They claim to give you actually certificates when in actuality it's an application for the certificates which are free! They charged me 47 dollars and I now have to dispute this with my bank just to get a refund because there is no live person to talk to! Just a run around! People do research before you pay for anything online! Contact the health department in the city which you need to obtain any such documents!
USVitalrecords.org I believe is a large scam, they have no response to phone calls, won't accept e-mails, to which the say is customer service site you can only leave a message with no call back as stated. I am going to start fraud claims with my credit card bank today.
Go to YOUR state's vital records they will charge a LOT less, period! It was asking me to pay $93.87 for ONE certified birth certificate copy PLUS $10.00 if you want it rushed. If you want free regular mail it would take one day short of the "rush" delivery. It cost me only $43 total from my state's website.
I filled out their form. They followed with an email stating I supplied incorrect information and left a number for a call back. I called back and left a voice mail. No response to the voice mail. So, I sent an email cancelling. Then I received an email that stating that I would be charged $89.87 because: "we are a service oriented business committed to the highest quality in customer service. We cannot provide refunds or cancel an order for any of our services as all vital record orders are reviewed and processed upon receipt." Caveat emptor! Stay away from this place.
This company thrives through the small print. I ordered a birth certificate for almost $50.00. A few days later, the emailed me a completed form (the same one in turns out that the state's Dept. if Vital Statistics uses) with instructions to mail it to the state, and pay them!$25.00. I spent $50 for them to complete a form?!? It is my fault for not reading all the small print. But they clearly make it difficult to see what a scam they are.
Hello Virginia,
We are sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations. We take several measures to ensure the public is aware that we are a private company which assists in the application process of acquiring vital records.
We also let the public know that vital certificates and forms may be ordered from the relevant government agency for free or a lesser cost. We place this in the Disclaimer on every page of our website prior to reaching the ordering screen, so the public can review this information and make an informed decision.
When the client applies with our company, they must complete the Verify Order section. Within this section we once again inform the public in Step 1, that we are not operated, licensed, or affiliated with any government agency. Prior to submission of their order, the customer is required to type their full name, which constitutes a signature, verifying they agree to our terms. Once again, we place this information in full view of the client so they may make an informed decision.
Hooray for this company! I was able to get a certified copy of my birth certificate. My case was a closed adoption and had lost the original certificate. About three weeks later, I got it in the mail! I'm thrilled! I read the complains on this page and though I'd lost my money... I highly recommend them! Thanks US Vital Records! One happy customer here!
I am into month 5 on waiting for a copy of a death certificate. The company keeps telling me that it will be here next week and when next week comes - there is still no certificate!
The response is nonsense; they do absolutely nothing for this fee. Anyone can get an online application from state vital records. That is what they supply, for $39. To reiterate, this is a scam site, in my opinion and based on my contact.
Hello Blaine,
As stated on our website, we are a private online processing company with over 12 years’ experience serving 46 US states. Over a quarter million people have trusted us with their vital record orders because we focus on quality customer service and work hard to ensure the accuracy and successful delivery of certificates.
Yes, you are correct that anyone can apply directly through the government. We actual state this on ever page of our application, as well as a big bright red box prior to the client submitting their application. We inform everyone that Vital certificates and forms may be ordered from the relevant government agency for free or a lesser cost. We are an online service that is open to the legal profession and general public to obtain original certified copies of state vital records. As such, the online processing fee for our company is for the cost of providing a secure online ordering service, expert assistance and thorough review of all pertinent information to ensure compliance with government rules and regulations.
As stated in earlier correspondence, we welcome you to contact our office to discuss this further to ensure that you are in fact a client of ours.
This appears to me to be a scam. I want my money refunded but there is no contact information. It was represented the fee was to get the document, not have it sent to the state, so I can apply and pay the state. This company needs a lawsuit.
This is a scam. They charged me $59 for a copy of my daughter's birth certificate. Come to find that they then sent an email with the information to order it from the state, including the cost for the certificate through the state. I literally spent $59 for nothing. I will be disputing their charge and turning them in. Hopefully you're reading these before you let them scam you, too.
Dealing with this is a reminder to research a company before dealing with them and giving them your money. I ordered a birth certificate oct 2016... its march 2017 and have received nothing. They immediately took my money, said it didn't arrive due to more info needed. The info needed was provided, and still nothing. They do not respond to emails or call you back, and when you call customer service they don't connect you to anyone, only option is to leave a message for them to contact you back. They also make it clear when you call that they do not provide refunds, so you are just basically getting ripped off. If you need a birth certificate, don't use this company, just contact the state you need it from and save yourself time and lots of money. Very disappointed that this can happen!
Hello Emily.
We are sorry to hear of your negative experience.
Customer Service is our top priority, as such we return all telephone messages and correspondence in the order they are received. As well as we inform our clients of all the steps and safety measures they need to perform before their certificate is issued, such as the State's Issuing Agency may require you to submit identification for verification purposes. Our office does not handle the identification process, so clients must follow any emailed instructions received by the State's Issuing Agency about how to submit their identification. If the client has not returned this form, their order is on hold until they verify their identity with the State Issuing Agency. We would be happy to take a look further into this for you. Please contact our Customer Service Department at the following email address so we may contact you directly.

This agency seems as if they will follow through with what you purchase but that is so far from the truth. I needed my birth certificate in order to renew my id and I misplaced my b. C. and followed through with this agency usvitalrecords.org to have a new one sent to me, I paid $115 or probably a few more dollars more and they kept asking for my current id after I stated it's expired and that's why I'm requesting my b. C., they kept with the run around until they stated that they are closing my order. I then asked for a refund and they stated they do not refund your money at any time even though I didn't receive anything but loss money and time. This is a full scam and do not attempt to waste your money. I'm over 70 and was basically robbed, so sad.
Ordered a Birth Certificate on Feb 21st and we still do not have it on March 29th.
They had numerous issues with transplanting the last name in to the middle name field (something wrong with their crappy mobile site).
They pass the buck to a service called VitalChek which is pretty much the worst service I've ever used. Terrible customer service. We spoke to them numerous times and have to keep sending them the same information and pictures of documents over and over and after a few days we always get an emails saying "Further info Required".
Also their customer service takes over 30 minutes to answer the line.
In Virginia I found that you can just go to the DMV to get your Birth Certificate for only about $20. We will go there instead.
I requested my daughters birth certificate in July. It's now the middle of September! I was unable to contact anyone to update me on the status of my order because their voicemail box is full. Now I'm concerned that I have been ripped off and will never receive my document. Do not use this company!
Hello Amy.
We would be more than happy to look into this matter for you and see if you have in fact requested with our company. Our voicemail is never full, and we do offer a variety of ways to contact us. Customer Service is our top priority so whether it is by email, live agents or voicemail, should our agents already be assisting other clients, we are there for you. Perhaps you have an incorrect number or you have attempted to contact another company. Either way, we would be happy to try to assist you with your concern.

I needed my birth certificate for legal issues and I thought I went to the correct website but when I saw the charge of 125 dollars I found it odd. After putting in my order I realized I made a big mistake, this company now has all my personal information which they will sell to other companies And there is nothing I can do. Please read carefully and search thoroughly these companies must be held accountable.
Hello Ed,

When the client applies with our company, they must complete the Verify Order section. Within this section, the client must agree to all the provisions we have outlined and type their name in agreement that they have read and agree to the terms.
Once again we take the privacy of our client's information very seriously. We do not sell the client's information to other companies. USVitalRecords.org has security measures in place to prevent against risks such as unauthorized access, collection, use, disclosure, copying modification and disposal of personal information. These security measures include appropriate physical, electronic, and management procedures to ensure the safety and protection of your personal information.
But yeah, total fraud. I didn't realize the charge would be $59 until it hit my bank account and I decided to look up reviews only to find this. My fault for not checking first, hopefully I'll be able to reverse the charge.
They do nothing but steel you money don't use them, they are a fraud I talked to customer service and they think it's funny that they ripped me off. They said " you should have read in our website that we do not provide a service"
I paid for 2 death certificates for genealogical documentation in the middle of June. My payments were negotiated via m credit card immediately. By the end of September, when no documents were sent, I called and I emailed, only to have no reply. When I called, I was on hold for over 45 minutes each time. When I emailed with order numbers (several times), I received no reply at all. My credit card company refunded my money, but would have preferred the death certificates. I ordered them through Archives.com and they were unable to contact the company, either.
I ordered copies of birth certificates and have nothing. This is a scam! Getting in touch with the organization seems impossible. Now I see people saying it takes time, that is rediculous for a service like this.
Hello Deborah,
We would be happy to look into your order for you and acquire a status update. Our live agents are available Monday - Friday from 9 am-5pm EST. If all the live agents are assisting clients, you will be prompted to leave a voicemail. All calls are returned in the order in which they are received and we strive to maintain a 24 hour response time. We also welcome you to submit a status request on our Contact Us page. When we have all the information we will be able to search and see if all information has been received and you have submitted your ID verification if applicable.

We sent them $59.00 to get my wife's birth certificate. They in turn sent us and application to fill out and mail in to the state with a check for $22.00 to get the birth certificate. We could have done that without any help from this Korean owned company that takes your money then either subs to someone else or sends you a do it yourself.
I realize the print at the bottom of their website says no refunds but they didn't do anything! If you are trying to get a marriage certificate in the state of Utah just start calling county clerks. For $5.00 I got a certified copy mailed to me and it took me about 15 minutes on the phone. (I was married in one county but got the license in another. You need to get it from the county where you got the license and not where you were married.)
Answer: As most of you, I am trying to get a certified copy of my birth certificate. I emailed US Vital Records and received a phone number for California Dept. of Public Health (916) 445-2684. It turns out that the US Vital Records is a third party and it sounds like I can go directly through (my birth state Dept of Public Health. The lady told me where to go on the website https://www.cdph.ca.gov/certlic/birthdeathmar/Pages/default.aspx. Keep in mind I was born in California. You need to find the site for your state. Submit the application, $25 payment and a self addressed stamped envelope. And gave me the address for the California office. I hope this was helpful.
Answer: Hello Linda, Vital US Bandalona is not our company. We are not affiliated with this company and unfortunately do not have any contact information for them. You may need to search for the company further on the internet or contact your financial institution as they may have a contact number for the charge to your account.
Answer: I paid $47 to get said forms and have been waiting on my birth certificate for more than 8 weeks! My states public health dept. sent the application back stating that I didn't include $25 fee. I paid a total of $72 and I'm still waiting for my bc. Huge scam
