count heartbreak and disappointment. To be fair not all of this is their fault. Pink had to postpone our show for over a year and the email account i used to order the tickets was taken down after i lost my job.
When i reached out to customer service two months before the show to resolve the issue I was repeatedly told that the tickets would be delivered without a problem. The closer to the rescheduled date the more nervous i became. They continued to reassure me that the problem would be resolved.
Until the day before the show when i was finally told that there was no way for them to resolve the issue and that i was out of my money and the tickets.
When I demanded a refund I was told that was not going to happen and the call was disconnected.
Please do not trust Viagogo. They are nothing but liars and thieves.
I bought tickets 600% over the actual value of the tickets.
They tell you it is fast selling, but it is not true.
If you would like tickets for any event rather contact the locals and ask them where you can buy tickets at fair and at a honest price.
Bought three tickets to the US Open Final through Viagogo and strongly recommend that you don't us this site. They stated on there site was these were not cheapest ticket available which is not true, a day later I found ticket in the same section row for almost 600 less. They added a hidden fee of more then 1000 dollars on top of shipping and marking up tickets a few hundred each (for what I have no idea). After they rip you off there is no way to talk with them, and you learn all sales are final (not previously mentioned on the app in any kind of visible way)! They can fight with my credit card company, they are totally a predatory site. If you looking for US OPEN tennis tickets recommend using other sites that don't do huge mark up and hidden fee's (stub hub, Ticket Liquidator, etc). I be reporting this site to the BBB and a life long negative promoter while there still in business.
I wanted to go to an ice hockey game in Edmonton and bought the tickets one evening before the event. They didn't send the tickets even if I contacted them twice. They didn't really help me and I paid for nothing. I looked in all my e-mail folders and I am very sure that there was no other e-mail. I was just lucky that the staff from Edmonton Oilers was very kind, but they didn't cooperate with viagogo!
So better don't use viagogo...
I would give 0 stars if I could! Ordered tickets for a cricket match and according to our online account those tickets should have been sent out by May 31 at the latest. Today is June 4 and no tickets in sight. Calling them results in them claiming they are having problems with UpS, then claiming they don't have a tracking number, then they refuse to give us any information. They also refuse to put us through to a manager, sometimes claiming they don't have managers, sometimes saying the managers are busy, sometimes staying they are not allowed to put us through. They haven't even suggested to refund the money, an absolute scam!
Absolutely do not sell your tickets through them!
We made the mistake of selling concert tickets through them over A MONTH AGO and have yet to recieve a single dime from it. First it was bc they give the buyer time to say if the tickets were authentic, then FOUR days after the concert took place they said the money was sent and it can take seven business days to get it. Now it's been weeks since this concert and we have heard nothing they have no customer service line so all you can do is email. They owe me $2600 and there is nothing I can do but hope it actually shows up! Do not make the same mistake I did! Use a well-known site like stubhub and dont get $#*!ed over.
I wanted to surprise my wife during an upcoming trip to Leeds an noticed Andre Rieu was in town when we were there. I googled the tour and it came up with viagogo. I assumed this was the official ticket seller and proceeded to purchase tickets. What a rip off! I ended up paying over £500 for 3 tickets. They were advertised as £123 each but actually turned out to be £80 tickets, they added what appears to be a random VAT cost (not 20%) and a massive £105 booking fee! So I ended up paying £250 over the top for three tickets. After I had booked them I realised I had not gone to the official ticket sales site and checked there and found all the tickets were still available for face value! It true rip off style, when I realised my mistake there was no was to get my money back. Watch out - this site is a complete rip off!
Absolutely wonderful and seamless experience from viagogo team. Booked tickets to two world cup games at the last minute, and the delivery was quick and efficient, a couple of days prior to the date promised. The experience at the stadium was pretty awesome too,,, so absolutely loved Viagogo.
Keep up the great job guys!
Bought three VIP tickets for a Paul Simon concert in Hyde Park. I made it clear that this are paper tickets due to arrive with me a week before (so, 5 working days) and could not be sent till I had them. I only now find out they sold one to a woman in Brazil. As she's clearly leaving Brazil at least a day or two before the concert this means I have to get them to Brazil from UK in three working days. If they don't arrive I have to pay for another ticket for the woman.
So this poor woman in Brazil doesn't get her ticket and I will lose the money from the tickets AND have to pay for replacements for her.
Their customer service is some sort of robot called Yash. I have emailed three times and each time they respond with a totally unrelated generic set response.
I don't care what they demand I am never giving them a penny.
Just a bunch of crooks. Now I only have a week to sell my tickets to someone who can actually use them.
I bought from them a ticket to a concert, only to find out later that the location is change (i found out this info in 1 min by calling he location because something seemed off). They couldn t bother to do it
In the end i t was a whole hassle for which i paid a lot of money
Dont recommend
Right guys I think all of us that have been ripped off should join forces and see if we can do something about these ripoff creeps with no scruples! A New Zealand consumer watchdog tv show called Fairgo have contacted me. I suggest others get in touch and tell them their story!
I bought two tickets for the Horse Show in Dublin. I thought I was buying from the official site but Viagogo appeared on the tickets. I was rushing at the time. I paid over double the odds for two seats which basically did not exist. The tickets were only general admission even though they showed seat numbers, We were soaked in the standing area. Steer well clear!
Hi bought my daughter tickets to 21 pilots brisbane
Not only did I get charged huge fees thectickets were $81 each. I ended up paying twice that on this web site
Even the ticket came to me at $80i feel so cheated
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.
