Tickets for an event bought by my daughter as a Christmas present to me, I could buy same tickets day of the event, rugby game, and she has paid just short of 180 pound for 2 X £30 tickets. Three times face value. Could understand if event was sold out but this is just ripping off those who do not have an understanding of ticket prices.
Standard response to each of my queries. Paid more than 4 x the price for Dixie chick tickets in new Zealand. I will never receive them so had to buy more from legit site. Google, you need to remove them from your search engine as they are scam artists. So sad.
I bought three tickets via Viagogo. Tickets were selling out fast and I failed to spot all the hidden costs. Just to give you a flavor of what I am talking about, I was supposed to pay £237.45 for 3 tickets (£79.15 each), to which they added £65.98 booking fee, VAT £13.20 and "secure ticket delivery" for an additional £10.36.
I paid £326.99 in total for 3 tickets@ £79.15. I will never EVER use Viagogo again, will let everyone I deal with know about this and will spread HONEST reviews until my fingers can't tap anymore.
Paid £177.00 for 2 tickets to see David Byrne in Manchester. At the door our tickets were scanned and had been used before. Checked with the box office and informed that this happens all the time with Viagogo. A three hour round trip, car parking charges and no concert. Absolutely furious.
Two tickets were £77 each. When downloaded they were face value of £45 each. But what really pisses me off is that they added £45.68 for booking fee and £6 shipping (there was no shipping). An undisclosed cost. The total came to over £200. Withholding extra charges is illegal un the UK. International action against them MUST happen. Or what is the point of having laws?.
Rip off merchants. I will never go near this bunch of thieving, immoral b******ds again.
To add insult to injury my tickets were (eventually) sent to a pick up point 90 miles from my home. Service doesn't get much worse than this.
Viagogo is resale platform so can't blame them when seller asks a price 10 times original. But for hard to get ticket such as copa del Rey final, viagogo does it's best to ensure authentic ticket with timely delivery. They set up a pick up location right next to the stadium. Really convenient, really smart!
Viagogo just do not want to know. I am 69 years old and thought concession meant just that but I mistakenly bought child tickets for tennis ATP finals, Weeks of email and automated phone calls. They were only concerned in confirming that I made the mistake but no aid or customer help at all. Just told to resell on their sight. Also I did not realise these were resale tickets already. Just people buying and selling for profit. I can ill afford to lose £122 but I can warn others to be careful and avoid this website
Just received a casual email from Chloe of Viagogo telling me that the tickets they sold me are not actually available. Yes they say they'll give me a refund. Great. What they won't refund is the flights and hotels I've also booked.
So they took my money for 2 months for tickets they had no right to sell, then 2 weeks before the gig, way too late to make other arrangements, they finally come clean and admit they never had any tickets to sell.
Please stay well away from this company. Don't make an expensive mistake like I did.
Avoid what happened to me and many others. I bought two tickets to see the Rolling Stones in Cardiff, ticket face value £59.95. Viagogo price after adding their "fees" right at the end of the transaction in a totally underhand manner was £130. I feel such a fool, cheated, and ashamed that this can happen to anyone in this country of ours. Dreadful shameful company who bring discredit to online selling. Avoid them please.
Deceive customers by scaring you believing that there is an extreme uncertainty about the quantity of tickets and availability.
You have to finish your order in said specific time.
Prices keep increasing
Unexpected service fees that are 50% of the ticket
Traveling in Vienna from Canada. Found out last minute one of my favorite bands, Deep Purple, was playing tonight. Bought the e-ticket, walked almost an hour to get to the venue just in time. Just to find our my ticket was no good. Customer service even had my ticket on a list saying so?! What a shame. That this company has a 1 star review, problems with buyers all the time. And is allowed to still operate?!
Placed and order. They added an exorbitant servicing fee, which was not disclosed earlier. Further, they charged my account even though they were not supposed to until the tickets were purchased. Finally, no response from them, and I am going to suffer huge losses for purchasing the tickets. This site looks like a fraudulent one, and if I do not receive my refund asap, I will commence complaints with the federal trade commission in the US, and then followed by other countries.
This site is very very dodgy and I will never use it again and dont recommend anyone use it. While we got into the venue we know of 5 people that night who were refused entry because the tickets had already been scanned. Pre-warned we turned up before the gates opened to be sure of getting in but even then we were anxious the whole time. Tbe booking fee was outrageous too. I reported them to the ACC who responded that they are already under investigation. Avoid!
Bought some Human Nature tickets & only after you hit the pay button do you get hit with all the fees. Which totalled about $86.00 plus could have bought tickets on another site heaps cheaper! Not a happy customer & tickets dont come until 3 days before event so what if the post is late! Should have done our homework first!
Blink 182 - Prague
We have received emails that the concert has been postponed and wait for update. My friend who bought their tickets outside of viagogo received no such information. I called the venue and they said everything is going according to schedule. What probably has happened is that they sold duplicate tickets and were hoping that some people may not show up thinking the show is off. We still got our tickets but we will have to be there early to go in before someone else scans the same ticket.
Worst experience buying a ticket. After researching dozens of tickets on several sites, I had the misfortune to use Viagogo. I chose ticket based on arena map. Boy, was I screwed. Map was wrong, ticket is behind stage. Two emails later, it appears they have an automated customer service with generic responses. First, "yes, you received the ticket you ordered", then "if you're not happy with ticket, feel free to relist". NEVER do business with Viagogo, unless you can afford to waste your money.
Don't buy from this lot. Its a complete rip off. The amount you pay isn't fully displayed until you purchase. You are pressured into buying by getting messages saying only so many tickets left. I ended up going to the official vendor afterwards and their was still tickets left. The only way of getting a refund is through reselling your ticket and they take a percentage of that as well. Will never use this site again. Save yourself the grief and don't use them.
This website is scum. They use hacking software to clean out legitimate ticket websites of tickets. Then they sell them at 3-4 times the original price, or more. If this isn't bad enough they then sell the same tickets to multiple people, so many people get refused at the gates. This company is pure scum, anyone who works for the company is doing the devils work, and should be ashamed to the core. Evil owners are sitting in a fat mansion, living the high life off decent peoples hard earned cashed, shame on them. They would rob they're own grandmothers. One day karma will catch up with them.
Bought a ticket for Neil Young at O2 for twice the ticket's face value. The gig was then cancelled by the band. I only found out the night before when I was researching parking on the O2 website. I immediately contacted Viagogo (no telephone number given on their website) by email. No response. I emailed them again and was told that my ticket was not returned to them in time and there would be no refund. I have lost £110. Don't use this site. They are registered in Switzerland so not regulated by Trading Standards. There are literally dozens of people posting on message sites who have lost hundreds of pounds with them.
Answer: My tickets were real but I was scared the person whose name was on the ticket would turn up with id. A R600 ticket the price on the ticket which we were not told ended up being twice that. Would I use them again? NO
Answer: So frustrated surely there must be something we can do, surely this is not legal?
Answer: For is it was a total con. They showed prices in HK dollars and then charged in US dollars. We paid $4000 US dollars for two Madonna tickets. There's literally no phone number on their site and it's impossible to get in touch with customer service. Don't buy tickets here. You'll be sorry. They even charged us $500 for a service fee. Really insane!
Answer: Hi Bryan! Viagogo is a ticket marketplace that allows individuals to buy and sell tickets for live events. Once you purchase with viagogo you are covered by our guarantee: http://www.viagogo.co.uk/landingpage/1044610 Kind regards, Ana
Answer: No they don't. I will never ever make any purchase frm viagogo and I will warn you not to. They deducted my money from my back without my acknowledgement in Dec and guess what, I received the same email frm them that they will be deducting the amount from my bank again due to me not able to produce the ticket. My reason is that event organiser close down my seating section. Ended up have to go thru my bank to get the money back from them. They are the worst.
Answer: If in doubt, always try and pay by credit card so have a certain amount of protection/insurance. There's a lot of fraudulent ticket sales going on all over at the moment, so do your homework, read reviews and always use a secure method of payment if you decide to proceed.
The company's reputation is significantly marred by a consistent pattern of customer dissatisfaction, primarily due to issues related to ticket availability, inflated pricing, and inadequate customer service. Customers frequently report receiving invalid tickets, last-minute notifications, and a lack of effective support when seeking refunds or resolution. While some users may have had positive experiences, these are overshadowed by widespread claims of fraud and poor service. The overall sentiment reflects a strong caution against using the platform, highlighting a pressing need for improved transparency and customer support to rebuild trust.
