The overall reputation of UPS is marred by significant concerns regarding service reliability and customer support. Many customers report frequent delays in package delivery, errors in shipping, and inadequate responsiveness from customer service representatives. Complaints highlight issues with lost packages, unfulfilled delivery promises, and a lack of accountability, leading to frustration and dissatisfaction. While some customers acknowledge the company's long-standing presence in the industry, the prevailing sentiment is overwhelmingly negative, with calls for improved communication and service efficiency. This feedback suggests that UPS must urgently address operational shortcomings to restore customer trust and satisfaction.

Every year the drivers get too lazy to deliver my items to my house, and they leave it at the post office making me have to drive and pick it up.
NOTE TO UPS MANAGEMENT:
IF I WANTED TO HAVE TO DRIVE SOMEWHERE TO PICK UP MY PACKAGE, I WOULD JUST DRIVE TO THE STORE AND BUY IT, AND NOT ORDER ONLINE.
The purpose of ordering online and getting your items delivered to your doorstep, is very convenient for 95% of the American people, but every year UPS fails horribly at performing their job.
I ordered something from Amazon, no issues there. UPS on the other hand...nothing but issues. They tried to deliver on Thursday at 11am. But guess what, I work, so obviously I wasn't home to sign for it. Instead of trying at a later time, they opted to try again on Friday. At 11 am. So again, I wasn't home. Then, after getting somewhat irate at their incompetence I was finally able to arrange to have it dropped off at a pick up point. Which it was, at 10am on Monday (4 days after the initial delery attempt.) Which their notification things confirmed. Only it wasn't. Because someone of their end had decided that it needed to be returned to UPS. So at 3pm they called the drop off point and picked it up. At 5:30 pm, I spoke to one of their "escalation team" people. She had no idea why it was picked up. Her system showed it as still being at the pick up point. I had to tell her it wasn't. She called them and confirmed that, but with no explanation as to why it was picked up. So today, 6 DAYS after the initial delivery attempt, with no contact from UPS, I still don't have my package. In theory, I should have it today, and a "Sorry for the inconvenience" comment from them. My only question is, What if this had been medication, that I needed to live? Would it still be an inconvenience? At "too bad so sad?" And ALL of this because they refuse to deliver to residential addresses after 6pm. Refuse to deliver on weekends. And have unbelievably incompetent CSRs.
Hi, I sent my package through UPS and it has been on its way for almost 2 months and they take no responsibility I guess it will be on its way for eternity maybe in the year 3025 I will have my package delivered. DO NOT use this service not recommended at all.
I wish you could give negative stars. The delivery driver gave my package to a random man in a random building that wasn't even close to my name or my address. Then when I demanded they go retrieve my items they said it could take 8 business days for them to hear back from their driver and they might be able to get me my package! Absolutely deplorable! How they are still in business is mind blowing! They have no care for anyone's things and every interaction with anyone working at UPS is horrendous!
There appears to be a shady scam going on between UPS drivers and Mr Siddiquie's UPS pick-up (access) depot in the Pelsterstraat 17 in Groningen. Every single time I stay home for a delivery, UPS sends me an email telling me I wasn't at home when they tried to deliver. Complete nonsense! I stayed home especially to receive the package! I can, of course, ask Mr Siddiquie to deliver my package, but he charges extra for deliveries to my home, of course! The depot is a dump little back-street shop in the centre of Groningen which is virtually impossible to reach by car. I wonder if UPS management is aware of this set-up. Scandalous!
I paid $234.94 to send a package to Sierra Leone. Upon tracking the package I was shocked to learn that the package will be returned to me I went to the UPS Store to check why it was returned and they said that the shipper requested the package to be returned. This is absolute lie. I never requested anything. UPS in my opinion is very unreliable.
I've had UPS couriers pass by my apartment unit and wrongfully deliver my packages to the neighbor down the hall. I just experienced UPS delivering my package in the public mail room area in my building but they have access to the elevator and could easily take packages to people's doors. Instead my package was delivered and I wasn't notified of the delivery. So someone opened my package thankfully my items weren't stolen. This is unacceptable and I wish their couriers were more considerate and responsible. If this were someone's house, they would deliver to the door (I would hope). People pay money for their stuff so it would be appreciated to take better care of our packages.
Waiting on a heavy package to be delivered, checked tracking and said out for delivery yesterday, no one showed up.Checked tracking today and said I wasn't home when they attempted delivery so package was sent to a UPS access point.I was home all day and no attempt was made to deliver package.I'm a senior and have no idea how I'm going to pick up and carry a very heavy package. When I called UPS access point at Pharmachoice I was told this happens to much,as they get the same story from people who have to come to store to pick up their packages.
When I lived in Columbus Ohio, I received UPS packages on time, all the time, whether I was home to sign or not. Now I live in rural Gettysburg, Ohio, and suddenly they're demanding that I be home to sign for the package or they refuse to leave it. Now, I'm 58 and live in an upstairs apartment, so unless UPS is PAYING ME to spend hours outside the front door downstairs waiting for them, that's IF I'm not at work or somewhere else, I don't see how they can get away with holding my package hostage. But here we are.
If I could give a zero, I would! UPS is the worst, the absolute worst. If I could choose not to use them, I would in a heartbeat! But I can't choose what shipping services sellers use. I have had so many expensive parcels "lost" conveniently! Never the inexpensive items only things that could fetch a price. Their customer service is nonexistent and they genuinely don't care. They lost an expensive camera and when I asked where it was, they said they handed it off but couldn't provide confirmation that it was successfully handed off, and when I ask why not, I was told that it wasn't their responsibility anymore and to deal with it!
I had sent a package on October 29th, 2022 with Christmas gifts for my grandkids and my daughter, I paid for the extra insurance, not only did UPS lose my package, now they are being jerks and making me provide proof of purchase of what was in the package. I was able to locate most of the receipts but the fact that they make it incredible hard to get YOUR money back is an added disappointment, I will never ship through them ever again. Also, their customer service is extremely rude, they don't help you, they show no empathy in working you resolve the problem, the claims department is a joke, they are rude and nasty, no more will I deal with them, I am done supporting a company that no longer has pride in their job or have morals not to steal, complete waste of time and money.
A product I ordered was not delivered because the apartment number was left off the address. I called UPS "customer service" and was told by an automated system that I needed to provide a tracking number. I gave it and was told that they didn't have any information about my package. I tried to speak to a live person and the system just kept asking me for my tracking number again. It then said I could file a claim on their website to report the problem. I filed a claim and received no notification that it was received or that anything was being done about it. I went to the post office and was told that my package was being returned to the manufacturer. I called the manufacturer and this was confirmed.
In short, I received more information from the manufacturer and the post office about the package that UPS itself was in charge of shipping. It is the worst shipping service ever.
Send your delivery by post - this is quicker than UPS. I recommend you do not waste your time with UPS
Ups is the worst company I ever had to experience. This is not the first incident where they claimed they delivered a package and it's missing. I spoke to customer service and they told me dispatcher would reach out to me and to be on the lookout for a call. But nothing. Very terrible company. I don't know when some businesses still use them.
Each time I buy something and they use them... it's impossible like delay. Sorry but never use them if it's possible
Take UPS seven days holding onto my package to still deliver it to the wrong place and the supervisor was so unprofessional and rude and promised me it will be delivered to my home the next day but sent it to one of the UPS outlet. Please don't use UPS for deliveries I think FedEx does a better job
We received notice of delivery early in the morning one day. Note UPS is never in our neighborhood at that time. We couldn't find our package anywhere. We checked our security cameras and saw that not only was there no delivery but UPS has not even driven by. Called customer service and couldn't get a live person. Automated service just hung up after telling us to go on line. Tried filing a claim on line it tells us to call customer service. Repeat. Tried calling the local hub. They said file claim on line and promised to talk to the driver. They called next day and said driver dropped off package and good luck finding it. Cameras still showed no delivery still can't get through to customer service. I don't know how they stay in business. We would give no stars if we could.
I wish I could give a minus because that is what they deserve. I have spent numerous hours trying to resolve a delivery and billing issue. I have been promised over 6 call backs by end of day and NOT once have they done as promised! I will not be using UPS again as their lack of customer care seems to be routine of late. Today while speaking with a rep and hoping resolution has been achieved she transfers me to the automated billing department in which I had to start over again. UPS you honestly are the WORST!
I have tried to use them on multiple occasion and suffered continuous frustration. Just recently I tried to ship a bike from one shop to another. I followed online directions to the T. They would not ship the label to the shipper or me. Tried contacting the phone 1-800 phone number in mid-day: no answer. When I finally got a hold of somebody early in the AM, I had difficulty understanding them since they were obviously not located in this country. I then went to a local UPS office, who refused to help me. I had to cancel my order. I then went to Bike Flights who readily answered my questions. The online process went very smooth. The pickup and delivery will still be with UPS which worries me.
I had to refuse a big AC/heating window unit I no longer could buy due to a financial crisis. So, Sat. Oct 29th I caught the UPS guy unloading the big AC on my front porch. I told him I was refusing it and apologized for the inconvinience. He said that was okay and took the AC back to his truck and drove off! Simple right? WRONG! The next day I came home to find the same AC back in my drive way! I immediately(Oct 31st) called UPS's 800 # and they saw on their computer screen where the driver put that I had refused it and that they would pick it back up... Well I called again on Oct 1st because they still hadn't picked it up! And I told them this $1,000.00 AC was still sitting outside and that I just had shoulder surgury and couldn't move it and wouldn't be responsible for it if it were stolen! Oct 2nd I called again and left another nasty message! Oct 3rd I called again and told them what they had done! It's amazing how dishonest this company is. And the cool thing for Justice and Karma is I just started an online business and will be shipping a ton of big boxes and they will NOT be shipping any of my boxes unless I get in a serious jam. I will go with FED-EX all the way. UPS blew it. Besides there is only one thing that I can think of when I hear the words "Big Brown"...
Answer: Because there is ZERO accountability at UPS and they dont care about customers or having business ethics. Answer my question if you can.(Click on my profile and see it)
Answer: Because the management orders the people under them to do it, so it looks good on UPS. And most customers dont bother to complain or write reviews.
Answer: It's driver preference and they don't care. I complained about this. I'm constantly getting medical supplies delivered and they don't care
Answer: Because they don't care! For the life of me, I can't understand why anybody uses them as a delivery service.
Answer: Because they are a very poorly run company. It doesn't even run its offices domestically well, as you can see by the overwhelmingly negative reviews on this site. Use any shipping service over UPS.
Answer: UPS is a disgrace. They are a disregardful and careless business who lies to their costumers. Absolutely will not support ever again!
Answer: Sadly, today the term racist is used to define almost anyone that we disagree with. I am not a happy customer of the ups store but if you are getting death threats you need to contact the police. It is illegal in America to make death threats against anyone no matter their race, creed or color. That is the beauty of living in United States of America. You do not need to wait for a company to file charges against another human being who is threatening your life. You just need to take the appropriate, legal action against that person, good luck!
