Scheduled a return of a product i purchased using payflex. Takealot picked up the product and processed the return, the app shows that my refund has been processed however, the funds are not showing in my Payflex Wallet. Strangely enough, the refund was opened twice on my account as per the attached images and both of these items show that a refund was concluded to original payment method but it was not. Issue is not with Payflex, they have not recieved anything from takealot. The employees at takealot are robbing customers and making a quick buck. Generating duplicate returns and pocketing the money. Emailed with no success, very small amount but honesty is honesty no matter what the price. Will definitely not be using takealot again. Downloaded the invoice, item does not show on the invoice. FRAUD! FRAUD! FRAUD!
Takealot should please close shop the moment Amazon becomes viable. Customer service is ridiculously bad with workers not. Being able to do much. I've used express delivery that is not express at all. Another time delivery team lost a tumble dryer. Horrible company. Would give 0 starts if possible

So watch out for this scam from takealot... They have an inside person stealing your refund money, we sent back an item and requested a refund because the item kept breaking... Right after the refund was given the amount started being spent on airtime vouchers. When we receive the email of purchases we tried to log into our takealot account and the password was changed... According to takealot it was not on thier side, our email was hacked but there is no evidence on the email to suspect this.
Did not get my delivery on the day was suppose to, the following I waited dis not receive nothing. Even last year I experience the same thing.
I am a takealot customer for years, and the one consistency with them is the unreliable delivery processes.
In the past few months, I've placed multiple orders and 70 percent of them were either defective, incorrect or incomplete orders.
In the latest order, I ordered a table and chair set. Only the chairs came without the table.
Now it is a long tedious process, I have to repackage the chairs, box it, tape it and wait for their delivery team to decide when or if it is appropriate to pick up.
Then, it goes to head office, gets 'assessed' and decision whether it is fine to replace or refund.
After this they most probably won't give me the item I ordered.
Utterly frustrating and unacceptable, especially when it is reoccurring multiple times.
I ordered fans a few weeks ago that were marked 'remote controlled, they came without remotes.
So instead of just sending the missing items, I have to return, and reorder or something of that sort.
Terrible inconvenience, especially as a takealot more subscriber.

I received my items today. I ordered two screen protectors, a phone cover and two phone stands. The phone cover was perfect. The phone stands we have not used, but we have hope. The one screen protector is good, but it's not what I expected. I ordered a privacy screen protector and it's not privacy like it said. It's from privacy premium tempered glass. The box had two options wet and dry wipe to clean the screen. The wet wipe was not wet as expected, which was quite disappointing. The other screen protector was broken when we opened the packaging. We were disappointed as we already had taken out the screen protector. We hoping to do a return.

I ordered a couch for my brothers 21st birthday and saved for months to buy this for him. I did extra side work to be able to give this to him. The couch was delivered with defects but we could live with them. However a few days after delivery when a man stood up to get up from the couch, the arm rest collapsed from a little bit of weight pressed on it. When we decided to log a return, takealot ignored the request and showed that the couch had been collected and the return was completed - the couch was still sitting in my brothers house. We logged another return and the couch was collected. Upon review takealot stated that all of this was due to wear and tear and therefor will not issue a refund. We were also then told that the couch will be returned and that if the couch is not received the couch will be considered abandoned and takealot will take it and no refund will be issued.
1. How can wear and tear be done in less than a week? 2. How can takealot be happy to take R6000 from a young girl but not take responsibility for their poor quality and service.
I responded to the email and explained everything in detail and the email was ignored and I was told that the couch was already on its way back to my brother. This is shocking service and I want this corrected!

According to what Takealot shown me in the shopping list never happened. First I have more than a week since I order my one day delivery which I paid for. It gave me and option to pay more for garbage reasons. I can't believe this. Thinking that they are the best is one thing that will destroy them. 💔 Am so freaking out right now because now they ven sent me a message saying that I will get my things but I see still they come with excuses like they sent my order at the wrong courier company, who does that. Am so freaking leaving takealot after the delivery that am still waiting for today.
My order has not been delivered; it was due 26 July. I have contacted Takealot numerous times to cancel the order and to refund me. I am still waiting. The last few requests I have logged have not been answered. I have been using Takealot for years. People ask why we use sites like Temu and Shein. This is the reason. Takealot does not deliver on time, a lot of their items are double the in-store price, and then when you order incorrect items are delivered and you cannot cancel undelivered orders.
I rate this worst ecommerce experience ever. They offer, you accept and pay, then they don't have stock and want to give you credit. I want my money back asap so I can buy products from another place. Secondly a return item was communicated and I acted on the instruction of Takealot, the result is a decline of the return without further responses to my communication. NEVER will I buy from them again...
Impossible to find what you looking for! Filtering option is a joke You get irrelevant results. Won't take long before it's out of business if design of website is not improved. I can't buy anything because I can't find it!
Referring specifically to their fault logging when there is something amiss with a product: their return logging disappears after a few minutes. Takealot is eager to sell and deliver. But it is a different story when you need to return. I bought a product and while in delivery I realised that I ordered the incorrect item. It was delivered and I immediately logged a return. They came to collect the sealed box. They refused my return and said the box was opened. We did not open it. I am sure it was a way for then to get out of the return. My wife also bought a nomination bracelet charm. It was inserted in the bracelet and two days after that it broke. She sent it back and they refused to return it because according to them it has signs of wear on it. What the hell?! How else will it broke. I have used Takealot for many years. I just think that their return process is not clear. They must he careful there are many more online shops out there. It is not like in the past where they had the monopily. Get your act together Takealot or you will loose clients.
Takealot has the worst service. I am losing money in a daily because of their incompetence they can resolve anything from Tuesday till Tuesday they escalating my matter. Make it make sense for me to still be patient. Sites not replying okay you gonna keep emailing and never get someone to find out why people are not responding. I wish Amazon will come to SA already so this new ownership of takealot can just die out and close down. They can't even look after their staff no wonder people don't do their jobs.

It's been a week and my issue with my order has not been resolved. When you request to escalate the problem to senior management then the same operators simply just ignore you on their Takealot App/email.

Takealot is one of the worst online shops out there. I ordered two products from them and Its been more than 30 days now I haven't got my products. On top of that the delivery status is saying my order has been delivered and today they sent me email for a return, I don't even have my products yet. Save your money don't buy from Takealot.
I like takealot, and use it often.
It has some issues that you should take now of:
1. They do not properly package the goods. Your items will rattle around in the box while it is being delivered.
2. There are a lot of fake sellers, selling an inferior version of a product for a cheaper price.
3. You need to keep the packaging for returns.
Broken or incorrect items can easily be returned at no costs.
They impose strict rules on sellers, yet do not keep to their own service level agreement. They are perpetually late on their 3 to 5 working day response times, sometimes they take a whole month to respond.
They lost or damaged 20% of our stock, and only offered to reimburse about 7% of the market value.
Keep away from this ecommerce site.
