I used Swanson for years. It was a prime service company with good product selection and prompt shipments. My supplies were delivered within days after ordering. It changed within last two years for worse, much worse. Not all supplies I was ordering before are on its site and it takes sometimes weeks to receive my order. Recently my order (from Jan 01,22) was sent to the address, which was invalid for more than a year and half. Interestingly I have received already a few shipments from Swanson to my current address, so there was no reason to revive the old address. In fact I caught the address mistake on my order the next day after placing the order and sent a corrective email (Jan 02,22) to the Swanson customer service address providing the proper destination. They still shipped my order to a wrong place. My current address was on the Swanson site, but regardless of that and my email they did. The Swanson delivery tracking states it was delivered on Jan 08,22, but not to me, though. I don't know how it will be resolved, but I am totally disappointed and disgusted. I will look for a better service from a reliable company.
Ordered a product from this site, the item was lost in post, customer service told me to wait 30 days for a refund, opened a dispute with payment merchant. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE, AVOID at all costs.
Do not place orders with Swanson. They purposely place you on automatic refill without your consent.
It is difficult to cancel those orders. Very unethical.

I'm a long time customer going on 5-years now and have always purchased large quantities to cover my needs for several months. I take as today, 21 different supplements and vitamins; some are once a day, twice a day, and then there are the three per day. I have also always enjoyed their regular discounting and of course, "Free Shipping on orders over $50!" However, that is no longer true as they have imposed what they're calling a shipping surcharge? My first up-charge was on an order over $250 and I called and was told due to the size of my package, they had to charge me $16 for it due to carrier up-charge. So, I reduced the next order to just over $50 and got charge again, a $1.99 up-charge. This is not free shipping! My question them was, "How can you advertise Free Shipping if you're going to charge anything, regardless of how you state it, a shipping fee?" I'm very disappointed that they're doing this and may begin seeking my needs elsewhere? There are many other reputable sources! Bluebonnet, Jarrow, etc.
Absolutely Not Recommended. Try visacost.com instead. The customer service is horrible, it's like talking to a teenager who has no clue how to speak in the workforce.
I've been ordering from Swanson for years, and today when doing a search to get to the site saw a listing for this one, so I came here. I am confused to say the least, because I place multiple orders a year and have never had a problem, not to mention last night when I placed an order (Friday night) it had already been shipped before bed!
Wait, I can't say I've NEVER had a problem. A couple of years ago, like an idiot I ordered several bottles of the wrong version of an item. I realized my mistake soon after and frantically looked for an email to explain my stupidity. The woman who answered was about as kind as it comes in customer service. Since the order immediately shipped out she re-placed an order with the correct items and refunded me for the one on the way immediately. I was shocked. Obviously I sent it back as fast as possible in appreciation.
Here we have a great business, based in North Dakota that I trust WAY more than Amz for speed, quality, and price (who cares if a sale says "up to"? The prices are STILL the lowest). It's sickening that anyone can just jump on a site and ruin their rep for who knows what reason, hence my need to express MY many experiences. Must be the same rooms of people giving 5 star reviews to every product on that other site mentioned earlier, trying to ensure a monopoly.

My purchase was received in approx. 4 days (very satisfied). The only problem was on of the tea boxes was a little squash, but other than that, I am satisfied and will purchase from them again.
Contrary to what one reviewer stated, the date stamped on the Swanson brand products are not expiration dates -- they are the date of manufacture. According to the site, most products remain at full potency for at least 2 years after the manufacture date.
Depending on when you order, shipping may be free with a certain purchase amount, or it may be a flat $4.99 fee. With the free and standard shipping within the continental US, you can expect to wait 5-8 business days for delivery. That's clearly stated. If you pay extra to upgrade the shipping, the wait time is decreased. There's an entire page about shipping costs and delivery times.
If you signup for the email newsletter, you will get a lot of them. However, you'll also be the first to know about their specials, and some of them are really special.
If you create an account on the site, you'll have quick access to your ten most recent orders. You do not have to register a credit card, but if you do, you won't have to enter that information every time you place an order.
The service is very slow. You have to wait 4 days to expect the beginning of shipping. It is irritating to keep waiting like this. I feel frustrated with each new order.
UPDATE 4: I have contacted the company, and if I spend time uploading documents and mail or fax them, the rep states they will reimburse me for the overdraft fee, as a result of this company deliberately double charging me (it's not a mistake when they've been doing this to customers for years, see Ripoff report). What about late fees for bills I can't pay while they tie up my money? All this because I ordered some vitamins. Here's my original review: Let's see, what is $1 times a million? Now multiply the double charges. I see reviews complaining about this company and their practice of double charging customers, going back over 5 years. The fact that they haven't fixed the issue, tells me their unintended consequences, aren't unintended. Here's how they do it. First they charge you for one product, then they charge you for the rest of the order. Then they charge you again for the entire order. Three transactions. Clearly that extra revenue makes it appear as if the company is bringing in more profit than it actually is, good for stock valuation, no? The profiteering by healthcare companies in this country, especially during this pandemic, is insane. If any of us were to steal money, then give it back after we get caught, we would still go to jail.
I have been cutomer of Swanson for many years. I recently ordered about 10 different vitamins and supplements. When the box came, I opened it as usual and to my surprise a whole slew of live crawling ants came bursting out of the box! It was like in an Indiana Jones movie. I immediately closed to box, but some ants had already crawled out into my kitchen. After my initial shock, I sealed the box and put it outside my door. Then, it took me a while to track down and find and kill the ants that had already escaped. My next impulse was to call Swanson immediately, and explain what happened. I thought they were going to replace my package, and also give full refund for my trouble. But, they said I had to fill out some forms, and tape them to box, then drive all the way to post office to return the package. Meanwhile, I left all the ants that were still in the box. A few weeks later I called, and to my surprise, they said it was EITHER refund or replace the items that were in original package! I was outraged. After all, I'm the one who had to clean up their mess, and deal with possible infestation of my house, I'm the one who had to fill out forms, and drive all the way to post office to return the package. And, for all my trouble, that's all they would do is replace my items? I can assure you and them I will never do business with this company again! It is outrageous for all the trouble I went through, and being long time customer, and have to do all the legwork. I got NO compensation. Just my original items. My advice, never do business with this company!

We're recognized as a registered GMP Facility by NSF International, the world's leading authority on standards development and public safety. We'd certainly be interested in learning more about this situation! Especially since our Customer Service Center focuses on making things right, it certainly would not have been standard procedure to ask you to ship ants back to our facility. I purchased 14 cans of ResistAid from Swanson on Sep 3rd 2020 as it is on sale. As I lived half way across the globe and to make shipping worthwhile, I order in bulk. I should have check the latest review here before making the purchase. It was my first purchase with them though I have bought from other US retailers - Amazon and iHerb, many times, for more than 10 years. I make a fatal mistake of assuming Swanson is similar in terms of service and commitment to quality.
When I received the goods a month later (I use freight forwarder to minimize shipping cost), I was shocked that the product is manufactured on Mar 2015! I contacted them to verify on the expiry date. They told me its on Oct 2020. That means they sold me a product with 1 month expiry date. The shortest I had in the past was 6 months and the retailer indicated that clearly at the product page.
The Customer Service insist that they indicate "Overstock" in the website, which I don't recall seeing. The product page has been removed now I don't even have the opportunity to verify. They also have interesting interpretation to the term "Overstock". They insisted Overstock means product close to expiration date. Have showed them 2 online dictionary definition on "Overstock". Their reply word for word "We would not mark something as overstocked if it was not close to the expiration date." Good to know.
Those in US would be able to return for refund. Unfortunately I would have to pay for my own international shipping fee which cost more than the product itself.
Painful lesson learnt. My first and last purchase with Swanson.
Order Swanson, shipping will take forever. Pay expedited shipping & it's worse. Call service to try to resolve and die frustrated at foreign call center. Aaaaaagh!
I use jr watkins peppermint foot lotion every morning when I get home from work, i'm on my feet all night (10:00pm'6:00am) &my feet are so tired&hurt. Jr watkins peppermint foot lotion feels soooo good&I rub some on my achey leggs too.it"s great product
If this review was a couple of years ago I would have given them 5 stars easy. But not now. I will say that they have excellent prices and very good customer service. BUT... they also have dishonest advertising. When I placed an order with them I would get a pop up ad in a couple of days saying that there were still items in my cart. I couldn't see how this was possible since my cart is what I ordered but I clicked on the ad. Of course there were no items in my cart. It was just a ruse to get me back to their website. Why they think I'd like to be tricked into that for me to buy something right after I had already placed an order is beyond me. After about a week of telling me there were items in my cart I started to get regular ads from them ALL THE TIME. This was for sales of so much off and free shipping. But if you get fooled by this watch out. It just might be a sale IF you buy $60 worth of product. After being a loyal customer of Swansons for many years I will never, ever go back again. Reason #1 is that I don't do business with dishonest people. Reason #2 is that if I placed an order it would no doubt activate all of those ads again and I'd have to put up with that for a few weeks. So goodbye Swanson. It was nice while it lasted. (PS... I emailed them 3 times letting them know how I felt about these ads but they still kept coming)
Okay, this is the third time this year I tried to shop Swanson Vitamins. As I did the first time, I ended up calling & spoke with a representative asking why Swanson would not give me the 40% discount, as advertised on their website. The website does not say, up to 40% off, which he tried to correct me to tell me. Instead, he took my 48.82 number & added 40% to that number & said that I was getting 40% off because that's what the supplements costs. I told him that if the supplements are discounted prices, then the 40% discount should show on that product. Instead of telling me they can't give me more than one promotion, unlike VITACOST. So going round & round with me, he wouldn't give any discount at all. The website is faulty, because once you put in your name & address, then you can't go back to look at your order when your getting ready to pay for it & notice there's no discount. They give you the subtotal without showing you the tax or the shipping so you want to know how they came up with a total at all. Poor website management; come on promotions that are not real! Nothing was 40% off—it was a total con to get you on their website to order! Not sure I will ever want to shop Swanson Vitamins ever again!

First, The Credit card address (But all the time same) Second, The Shipping address is supposed to same. Third, Not allow resale so only we can order 5 bottles. Fourth, Out of Stock (Cannot sell this product) = Only allow to order "Swanson's product" = Cannot cancel (If we need a refund after receive and returning) Finally, i can discount some of Swanson's Products.
