I'm not happy about the service offered by Takealot. Everytime I order something or electronic product it's either it doesn't work on arrival or stops working while using it... I've ordered 3 Fitpro watches, 1 for myself and 2 for my kids. The 2 watches I ordered for my kids do not want to connect to any app nor Bluetooth. While logging a return for the 2 watches the one I was using suddenly stopped working. Takealot came to collect all 3 faulty products on Monday morning 11th of July. On the 12th of July takealot only refunded me for 2 watches not 3. I want my refund back so that I can go buy these products somewhere else were it's reliable and where I can find good customer service
I bought shoes from Takealot. When it arrived it was too small despite being my wife's size. I asked for them to replace it with a size4. The consultant insisted there is no stock despite me being able to order it. Even their Facebook people confirmed there is stock. Yet they insist to refund me.
I have been dealing with Nosive Daniso and she is totally ignoring my complaint to here as she is not even acknowledging it, but rather making excuses. They are incompetent and arrogant. Takealot you are disgusting. I will never buy from you again and will blast you all over social media!
I ordered a portable fridge from takealot on 4/10/2023 after I completed the payment and read through the confirmation e-mail I realised I ordered the wrong thing I needed a portable fridge freezer combo not just a portable fridge. I went ahead to order a fridge freezer combo moments later also on 04/10/2023. I contacted them via email asking of they can cancel the order for the portable fridge they informed me that they can't but that I can Log a return and send it back. I did log a retun it was delivered by me 9/10/2023 and the return courier picked it up from me 10/10/2023. The parcel was never opend by me I just wrote the return number on the box. Then I was informed by Takealot that my return was denied because there is scratches on the item. On the photos that they've send me you can see that the box was never opened and resealed, but they say I've scratched the item. I feel this fridge was scratched in the warehouse before it was even shipped. I am very unhappy about this!
Take a lot has paid a refund that is due to me to the wrong bank account and refuses to take any responsbility for it, answer queries or pay back the refund that is due to me. Take a lot should take responsbility for the fact that they used the wrong bank account number - must be fraud from the top to the bottom.
GONE DOWN!As much as I used to love Takealot the frustration isn't worth it anymore...their customer service and QC is appalling. I received heavily mouldy toothbrushes twice (which I've had to fight to return and no apology), chipped sunglasses three times and they continuously deliver the wrong colours (they do have the correct ones in stock but then they put their prices up, forcing you to return, dishonest). When they come to collect returns on a motorbike, the boxes can't fit into the tiny compartment so they take the marked goods out of the boxes and then don't accept the return because it's not packaged and then they won't refund it! What I've come to notice is that a big corp like Takealot doesn't need us (although I've spent tons of money in the decades I've been a customer). They just treat you with indifference. However, from all these negative reviews seems us small frys are adding up! You guys can learn a few things from the smaller businesses that value their customers. DONE!
I orderd my two items from them for the very first time and when i was waiting for my delivery they jusy said i wasn't there. They did not bother to contact me and that time i call in sick at work so that i will be able to collect my delivery.
So I purchased/paid for three items yesterday 21/04/2022
I cancelled one item because it will only be available in May
My order shows I can only collect 30/04/2022 for the two items they have in stock
It cant take so long to pick two items
I have phoned 3 times with no joy
When purchasing I chose Montague gardens, when I drive there they tell me I must go to Richmond
I phone again and ask to speak to a manager and get told they are not allowed to transfer call to managers
I say ok, please refund me so I can go purchase somewhere else, I get told it takes 5 to 7 working days once request has been submitted
Takealot, your service is poor, you take my money refuse to process my order, you refuse the right to speak to a manager, and hold my money until you see fit to refund me.
I have no idea after this transaction how you are still in business or how anyone is prepared to wait for days

Not takealot destroying a package of my return so that they can decline my return! Guys please help if you went through this and got help in the end.
I ordered GREEN leaf solar floodlight at takealot supply by Jason only to receive Jortan solar lamp. I returned the item to be replace with the original item, and told them I ordered GREENLEEF light because I am familiar with the brand, instead I received a refund. They claim item is unavailable even though they continued to advertise it as in stock, that's duping customers by advertising Greenleaf brand but then deliver a different brand. As a customer my consent is required if I am to receive a different item. This is misleading advertising.
I bought a 210cm-tripod-selfie-ring-light for R318 they didn't charge delivery fee I was happy to hear, but guess what few days after I ordered DHL asked me to pay tax and import duties of R707 imagine. Will never order from again. They are very dishonest they could have been transparent with all costs involved now I have to pay 100% more than the price I paid.
Parcel was incomplete.No keyring after numerous efforts try to eplay in my emails the situation it look the don't want to understand.they made the mistake bonnetguard attached to my car I did pay for it now they want me to return it.I think they really bad and not good for their customers on my behalf they can keep the keyring as a gift but I don't want to do bussiness with them my rate,0out of 10
After not getting everything I ordered I was given the run around. I would not recommend them. Be very careful of those 5 pack products, they will send you less.
Ongoing saga with Takealot...
This company has been content over the years to "take a lot" of our money. Personal items, gifts, business equipment and purchases on behalf of clients - we have found it a convenient platform for almost everything we need, with good prices and good service.
But then something changed.
Takealot became an open marketplace where anyone and their dog could open a drop-shipping tab and sell whatever they wanted.
Prices became unpredictable, changing arbitrarily and often to ridiculous amounts.
Delivery times became problematic, sometimes fluctuating wildly after an order was placed.
And the quality of the products has noticeably declined, so that we often have to return items that are either of poor quality, do not match the description or are faulty.
Now our account has been blocked (without giving any reason) and has not been reactivated even after several messages.
Finally, we were told that the suspension was because of "too many returns".
Well, yes! Supply *******@ppy products; get a lot of returns!
Latest update - we received an email telling us that our last purchase (which we were charged for) was cancelled "at our request" - NOPE! We didn't ask to cancel the order, YOU did, Takealot!
The email also said that a refund would be made to our account - which is still blocked and inaccessible at this point. You're joking, right?
We're done playing this game. Once this issue is resolved, we'll take our business elsewhere.

I like ordering from you but if my next order is gonna be delivered by the guys who deliverd my order today 26 May 2023, it will be the last time I buy from you. They questioning me about my delivery address, on my order I wrote my residential address they shouting why I didnt write my work address, like seriously why would I want my order to be delivered at my workplace. If they can shut they must not deliver my order or I will stop ordering from you.
Please train your courrier guys proffessionalism and must learn to shut up and do thier job. I repeat if you gonna send those guys I rather cancel my order now and refund me my money. I have been ordering from you since 2019 I never encouncer such nonsense from courrier guy.
Shocking service received. Brought a brand new TV online. Received it on the 16th of March 2023. Only got to open it on the 1st of April as we were on holiday. TV was broken inside of the box - seems that it must have fallen during the delivery process or at the warehouse. Return logged - Tv collected 3 April. Waited for replacement - only to be notified that it will not be replaced as they only provide a 7 day return? Although their website states Hassle-Free Exchanges & Returns for 30 Days & 12-Month Limited Warranty. Raised my complaint and received confirmation that they will deliver my replacement and are thankful that I am sharing my concerns with them - only to find their delivery van here this morning delivering my same broken TV? I buy so many valuables at Takealot and this is the first time I'm encountering this shocking level of customer service. They blatantly sold me a broken Tv and I am losing R10 000 because I failed to open the box within 7 days? Requested manager feedback - nothing received. If this is how they do business and falsely advertise and have numerous hidden fine print I will advise that you rather purchase your valuables at more reliable stores. Then they have the audacity to ask me to rate their service on email? And the courier guy does not give me this option- he selects satisfactory service on his electronic device right after I sign and leave.
I have ordered a bluetooth speaker from Takealot which was damaged (Outer casing damaged) Due to this being a birthday gift, the unit was not opened for a week and a half after I have received it. For this reason they want to penalize me. First they accused me of damaging the property myself and also that there are accessories missing- then after making an exception from customer care, the warehouse again declined my return- this time because there is no evidence to pin point the damage to the couriers or drivers and because technically I am late with the return- this needs to happen within 7 days of delivery. I am constantly following up as there is no proper feedback or communication from Takealot. I really thought that Takealot can be trusted- clearly I have mistaken. Please take note that even if you buy a present for anyone from them- open it up so it can look like it has been used before you give it to them! Otherwise you will end up like me- out of 3800 rands. There are not even any responsibility that they carry, and very easy from their side- who will take them to court for every day items with not allot of value?
You never disappoint me Im always ordered from you. Could you please find me a 16 line laser level that can be suitable for ceiling and tiling Im struggling a lot looking for this

Takealot wont return my laptop after a rejected return!
Absolutely shocking customer service! Bought a laptop from Takealot and after 8 months, the hard drive crashed. As per the instructions on takealot, o logged the return and dropped off the laptop at one of the pick up points (there was a 12 month limited manufacturer warranty). So far so good. I track the return as per the app and it says "rejected, refer to email communication for more information". I check my emails. Nothing. I eventually contact takealot who say that because the back had been removed (to install more ram), the return was rejected. At no point did they (as per their returns policy doc regarding manufacturer warranties) care to inform me that I was supposed to log the return and then contact the manufacturer directly... i found this out by doing extensive research on my own. At this point I'm fuming. The status of the return has since been changed to concluded... but my laptop hasn't been returned to me and no one has contacted me to arrange for it to be returned. Every time I log a ticket, they reiterate why the return was rejected and when I ask about returning my laptop to me, nothing. They won't respond or acknowledge my question at all. This us pathetic service. I can't log the return with the manufacturer because takealot isnt returning my laptop to me. I'm honestly disgusted in the service received and the lack of communication.
