I just received 7 items very quickly (it took only 2 days to ship). However I will never order again because all the items have expired expiration dates except 1 item. One item expired as far back as June 2015 and I received it today which is 1/28/16. This is completely unprofessional, unhealthy, unacceptable, potentially dangerous and probably illegal. Everyone reading this has been warned. I strongly recommend buying elsewhere. This is a clear case of buyer beware!
I have purchased from Swanson Vitamins for nearly ten years. I put in an order for $71.00 and paid via Paypal. For some reason, they charged my credit card $97.00.
It's been nearly ten days and I haven't received my items either.
I've had a heck of a time reaching customer service. At this point, I've just decided to dispute the charge and send every single item back. I cannot trust this company any longer.
Next day edit: I did received a credit for the difference that will hit my Paypal account in 3 to 5 days. I'm still gun shy about trusting this company again.
Swanson web site for ordering has gone from one of the easiest to use,, to now, Nov.2022, being one of the very worst I have ever seen. Way too many popup tags, hidden items, items which override what you are looking at, just a terrible f'd up mess. I will not use them again. Some Geek Battalion has really screwed up their soup.
Swanson recently sent e-mails to customer for free shipping if you purchase at least 50 dollars. However, when I tried to check out after a minimum of $50 purchase they are still charging shipping cost. What a scam! I called customer service and was told that certain merchandise is excluded from the $50 minimum purchase but the ad did not show any exclusion. She said that you have to read the fine prints and it is available on another screen. After arguing with her and told her that I will bring this false advertisement with the Attorney General, she said she will adjust my bill to reflect the free shipping. This is how SWanson operates. If you don't complain they will try to cheat.
This is the primary site I use for ordering all of my vitamins and supplements. I have been using swanson's for over 5 years, and they rarely let me down. Also, the swanson's brand is not only cheaper, but of equal or better quality than the major brands. My only complaints are that the standard shipping time can be a bit longer than expected, and that they have occasionally gotten my order wrong, or forgotten to ship part of my order. I had to call them, but they fixed the situation immediately. AND... this has only happened twice in the last 5+ years. OVERALL a great site with a WIDE VARIETY of products. Every weird, new, "must-have" supplement you may heard about... they have it!
I love this site for their quality products and fair prices. I also appreciate the research update emails they send out that keep customers informed of new research developments and how they might be of benefit to interested people. Their shipping price is excellent at $4.99 no matter the size of one's order. I highly recommend this site for purchasing not only vitamins but other items like shampoos, tuna, healthful oils and many other items one might need or want.
I googled Swanson Canada, and went to their site. They had an icon that showed the Canadian flag. I ordered $105.00, but when I checked my credit card bill, the charge showed 105.00 USD which was converted into $140.00 CDN.
They have the absolute worse return system. Ordered vitamins at a great price that arrived spoiled. They agreed to take them back on their 100% satisfaction guarantee, but it took 17 days to ship from Atlanta, GA to Fargo, ND where the return center is. Then customer service says it can take up to 30 days to process a refund after arrival. WHAT?! But she would be so nice and issue a refund now that would take 3-5 business days. They like keeping your money unless you push them
I have been ordering from Swanson for about 17 years. The last couple of years I have noticed the customer service was horrible and charges were not correct! I have not been able to order anything in the last 8 months. I'm not able to login to my account, I have tried contacting the company in every way possible. Live chat, emailed several times, tried phoning several times! Absolutely no one has gotten back to me. Obviously they do not want my service or maybe the business is no longer running. I have done some research and found out that the original owners have sold the company to obviously someone who cares more about profit than the health and wellness of their customers. So I've decided to look into another company.
When you purchase from the Swanson website, they will not process your order unless the billing address & shipping address are the same. You can forget about buying anything as a gift or shipping to a P.O. Box. When you call their customer support for help, you will be left on hold for extended periods of time & hope you don't get the rude rep I had to deal with. We won't be recommending this business to anyone. If I could give them a lower rating, I would.
After placing an order, 22 days later it was still processing and during that time items became "unavailable and out of stock". I never had trouble with them in the past but I won't ever order from them again.
I have been using a certain product for over 29 years. I have purchased it from many sources. Its price fluctuated between $8-$9. My last purchase from Swanson in Feb was for $8.29 per bottle. Today, it was $14.85. I chatted with their representative regarding this drastic price change. Their answer was that they were notified of the change yesterday and it was due to Covid. It told her to keep it until the Covid effect was over. This is not my first time encountering their unethical and crooked games. I made my purchase from another company (Vitacost) for $8.61.
I made the mistake of making a purchase from Swanson vitamins. They blew my email up so bad I had to spam them. I'm talking three or four emails every day. I hit the unsubscribe button so many times to no avail! I can't stand companies that do this! They harass you into thinking you may want to buy more! Absolutely the opposite! I just checked my spam folder there has to be a couple of hundred emails from them! I would rather buy the vitamins in a store and not have to give out my email
Swanson sent me an easy order after confirming that I had canceled the order. UPS said only they could cancel an order in transit. I contact them and they said there was nothing they could do that I'd have to wait until I received it then refuse delivery. This ties up my money for at least a week while I have to do all this plus I have to run it into town to the ups store to send it back because they will just drop it and run. Meanwhile Swanson will have use of my money for a week gathering interest when I have proof it was their fault. Their vitamins don't even work which is the worst part. I'll purchase locally from now on so no one can "accidentally " send me too much stuff.
I made a purchase of 5 items the most expensive@$49.99 retail. The items were purchased via a phone order pursuant to an e-mail coupon for 25% of my entire order.
When I received the order and enclosed invoice the above item was billed at full price of $49.99 instead of $37.50 I confirmed the price of $37.50 with the sales agent at time of purchase.
I've called three times each time I am in cue for more than 30 minutes until I just hang up. This long hold time is no accident. The order line is fast and quick to take your money, but Customer Service is slow to non-existent to address a problem.
Been buying at Swanson for decades. No big issues except it was slow. I asked them to speed up the delivery if possible they have.They did add a fee on free shipping at times for a $1.79 not often. I checked around did not find any better for the price and quality.
I have a friend who is a scientist and got him to check the contents of my tablets and found them not to be genuine products. They were filled half with the actual diluted product and the rest filler. These people are absolute con artists
I placed an order and selected the free 2 day shipping offered by Swanson as Shoprunner. Total BS! My package is now 10 DAYS out.

I didn't complete my order after noticing they added S&H to my order on the final screen for an order that was supposed to have free shipping claiming that "due to weight" some orders have to have this added. I was ordering 3 small bottles of vitamins (not bulk sizes or anything - 60 caps in each bottle) and they added $6 of S&H on the very last screen where the final submit button is located. I haven't ordered from Swansons for a few years, but this is a text book bait and switch and very deceptive practice. I would have respected them more if they just increased their free shipping threshold dollar amount or just didn't offer it at all if they feel they need to add S&H at the end essentially for the entire cost to ship the product. I ended up just clearing my cart and purchasing a similar product from another website and likely will not be back to Swansons if this is their way of doing things.

Cannot complain about their products though their prices varies from month to month but their customer service is totally lousy. For that reason I will no longer buy from them and advise you to do the same. They could care less for repeat customers or any customers.

Answer: This is fake. FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF When I order 15 bottles they made many reasons. First, The Credit card address (But all the time same) Second, The Shipping address is supposed to same. Third, Not allow resale so only we can order 5 bottles. Fourth, Out of Stock (Cannot sell this product) = Only allow to order "Swanson's product" = Cannot cancel (If we need a refund after receive and returning) Finally, i can discount some of Swanson's Products.
