I purchased 6 jars of again Safflower mayo as I can't find it locally anymore and some supplements and otc pain pills. They threw everything in loose with little to no padding. 3 jars of mayo completely shuttered, Glass and mayo all over. Mayo expiration date is in 2.5 months. I called customer service and they wanted me to dig through the glass and nasty mess and keep whatever was not broken. I cut my hand trying to get the pill bottles and the other jars cleaned. The customer service will only replace the 3 broken jars. They did not care about the expiration. I should have just put a return label and send all the mess back to them so they can cut themselves with the glass trying to clean it. Very unhappy with the purchase and will not buy from swansonvitamins ever again.
Placed needed vitamin order May 26, finally received June 12. The order sat at DHL hub 90 miles away since June 1! This is unacceptable. Received in a mylar bag way too large for it with no padding, bottle just rolling around in it. Who knows if the vitamins are any good, now that they've sat around in 90+ degree Florida heat in a hub for 11 days. CS number associated with the order didn't even answer phones at 4:30 pm Eastern time!
With numerous reviews regarding shipping issues this company needs to obviously change their shipping method. Sounds like they don't care about customer satisfaction. Waiting 17 days for an order is unacceptable! Will never purchase again.
Nothing has changed since my last review of Lee Swanson and his company. Just read the most recent comments from others, and you will know why. He enjoys his multi-million dollar apartment in NYC, while his staff treats his customers like@@#$%^. One of his latest teasers is to email you "coupons" a day after you placed your order. But don't try to get refunded for the difference, his staff will act like you're taking money from their pockets! As I once suggested, take your business to Vitacost; they have quality, price AND service.
I've ordered a lot of vitamins from this site over the last few years and they've slowly been going downhill. They used to have free shipping offers quite often. Those disappeared & it seemed like they only sent offers if I left items in my cart for a couple of days. Lately those have gone away too. Recently I've noticed they send a coupon the day after I place an order. This would be nice if it was good for more than 3 days!
They do have good prices though. Maybe next time I need some vitamins I will order one item & wait for them to send the usual email coupon, then order the rest & use the coupon.
I have not had to make any returns, so haven't experienced the same problems as other reviewers.
I've used Swanson a few times but this last time was a big disappointment. Delivery took 1 month and not the 2-5 business days promised, tracking did not provide much information and customer support was non-existant. Delivery cost me nearly $40 so I think I am entitled to complain about such poor service.
It's such a shame as Swanson used to be really good.
I purchased many items from Swanson for 6 years. I finally stopped last September. All of a sudden they started this fuel surcharge. $1.99. Please. First they tell you you have free shipping, then if your order goes over 1 pound, they charge this ridiculous fuel surcharge fee. (this is what I was told by the customer service rep).
You could purchase $200 worth of vitamins, which would certainly weigh over 1 pound and you could get hit with the fuel surcharge fee. It's petty and a stupid business practice.
I won't order from them again until this dumb fee is revoked
I read a lot of bad reviews about this company and was hesitant to order, but their prices were so great, I decided to give it a shot. The order went through seamlessly with the additional site coupon, aside from an extra shipping charge I didn't notice at check out despite the coupon saying free shipping over $50. Some reviews had stated they were charged incorrectly, so I called customer service to cancel my order, got through right away, and they quickly refunded the shipping plus gave me an additional $5 off. The box arrived within a few days with all items well packed and in great condition. Terrific value, as some items were 40% below Amazon and other website prices! I would recommend to try this company as I'm glad the negative reviews were not accurate, at least not in my case!
We ordered 10 bottles of sesame seed oil - they were packed very well. As you know, the shippers are overwhelmed due to the pandemic - so a couple of bottles were broken during shipping. Swanson had no objections for a refund for those two bottles. They said they would - and carried through! Kudos to the customer service branch; thank you!
Ordered 3 different products, arrived very promptly even with a note on the order saying to allow extra time with the current shipping delays. All three products are geared toward, heart and cholesterol issues and have noticed some difference in short amount of time so I will continue taking them for long term results.
In 20 years I never received an expired product from Swansonvitamins so not sure what the people producing these scathing reviews on expired products are thinking. They have a 'Manufactured Date" which shows that they are disclosing more then most competitors do. I would admit that they did change their shipping company about a year ago which hurt them badly in customer service. 2/3's of the time I receive my shipment within the 3-4 days of ordering but on occasion it could take twice as long. In short the products are above grade quality at a wholesale price.
I have bought from Swanson for decades and spent thousands of dollars with them plus have recommended them to numerous others. About two years ago their quality deteriorated and I even found empty capsules and parts of capsules in bottles as well as powder loose in separate bottles.
This year they shipped me an order frozen and they want me to return the proof so they can resell that product and eventually refund my money. For five long days I have been treated like trash by their customer service. They keep arguing freezing even creams won't do any harm. The latest stunt is they want me to leave the product outside in an open box and they have placed a tracking number for UPS to
Pick it up (OPEN) so they can then claim it never was sent back or items were missing if it ever arrived.
What changed Swanson? Did they sell out to someone else?
I've been shopping at this website for several years now. They offer a great selection of products from vitamins to health foods. Sign up for their email alerts and begin receiving promotional offers - not like some sites, these offers are worth checking out. Customer service is excellent and sometimes, calling in to place your order will get you even more savings. There are reviews of products which are very helpful. The site is very user friendly and best of all, you can use PayPal for purchases. I highly recommend this site to you.
Quality of products keeps going downhill since Swanson was sold and outsourced to god only knows. I might as well lick the dust off the floor in any factory. And pay close attention to their shipping bait and switch. The chat feature does work but i received 2 vastly different answers from 2 different reps. Who are they hiring and what is their educational background? I've been an RN for 35 years and still know how to say, "I don't know but I'll get the answer for you and then we'll both be comfortable." I simply don't trust the corporation (and is just that.)
Struggling with multiple diseases that no insurajce will cover doctors or medications for, this site has been a literal life saver. I'm now a disabled single mom who doesn't have $5000 a month to throw at doctors and treatments, I've been able to get almost everything I need for an amazing price from Swanson
Want to improve your health? Don't buy from Swanson. I used this company's products for years. Never saw benefit. Then they double charged me for part of my order and after about 50 attempts to correct it, they didn't. It's the same inept no help every single time you try--even with a supervisor. Aside from not correcting overcharging a customer, they also do not care about customer retention. Swanson literally offers the WORST service I have seen in my life.
While Swanson is some of the highest quality products on the market, for the past couple of years they have been sending out items that are about to expire. Supplements I'm supposed to be taking over the next six months to a year expire in a month or in a few weeks. Very poor business practice.
My review must have gotten through because I ordered something, (that I can only get from Swanson), last week and it arrived fresh with expiration dates two years good. Maybe Swanson was getting rid of a lot of warehouse stuff before stocking new items, and I got the short straw. I'm back to ordering from Swanson.
The web site is utter trash. It charged me twice for an order and they refused to issue a refund--they told me to wait a week or so and it would drop off from my bank--meanwhile they kept my money. The herbs are a different color and shade every time I order the same product. Sometimes it's different inside each bottle! The have never heard of quality control. Who knows how much of what, is in those capsules (THEY don't, that's for sure) You call them with any problem and they are totally apathetic and won't bother to fix anything their trash web site caused. Just NOT worth your trouble!
This has happened more than once, but yesterday, every item I ordered was between 25 and 30% off. When I got my order confirmation, all items were normal price before the discounts. This was a difference of $13.56. I'm done with this company.
I have been with Swanson Vitamins since 1998. I have NEVER had an unsatisfactory experience. I look for emails saying 35% or 40% off Swanson brand then I go to town. If it says "up to" then I wait. Website is little slow. If my cart does not reflect all 35 or 40% off, I call and place order over the phone. NEVER had a single problem in 25 Years. Excellent quality! Low Prices! I refrain from ordering during hot months because long ride in hot semi trailers. BUT all vitamins in any store or online took the same hot ride from somewhere. Stock up during cooler seasons. Great company!
I ordered a protein supplement on 17 September. With no advice that it would take two weeks to ship, I was informed on 3 October that it had shipped, and I received it on 8 October, three full weeks after placing the order. This is customer service? Additionally, the package when opened, contained a bunch of third party ads, one of which was for a "one star" rated veteran support charity of which I, as an active Vietnam Veteran have never heard. I wonder how much Swanson is paid to put this crap in their snail paced shipments.

First, The Credit card address (But all the time same) Second, The Shipping address is supposed to same. Third, Not allow resale so only we can order 5 bottles. Fourth, Out of Stock (Cannot sell this product) = Only allow to order "Swanson's product" = Cannot cancel (If we need a refund after receive and returning) Finally, i can discount some of Swanson's Products.
