I just discovered this brand a few months ago, and I am in love! Their dresses fit true to size, are high quality, and most have pockets! I feel like a princess when I wear them. I have really high standards when it comes to my clothes, and these dresses do not disappoint. I now own 15 dresses from UV and I haven't had any issues.
On a recent order, they did send me the wrong size petticoat in error. Because I'm in Canada and they are in the USA, it wasn't a straightforward return process. I asked how they could help pay for the shipping back since the error was made on their end.
To my surprise, they immediately refunded me the cost of the petticoat! I was then told that the incorrect size was mine to give away if I chose and I could then order the correct size again. The decision they made saved me so much hassle, and it meant I could immediately order the petticoat I needed instead of waiting for the return. I already loved this brand, and now I'm extra happy with their customer service!

I needed a few accessories to go with the gorgeous Flapper dress I bought at Unique Vintage, to wear at a Flapper Ball that's coming up this year, so I got a beaded ring in the same colors. Unfortunately, when the ring arrived, it was damaged.
I hopped online to let them know what happened, and in No Time At All they are sending me a replacement ring - Just Like That! That's what I call FANTASTIC CUSTOMER SERVICE!

A family member of mine passed away yesterday morning and a s it turns out I have no black or dark clothing suitable to wear to a funeral. I'm a US size 26 and I don't live in or near a major city and I have a very particular sense of style so online is my only option of ever buying clothes really. I was able to find a lovely dress and offer rushed shipping, hoping it would arrive in time.
That was a mistake.
I got an email notifying me of tracking only a few hours after ordering and discovered the dress would be arriving a day late. I called the customer service line as soon as I was able and was quickly on the line with a representative named Alex. I explained to her my situation and, even though I knew it was unlikely, I ask if the shipping could be amended or if I could cancel and reorder. She was very kind and incredibly helpful and was able to get me faster shipping on my dress. She even followed up the next day after it was delivered to make sure it got to me, which was very sweet of her.
I'm grateful to Alex and the whole Unique Vintage team for being so helpful!
I would never order from this site again. I recently purchased a ball gown from Unique Vintage, when I recieved it the dress was much too small and very cheaply made. I promptly returned it, the company took more than three weeks to inform me that they had received it back. Although there was no indication on the reciept or on the website that the gown was final sale the email that I recieved stated that I could not recieve a refund because the item was a final sale item. It also stated that I will recieve a store credit minus $5.99 which is a fee for using THEIR return label, but the website states that the $5.99 fee would be WAIVED on exchanges that were sent back using THEIR return label.
I came here to look for a prom dress. This website is probably one of my most trusted "prom" website on the internet. The website isn't a scam like other fake, cheap, or chinese websites. The discounts are exceptional. They have THE BEST COSTUMER SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD ON THE INTERNET.
I originally ordered a pre-order dress which, to my disappointment, the manufacturer didn't make it anymore. They called me and ask if I want my money back (full refund) or if I want to get another dress. So I did. They upgrade my free ground-shipping into express 3-Day. When I got the other dress, it didn't fit so I returned it to them. I exchanged it for a different dress (since I've found something better) and once again, they upgraded my shipping! I am so thankful for their wonderful service! I HAVE RECOMMENDED THIS WEBSITE TO ALL MY FRIENDS. THIS SITE IS TRULY A LIFE-SAVER. AWESOME PRICES. I CAN HONESTLY SAY MY PROM DRESS that costs $178 looks better than my friend's dress which costs $325!
So I had placed my order in april, it took them till june to ship my order, they purposely didn't include part of my order in my shipment even though it was in stock, just told me they wouldn't be sending that dress with the rest of my order and then refused to fully refund me for said item and I had to get paypal involved for a full refund of said dress, since customer service was incredibly rude and condescending.
It's now the end of august and I still haven't gotten anything. After contacting their customer service, they were supposed to contact DHL to find out where my package went and then once again ignored me completely for a month even though they'd "get back to me in 5-7 days". After contacting them once again, they didn't even mention my package, so I'm guessing they never actually bothered to check where it went, and they promised to fully refund me. Well, as you can guess, no refund to be seen anywhere. You're better off burning your money, that way you still get some heat out of it and it's not a source of stress for 5 months...
Oh, and they're deleting my negative reviews (and the negative reviews of how many others) where they can...
Contacted UV customer service for the first time regarding my order and received excellent service. A lady who assisted me over the phone was very polite and helpful. Great service!
I purchased a beautiful pair of high waisted pants with suspenders... this piece is a gorgeous vintage classic... unfortunately the seams on the front were coming loose and the item was a little large... I had planned to return the item but a smaller size wasn't available... so I sent the pic to my seamstress and she said it would not be a problem at all to reinforce it and also take these in for me... at any rate I had already informed customer service of the loose stitching... At times, when a consumer points out a fault or anything of that sort the company sometimes becomes defensive and dismissive... In this case with Unique Vintage nothing could be further from the truth... Maura replied promptly to me and apologized for the item not arriving pristine... and once I sent photos to display what I was referring to I was offered 20% refunded back to me... I will absolutely return to shop here... when a company assists clients with such care and respect they earn my long term business!

Wish I saw these reviews earlier. Bought a vintage style black and red sailor halter one piece swimdress. Material quality was decent, but there were many poor design/manufacturing issues:
1. Should include a height measurement. My torso is a little longer so I understand this is a more personalized problem. The padding of the suit barely covered my chest and was not under the red stripe portion, just the black material below it.
2. Padding had no smooth edge at the seam, which led to visible ridges under the fabric of the suit.
3. At the waist two different fabrics met under the top layer, creating an awkward seam at the middle that made another raised ridge in the middle of the fabric. Visible at a questionable location.
4. Buttons should have been sewn on the flip side for better detailing. Buttons were not sewn on semetrically. One fell off right away while I was putting the swimsuit on for the first time.
Overall for the price I paid I expected better quality in design and production, not just fabric, especially since it claims to be made in the States.
I placed my first order on June 23,2021 (#*******). I received an email on June 24,2021 with a tracking link that did not work. On July 3, I emailed customer service and received another tracking number, which also did not work. On July 16, I called customer service and they stated that they would see where my package was and its status. I received an email with a FedEx tracking number, and it shows my item reached Texas on June 27,2021. It then took a grand tour of Texas, going back and forth to six different cities, and finally was last tracked in Houston, Tx on June 12,2021. I called customer service for the second time on July 22, and was told a replacement item couldn't be send until FedEx confirmed that the item was lost. I was told to wait until the end of the week, and I pointed out that the end of the week would be the next day. (This was what I was told the first time I called). Waiting 30 days for an item, and customer service refusing to send another when FedEx hasn't tracked the package in 11 days is very poor customer service. I doubt if I will ever receive this item, which is a shame since I really wanted it and this is the first time I've ever ordered from Unique Vintage.
Update: July 29,2021 On Friday, July 23 I placed a third call and spoke with customer service. They said they would ship a replacement and that it would take about five days. I received it today, July 29. The sweater is great.
My experience with this company started months ago. I ordered my Mother this lovely looking top for Mother's Day that said it would be shipped out within a week. A week goes by and no shirt, I contact them and they send a bogus tracking number. I let them no it's bogus, then they say the order is delayed for 6 days. Then it gets delayed again and again. I just have to buy another gift bc this doesn't come when they said. Then way later I get this horribly ugly swimsuit that is useless, and a wrenched cheaply made blouse that is nothing like what was advertised that I ordered. I contacted them again, but never got my blouse. I started looking through their site after I realized what was going on, and I have figured out what they are doing. They are using higher end clothing pictures from other sites and putting them on theirs. The majority of their site is fake! If you order these nicer higher end items, they do not even have them. I tried to get PayPal to make it right, but these bogus companies are so good at scamming people. They have something to prove a package was delivered and the customer can't prove it wasn't what they ordered. It's not fair, and it should be illegal! I got scammed, and no one helped me. I decided to put this review out here publicly bc I don't want anyone else to fall prey to these people. It only has one star bc I had to give it something.
Ordered a petticoat which came torn in multiple places. I cannot send it back since I live in Canada and it will cost a fortune to mail it back. Buyer Beware! Poor quality products.
I ordered a garment that came with a hole in it. Although I was quite dissatisfied with the product, they refunded the entire purchase price and shipping and their customer service was awesome!
After ordering a dress on the unique vintage website I read some disturbing reviews and I was afraid the dress I ordered wouldn't fit me but I was pleasantly surprised when it came and it fit very nice ( I ordered an x large just to be on the safe side) but I am very happy with my experience with unique vintage would definitely order something from them again I just love the dresses and the material is nice too
I ordered an $88 skirt several weeks in advance to make sure it would arrive well in time for a big event. But then I just never received it or heard anything about where it was even after reaching out to Unique Vintage multiple times. I continued to receive no reply from UV, but then on my third attempt to contact them, was told the skirt was never in stock in the first place.
Since getting this news took a few weeks, I was down to the wire in terms of time before my event. But then I had the idea to call back again and ask if a larger size was still in stock. I was glad to hear it was! UV then Fedex Ground shipped it to me in hope of still getting it to me in time. I was thrilled to see the skirt came just in time, but...
It wasn't even the skirt I ordered. Thier fix to their first mistake was sending the wrong product.
I was completely out of time and out of luck. I then had to go through the rigamarole of sending back the wrong skirt. It was made of cheap, coarse taffeta-like fabric. Sort of like a discount costume material.
Store credit (as opposed to a refund) was pushed on me. I was offered a 20% discount on my next purchase though, so I could enjoy the process all over again.:)
$88 skirts are kind of a big splurge for me, so I assumed the material quality and customer service would reflect the higher price. It was more like dealing with a fly-by-night, discount knock off shop.
My order came on time, the dress I ordered was the same as on the website. I'm very pleased and have recommended them to other people, I will order in the future.
First off, I was so excited for the catch of the day sale! Plus the added excitement of a surprise? What could go wrong? Well... Everything. The shoes were so horrible and ugly. They were red sneakers and just about the only thing "vintage" about them was the cherry red color. Honestly, red sneakers from the "forever" shoe brand that my local walmart carries. They would sell for 10 dollars at wallmart. Eew. The bottoms I ordered were 2 of the exact same product. And it was also super ugly. The Davi and Dani brand is a wholesale brand that mass produces items. They were put together horribly, lopsided pleats and darts, and horrible tailored legs. They had an ugly elastic back waist that would flatter no one. I am not overweight at all and they made me look like I had a tire around my waist. Eew again. Of course, the Catch of the Day sale is final. No returns, no refunds, no exchanges. So I now have 2 identical pairs of horrible ugly non vintage vibe pants, and a pair of walmart shoes. I will never buy from them again. Be wary of the possible disappointment of the catch of the day.
I had ordered from this site, upon ordering i was not told it would be sending my package via Smart Post- Had i known i would have never ordered- When i tried to track my order (even thought the customer service rep did try to be helpful) I was given the run around. No one is sure where it is or when it will arrive, I am HIGHLY Upset because i was informed that my order would get to me before the date i was going to use my product. Now not only don they know the date but i have no skirt to wear in time for the event i planned to use it. This is the 1st time i ordered from this website. I should have just ordered from Pinupgirl Clothing they are a bit pricier- But as the saying goes- YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.
I have shopped with unique vintage many times in the past, without much of a problem. But have never purchased clothing from them. Their prices are much higher then other vintage sites so I purchase the same thing for cheaper on other sites. But besides that I received a dress for Christmas from UV. The dress first of all was extremely small. When I went to return it, they informed me they had a 30 day return policy for CHristmas and this dress had been ordered on the 10th of December. I had to rush it back to them and it was delivered according to USPS on January 6th. I contacted UV to see what was going on in regards to my return and see how long it would take. They informed me they had never heard of this order could not find my email address or the email address my aunt used to order the dress. We are currently in talks with them to find another way to find it, but for some reason I get the vibe that we will never see the 110$ again. This company is so out of date on their return and shipping policies that it is like dealing with a fake company in china on Ebay. I would never recommend shopping with them again you aren't getting a deal, and 90% of their clothing is available on other sites for better deals ( with free returns and capable customer service reps). As someone who has worked in online retail customer service and tech assistance, this is the worst place if you need help.

Answer: I went off their sizing chart and everything fit perfect. Some dresses has different sizing measurements so not all XL are the same. I am guessing it is because of the material. One of the dresses I bought was 2 sizes smaller than I usually buy and it fit perfectly
