The overall reputation of UPS is marred by significant concerns regarding service reliability and customer support. Many customers report frequent delays in package delivery, errors in shipping, and inadequate responsiveness from customer service representatives. Complaints highlight issues with lost packages, unfulfilled delivery promises, and a lack of accountability, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. While some customers acknowledge the company's long-standing presence in the industry, the prevailing sentiment is overwhelmingly negative, with calls for improved communication and service efficiency. This feedback suggests that UPS must urgently address operational shortcomings to restore customer trust and satisfaction.

UPS delivered a package to the wrong address a few days ago. I immediately called customer service and it took way too long to explain and repeat the purpose for my call. I asked that they contact the driver to come back for it. The rep said someone would call me in an hour. That was four days ago. The package is still on my doorstep. UPS makes enough money to have SOME competent customer service agents. It's a waste of money paying people who customers cannot communicate with and end up frustrated. That's how you lose customers.
Driver literally knocked, left a we missed you note and drove away! We were home waiting for package and the driver didn't wait for us to answer the door! We chased him down the driveway and he just drove away! DO NOT USE UPS, EVER!
Was standing outside my house waiting to accept this package and the driver drove off. Really sucked cause I needed the package that day and I won't receive it until tomorrow
My driver dumps my packages in my driveway on the other side of my house. He doesn't even knock on my door to let me know they are there. Today 3 packages in driveway. I live on the corner of 2 busy streets where my driveway is open to everyone. This happens repeatedly. One day the driver was carrying a heavy package up my drive. When he saw me, he dumped the package in the middle of the drive and went back for a second package (which he dumped in my driveway. I have tried to get in touch with UPS about this problem, but that is impossible. Tell this lazy person to knock and at least let me know the packages are there and I can get someone to move them. I am an elderly woman and usually cannot move them myself.
I loss my all the time just because the lasy ups guy don't want work, 185 NW 13 Ave Miami Fl ******* do you job or find another one, check your employers UPS, the building have mailroom with mail box with keys and they never use, I can't walk in the instructions I said leave front my door, just leave there in the floor in the mailroom they don't care,
$#*! service. Sent parcel, it was delivered to local shop probably because they can't be bothered to deliver door 2 door, I done call, request to deliver again, they call me that the delivery driver could find my parcel in the lockable shop, and they said don't worry we will tray again in few days and your parcel will be there. So I cancel all this nightmare and sent to my customer another parcel by Hermes. The other I requested to deliver to me back to sender. After one week still nothing. Can't apply for claim its showing me mistake, and robotic idiots who is working on customer service can't help. *******@king nightmare
Every package that I get that is sent through UPS is somehow smashed AND opened AND late. Careless..
Worse company to order supplies and understand their customer service people. Won't be ordering again! I ordered 2 boxes of Bubble Wrap Rolls and they sent me 2 boxes of Bubble Wrap Envelopes! Apparently they don't sell the Bubble Wrap in Rolls but they didn't tell me that, instead they just sent me the envelopes. I talk to customer service and they are ALWAYS putting me on hold during the conversation to go talk to someone else. Poor service all around. Never again.
I made an order on Wednesday. It was out for delivery on Thursday. But then, by the end of the day, they say they couldn't get my buzzer code from the Building's Directory and didn't think it was a good idea to CALL me to ask it. Okay, called them and asked to include the buzzer code. Thought they would surely deliver it on Friday. No. Instead, they took the WHOLE day to update my address. It made me miss the Mother's Day gift because they couldn't simply include the buzzer code and deliver it. Now, on Monday, they don't even have a delivery estimate on the tracking. I called them and they said it takes 2 business days to update the address. It means they'll actually deliver it on Tuesday. Really? How bad can this company be? Taking 2 business days to include a buzzer number and deliver from Richmond to Burnaby?
Screwed up my package I hate ups. They suck fat blm balls... screw ups just ruined my whole weekend...
I can't believe their customer service by phone. I had two different occasions where a manger lied to me and now another. Lost $9,000! Because of them!
The worst courier service I've ever used, difficult to contact, takes long time to deliver and one's my parcel arrived (after 3 weeks of waiting) few items were broke beyond repair. When I called to complain I was told I'll be contacted within 24 hours, but never heard anything back. For a worldwide company I'm extremely disappointed and would NOT recommend it!
Beware, when shipping with UPS, if they lose your package you'll be responsible to replace it yourself. I shipped a package with contents valued at $683.00. I did not purchase insurance and didn't see there was a tiny box where you write in the declared value of the package. Regardless of all of this, UPS is still fully responsible for losing my package. They scanned it when they picked it up and it hasn't been seen since. They did an investigation and could not locate the package. I received notification to my email address, in my name, to file a claim. I completed all the paperwork in my name, including a PayPal receipt from the company I purchased from, also in my name! Rather than fly home with this package I chose to ship it to my home address using my approved employer's shipping account. The shipping label had me listed as the sender and the receiver. Why is all of this important? After filing the claim I was notified it was settled, I received a claim number directly to my email address in my name. After not receiving a check for over a week, I inquired, I was told they sent the check to my employers address in the amount of $100.00 made out to my employer! My employer has 50 locations throughout the US and over 10,000 employees. Imagine a company that only deals with shipping, loses your package and then doesn't want to make good on it? I should not have to purchase insurance to ensure that they do their job, it's what they do, they ship packages! I supplied photos of the product I shipped along with dated, itemized receipt and they decided they would reimburse me $100.00 and then didn't even send the check to the person they have had all correspondence with! Does your dealership ask you if you want to purchase insurance or what you value your vehicle at in case our technician doesn't know how to do his job? Of course not! Why? Because it's what they do, it is their business! They agreed they lost the package, I provided the proof of the contents and the cost of the contents, and they still don't want to pay! I'm absolutely outraged that a company such as this can get away with this! Absolute theft!
This company is not trustworthy, they do not honour their money back guarantee they published on their website.
I spent hours speaking to their staff over the phone because each of them transferred me to "another department" because they are not the right department.
I used the UPS service before and the issue I had with them was the deliver date kept slipping back.
Now, I purchased two items for $39.10 together with the additional $25 shipping for UPS service. Then they billed me another $29.03 for import fees. Do not use UPS, they just keep taking more money out of your wallet.
Worst delivery company never on time always making excuses why my package is not on time lazy drivers that don't want to do there job!
I never had much to say about UPS other than what you'd expect to hear from an average online shopper. My household averages about 2-3 items per day so, we have a high frequency of drops throughout the day. I have come to appreciate how much the drivers have to deal with, so I highly doubt my gripe is with the "normal" driver for my route. UPS delivered a very sensitive package with (firearms parts) and the contents where very very expensive. According to the driver for a Saturday delivery, it was delivered to a "locker" which my property does not have. None of the apartments in the area have shipping lockers, the staff never signed for any packages and out mail room requires finger print access which UPS does not have (only post master & management). UPS began their investigation and I notified the shipper of the delivery screw up. So far about a week, UPS has been horrible to deal with. Not a single person I've spoken with speaks proper English, I am an immigrant myself so please spare me the bigoted comments. Their accents are so heavy you can't even understand what the person on the other end is saying. The comments do not make any sense and it is clear they are only regurgitating some prescripted nonsense. Moral of the story, I am out nearly a thousand $, UPS has yet to determine anything and the seller even if they cover the loss will not have the parts in stock for another 3-6 months all because this seasonal driver couldn't follow basic directions. I worked deliveries while I finished my engineering degree, it is not a difficult job in that no real thought is required. You are literally just following directions all day, sometimes a gate code would jam me up but come on man... How the heck do you deliver a package to a non existent address when my UPS choice strictly states all packages to be signed over at my front door or signed over by the front office! I hope Amazon gets into the delivery game and buys 'em out to show the old guy a few new tricks. UPS stock is way down, so that makes me feel a little better.
I sent an overnight package with EXTREMELY IMPORTANT documents. UPS lost my package and provided 0 help after they did. Learn from everyones mistakes and pains dealing with this company and go with USPS OR FEDEX!
I had a $200 package that was lost. It needed signage to deliver, so the entire thing is traceable, yet they won't admit they are at fault. I started an "investigation" for the claim. They said they would have a result in 3-7 days. I called on day 8. The investigation was closed on day 3 without notifying me. Why was it closed? Was the package found? No it was not.
Started a new investigation (took 46 minutes to connect with a human on the phone after being transferred twice). They had scanning proof that the last guy to touch the package was the UPS delivery man, yet they talked around it and around it saying the investigation is ongoing.
1.5 months later and the sender sent a new package bc they felt so bad. UPS never paid the sender for the lost package and never admitted fault.
Answer: Because there is ZERO accountability at UPS and they dont care about customers or having business ethics. Answer my question if you can.(Click on my profile and see it)
Answer: Because the management orders the people under them to do it, so it looks good on UPS. And most customers dont bother to complain or write reviews.
Answer: It's driver preference and they don't care. I complained about this. I'm constantly getting medical supplies delivered and they don't care
Answer: Because they don't care! For the life of me, I can't understand why anybody uses them as a delivery service.
Answer: Because they are a very poorly run company. It doesn't even run its offices domestically well, as you can see by the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this site. Use any shipping service over UPS.
Answer: UPS is a disgrace. They are a disregardful and careless business who lies to their costumers. Absolutely will not support ever again!
Answer: Sadly, today the term racist is used to define almost anyone that we disagree with. I am not a happy customer of the ups store but if you are getting death threats you need to contact the police. It is illegal in America to make death threats against anyone no matter their race, creed or color. That is the beauty of living in United States of America. You do not need to wait for a company to file charges against another human being who is threatening your life. You just need to take the appropriate, legal action against that person, good luck!
