I purchased some athletic shorts. Per the description they were WOMENS size large champion shorts. I received size large in GIRLS... and it's blatantly obvious it's a girls
Size. The waist itself is 11 inches. The large romper I bought had rotted elastic at the top and was totally stretched out. It costs 8.99 to ship back to them regardless that I've already paid 5.99 for shipping to even receive the items. I'm super disappointed, upset that I wasted money, and will not shop here again or recommend them. I gave them a
Chance because I'd heard good things. My items were straight up the opposite of what was described and I feel ripped off. No, I'm not going to pay for shipping again for their mistakes and false descriptions. I'll give the shorts to my niece, maybe they will fit her and the romper goes in the trash.

They have too much coming in and they will just close out your packages after months of wait without putting anything on sale. I sent out lots of brand new items for kids and I was told they are out of style. My kids are toddlers so things were not older than 4 years. I think is unprofessional to say that they will put the effort to look into the packages when they clearly don't.
And I have been sending things for a while so I can certainly say that things were much different in the past when probably they did not have the same volume of items to process. They claim they do this for the planet when they clearly do not care at all about throwing away perfectly new pieces of clothing.
Very disappointing.

Never received my product for a purchase of over $100. Their customer service told me there is nothing they could do refund-wise and told me to contact police for theft. This is insane. If I spend money on product, I expect to receive it. The only theft here is from ThredUp.

I had decided to clean out my closet and had a dress that was a designer $600 in my bag. They put it under some strange brand. I saw the price they listed it for was $12 …. And my payout would be $ 2.50! I emailed them immediately too please change prices or ship back to me. The girl said she would work on it immediately. A week later, I check my kit and the item was SOLD. I learned my lesson and will just donate clothes completely in the future. I feel that this company just wants to be greedy… will not use EVER again

I sent in 4 clean out kits to try this resale service and due to the Thredup charges, all my items sold, but the sales were not enough to cover the service charges - this is actually costing me money. I would get more value from donating the clothing (name brand items) or selling on Facebook marketplace

Don't sell your items here. You won't get anywhere close to the value of the items you send and the items they claim to donate are sold through other resale sites. It'll be easier to do it yourself through Mercari or Facebook marketplace where you set your own prices. Only getting $1.40 for a pair of pants that sold for $20

I've been a customer (buyer) for a couple years now and sadly this will be my last purchase because it never fails to disappoint!
The search algorithm is terrible, clothing is often misrepresented an example being several tops ordered have been petite and wasn't listed as such and the shipping is ridiculous! It takes forever to get your items that you hope is what it's advertised to be. I've had damaged clothes, petite clothes, terrible material, etc and due to "non refundable " or "restocking fees" it isn't ideal to return and that's the point from a business perspective but what ThredUP fails to realize is that only works for so long until A. Customers start dropping like flies or B. Something better comes along that takes care of the customer. Amazon has some flaws but their shipping and customer support is amazing! And that hides a multitude of flaws just saying!

Not worth sending in at their payout percentages unless something is priced over $50 otherwise you get about 50 cents an item. I have tons of outgrown nice kids clothes but would rather donate or give to a friend. I was pleased with purchases but some items were not sized correctly and I still had to get a credit rather than refund even though it was not listed properly. I would only shop again if I got another 40% off. Good values for designer brands, especially children's clothes.

Don't sell your clothing, shoes, etc. on this site. They take FOREVER to process your clean out bags and the payoff amounts are absolutely ridiculous! I sent them a $200.00 never used Brahmin bag that they listed for $65.00. My payoff amount was $3.65. How does a beautiful, worn once, Sundance blouse list less then a Faded Glory tee shirt? VERY disappointed and upset. You're better off selling your stuff at a yard sale or EBay.

I much prefer buying gently used, higher quality clothes rather than brand new cheap stuff. That's why I keep coming back. However, it can be hard to find what I'm looking for. Clothes are frequently tagged incorrectly--wrong color, wrong gender, wrong style--and even when tagged correctly, the search doesn't always work. When I narrow my "pants" search to look for "gray," it returns zero results, even though there are obviously hundreds of pairs of pants that are tagged "gray." I've tried this on multiple days, different devices, so I can only assume there's something wrong on their end. Finally, they need to start tagging the fiber content. Sometimes you are only interested in a wool sweater, or a silk blouse, and right now it's impossible to search for that.

This was my first time using thredUP. You kind of have to know what you're looking for or there's way too much to sift through. I had to start typing in specific stores/brands that I shop at and then found some good things. Everything smells like closet/basement when it arrives, so you will have to wash at least 1-2 times before wearing, but I assume you'd always want to wash items from a thrift store anyway.

Do not send them your child's clothes! Please trust me on this. For every few people who say they've had great experience with selling there are a hundred more with mine. Very expensive clothes rejected with no explanation. A pair of Keen boots that were over $50 new, worn a few times, and like new- "recycled." I got NO MONEY for them. Gone. No explanation as to why. The only reason I gave 2 stars instead of one is that I've had an ok time buying in the past, but I can't understand how they even have inventory anymore. No one is going to send in their higher quality/best brand clothing unless they just don't know, and I guarantee no one would do it again. Consign at a local store or sale. They give you 60-50 percent most of the time. Thredup did accept a lot of my clothing and gave me less than 15 percent on most of it.
