Daisy herself couldn't find a better dress anywhere! Seriously bought my party dress for a 20's theme wedding and it fit my curvy body perfectly and was gorgeous!
So I have never ordered from unique vintage before. I have purchased unique vintage items via resale. They're sizing I found to be all over the place. I have sizes xl 1X 2x 3x. They are pricey. So I figured I would give their catch of a day a try. $25 sight unseen. The thing I didn't realize is that you cannot return them if they do not fit. Even though the same items are still for sale on their website. The term catch of the Day is misleading it's more like trash of the day in the warehouse. I should have known better. I will never order from unique vintage again. My experience all the way around was poor. It even took them almost 2 weeks to even process the order. My advice is to be very careful about what you're ordering and never ever sign up for their surprise dresses. The black wiggle dress is not for my potato body and was the 1X and completely unflattering and a but big. The green dress more my style but unable to exchange for a smaller size. The material is the stretchy cheap material and no pockets as a dress should have. Overall Maximum disappointment.
I will never again order from unique vintage, as it was one of my worst experiences with online shops. Their clothes are nice, but it is totally not worth the hassle and stress with unique vintage staff.
First, I got incorrect dress (totally different color, size, style than I ordered). As I am from Europe, I paid a big tax for a piece of clothing which I will never wear. I emailed them and got answer that I can keep the wrong dress (it won't fit me and nobody wants to buy it from me, and I still paid tax for it) and the correct order will be processed.(it was said it will be matter of few hours and it was 30th of May) I was supposed to be updated in case of any trouble with the order.
The dress wasn't sent to me, I had to repeat my emails one week later, 05.06 and 06.06, which were unfortunately ignored. Then, irritated I contacted unique vintage staff again on their website, 07.06, and this time, the dress was finally being sent to me. As a cherry on top, the delivery of the dress lasted 1.5 month due to bad packing performed by unique vintage. (as package didn't have needed documents to get accepted at the border). And I paid third of its price in taxes, again.
I didn't feel that neither my money or my time was respected.
I hadn't had a email about my order, i am from the UK and was nervous but i have been made to feel not nervous by the reply i have received from customer service
After my initial sign up in April I received my 1st dress no problem. It was a nice dress. On May 15 my bank account was charged $57. I excitedly waited and no dress came. On my UV account dashboard it stated "Unfulfilled" as to my order status, it showed a photo of the dress that I was supposed to receive. On June 15 I was charged $57 again and upon checking my UV account dashboard it showed the May order unfulfilled and now the June order with a photo of the same dress as shown for May both orders were "unfulfilled". I emailed the customer service, received a response from an Emma Farley who wrote that there was "a computer synching issue" in May which resulted in my order not being delivered. Emma Farley stated that a refund for May was issued. Upon checking my bank account no refund has been issued I've been charged $57 twice and have no dress. Which means for the one dress I did receive in April, I've paid $171.00 not including taxes and shipping this is BS! I emailed the company this morning to ask for my subscription to be cancelled and my money refunded. I'd like to call but their hours are 9am-3pm, some of us with daytime jobs are not able to call within this very limited phone customer service time. Maybe that is their plan?
First, do not use this website if you are using mobile data. It takes forever to load and eats through data. Every time you try to go to a different page, it reloads every single huge picture.
The pictures are not good, and so it is hard to judge what the dresses actually look like. I ordered a dress that turned out to have tiniy irridescent sequins all over it. It looked like a little girl's princess dress, but I was looking for an adult dress. The material was terrible, the measurements didn't match. It also took two weeks for the dress to arrive.
When I tried to return it, my account on the website suddenly said that I had never ordered a dress. I emailed and was answered in a very friendly way. They agreed to waive the restocking fee and sent a return label.
Now the website still will not recognize my account, so I can't see the status of the return. (It still says that I never ordered anything.) To help others, I tried to post a review with a better photo of the dress, but - surprise! - the website will not allow me to post a review.
I have no idea if I will actually ever receive a refund. The people seem nice, and if they had an actual store, I would go. But the website makes this an online shopping nightmare. I will never order from the site again.
I was so excited that I found some swimsuits that cover my lower stomach. I ordered my items on 3-27-14. Today is 6-2-14. I received 1 piece of my 2 swimsuits last week. Where the f#### the rest of my stuff. I'm completely furious with this company. I've ordered stuff from China and got it delivered to my house in a week in a half. That must convince you that this site is trash!
So I decided to call customer service. If that is what you call it. Even though they claim to be in business hours, I get getting the recording saying they weren't open. Then finally I got through to listen to 15 minutes of classical music. I never heard once, "all operators are currently busy we will help you as soon as we can." Or anything even close to the sort.
I would never trust them to order my prom dress or wedding dress/ bridemaids dresses. That would be sooooooooooooooo awful to know your big day was about to happen and no dress.
If I could give them lower than a 1 rating I would.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE IT IS NOTHING BUT A SCAM!
I ordered a dress in November to wear for an event on February 1. It was marked down and listed as "final sale," which made me wary, because the reviews for sizing were all over the place, but I really loved the dress and went for it.
*Three weeks later* I got a notice that the dress was "backordered" (why is a clearance item on backorder and why did it take most of a month to inform me of this?) and was not expected to ship for *another* three weeks. The dress is still for sale at the same price in every size two months later as well. This makes me think the "markdown" and "final sale" are just a misleading way for them to get out of returns and exchanges.
I was frustrated but decided to hope for the best, but shop for a backup dress as well.
The dress did not end up shipping until late January, but it did finally arrive.
The good news is, it fits (which is also sort of bad news, because I shopped according to the customer reviews and ordered three sizes smaller than their sizing chart recommended for my measurements- and it fits. It would have been falling off me if I had ordered as the company recommends, with no exchange available). The bad news is it REEKS of cigarette smoke, and I'm now in a time crunch to get it altered in time for the February event. That should not be happening for a dress I ordered in November. Wedding dresses ship faster than this!
The clothing is beautiful, but I can't recommend Unique Vintage as a business and won't be shopping there again. The uncertainty, frustration, and shady business practices aren't worth it.

I specifically came to this site for vintage stockings. If I wanted leg Avenue stockings I could have purchased them on amazon with my prime membership and not paid over $25 in express shipping.
I don't even have the words to express how incredibly disappointed and upset I was when the package arrived. Such a sham.
"Vintage hosery" my foot... you do realize that for those of us who live and dress this lifestyle leg Avenue is a joke right?
Because of the lack of labeling, I've just paid $86 for horrible, terrible "stockings" designed for teenagers who don't know any better.
If they have any care, they would update the descriptions on their website to list the brands being sold to make buyers aware and for goodness sake, get some better product! Its a safe bet that if we've come to a vintage clothing site for stockings, we want something

Unique Vintage is Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council ("PCI") compliant and implements the latest measures reasonably possible to protect its customers' sensitive information. However, the very sophisticated data breach concerning this incident involved malicious malware that was siphoning customer information from Unique Vintage's website from approximately January 2012 until September 14,2013. The information breached contained customer names, email addresses, telephone numbers and credit card numbers. No other information was compromised.
I had my credit card number stolen, then in August that person used my credit card to purchase hundreds of dollars of workout equipment. Went through hell getting it all fixed. NEVER USE THIS WEBSITE, you had malware on your computer for over a YEAR! Inexcusable!
I've bought a ton of my favorite clothes from Unique Vintage, and they provide great service as well as a diverse, fun selection to choose from!
They make you feel like you're a pain to deal with. I ordered a sale dress on March 28 (Saturday) and an hour later, they announced a sale on all already discounted items, which would have applied to my order. I only missed it by an hour, so first thing on Monday morning, the moment everything opened (PST time), I got online and connected with a customer service rep named Vanessa via chat. I had a terrible time trying to convince her of the legitimacy of my request—she first tried to tell me that they couldn't do anything because that order had already been processed and handled through their warehouse, to which I said: "how is that possible if you just opened ten minutes ago?"—before she finally said okay, but they could only give me a 10% discount, not the 25% being offered in the sale. That seemed unfair, too, so I said so, then finally after ages and ages, she came back relenting and told me she would apply the discount to my order. The whole conversation seemed crazy. Missing a sale by an hour on a weekend is pretty frustrating, and it wouldn't have been a big deal to just apply the discount to my order. I've heard of stuff like that happening on Free People before, and they just immediately offer the discount over, but the I hear their customer service is great. Anyway, 30 days later, my order (shipped with a 15-30 day service to Canada) still hasn't been upgraded from "Accepted" to "Shipped". The rep made me feel like a huge bother, and now that my order still hasn't shown up, I'm feeling unpleasant about possibly having to message again. I ordered from UV once before and the dress that arrived was beautiful, but the company is just so bad to its customers. I buy online a lot and am very loyal to the sites and companies that I love, but instead of treating me kindly and encouraging me to order again, they knotted their faces about the $30 I was trying to save and made me feel uncomfortable and antagonized. Thumbs down.

I put in my first order with them and eagerly awaited my outfits. I mean "sitting by the window obnoxiously staring at the front stoop while sipping coffee and mentally begging for them to show up already" so I could wear them to my birthday party and a good friend's wedding respectively. I became that person who bounced outside every day to see if it was here yet, and hit refresh on my tracking number as often as possible. One day while I was working from home (thanks Covid!), I saw a notice come in saying my package had been delivered a few minutes prior. YAY! But I hadn't heard the iron gate open, nor had anyone rung the bell. Odd. I ran outside and there was nothing. Nada. I looked around and saw nothing. I asked the landlord's wife who was sorting through recycling outside if she saw anything arrive. She said no. So I waited. And waited. And waited. Then it was the end of the day and I realized something was really wrong. I reached out to Unique Vintage, and told them what was happening. Their customer service stayed in contact with me, and they said they would help me look for the packages in any way they could. They filed a claim on my behalf... yada yada yada... in the end, the package was never located. I was out the money AND had to repurchase things to wear to my birthday and the wedding, so I would be out double! Or WOULD I? Because they decided to refund me, and now they have a customer for LIFE. I have still never seen their clothing in person since that was going to be my first order. But despite that, I will happily reorder thanks to the customer service alone. (Though next time I'm going to pay for upgraded shipping that doesn't go through USPS like their free shipping eventually does. I'm too spooked by what happened to risk doing that again. From now on it's FedEx or UPS all the way from start to finish, and I'll ask for it to be signed for. I've learned my lesson. Now I'm going to use that refund to shop from them again! This time I will hopefully actually get the outfits. ;) lol!

The nice people at that other review site removed my review because it wasn't for the brick and mortar location of this store, but rather the online store. I'm sure the store is a very nice place to shop, this is for my online experience.
We ordered dresses from here for my daughter's prom. The biggest problem with this place is their sizing. We ordered 2 different dresses, one in size 14 and one in XL. (Different brands too.) They were both too small, the XL by a lot. So, I placed another order for a size 16 and a 2XL. Their sizing chart says that a 46" bust is the measurement for 2XL. NOT EVEN CLOSE. We couldn't get it zipped up and my daughter wears a size 38B bra. The size 16 fitted perfectly - length and everything (she's 6'0 tall and 180 lbs.). Even the seamstress at the dry cleaner was laughing about how absurdly off the size chart was for the 2XL.
Another issue is their shipping. You can pay for expedited shipping, but just know that they require 48 hours handling time before actually shipping your order. So my 2 day shipping was actually 4 days. Amazon Prime, they most definitely are not.
They also charge a restocking fee for returns. Not a big deal, but if your sizing wasn't so completely and totally off, people probably wouldn't have to return items.
Customer service - I called a few times to make sure they were crediting my account (they waited several days before finally refunding my credit card) and never once got through. Was stuck on hold for 20 minutes each time. They do however respond to emails, so I was able to take care of questions that way.
In all, I would avoid this place for ordering online. Their sizing is totally off, and their shipping and returns process sucks. Unless you know exactly what you're getting and the size of the item, I can almost guarantee it will be wrong. Caveat emptor...
Noch nie habe ich mit einer Firma so schlechte Erfahrungen gemacht, wie mit Unique Vintage.
Am 20. Jan. 2019 bestellt hieß es zunächst, die Lieferung erfolge innerhalb von 10-20 Tagen, zudem hieß es, ab einem Wert von 150 Euor müsse kein Versand gezahlt werden. Trotz einer Bestellung von 170 euro musste ich 15,50 Euro Versand bezahlen. Zudem hieß es auf einmal, die Hose sei nicht Lieferbar und alles werde zusammen versandt.
Meine Bitte, die Bestellung zu stornieren, da ich das Kleid für einen besonderen Anlass benötigt hätte, wurde nicht angenommen.
Heute, den 16.04.2019 - nahezu drei Monate später ist das Paket angekommen. Hierauf musste ich noch Zollsteuer von 67 Euro bezahlen - darauf hat mich keiner hingewiesen und ich habe keinerlei Hinweis auf der Website gefunden.
Diese Firma ist für mich absolut unten durch, dies werde ich auch an meine Bekannten weiter geben.

Answer: I went off their sizing chart and everything fit perfect. Some dresses has different sizing measurements so not all XL are the same. I am guessing it is because of the material. One of the dresses I bought was 2 sizes smaller than I usually buy and it fit perfectly

All Special occasion gowns are final sale, but this does not mean they are on clearance or a mark down, they are simply not returnable.
Sadly, the dress was on backorder, and once we realized the dress was not going to arrive by the listed time, we sent an email to all customer to notify them of the delay. The updated date was the week of January 15th, and your order was shipped January 16th. The dress should not smell like smoke, and we would be happy to replace the dress, or if it’s no longer needed it can be returned for a refund. We are very sorry it was received in that condition.
