I purchased two bottles of 100mg NAC. While using them, I noticed I was experiencing mood swings and not getting the benefits I generally get from NAC. I purchased another bottle from another vendor (60mg this time) and immediately noticed the benefits. I also noticed the smell of the 60mg tablets--they were funky and sulfury, while the Swanson ones had no smell at all. Don't know what was in there--baby powder? Corn starch? Definitely not N-Acetyl Cysteine.

I have tried to order products from Swanson twice now. Both times there were issues with an out of stock item. Both times I received no notice that items were oos, & there was no notice on the web site. Both orders were processed & money taken out of my account. They also do not have order tracking avaiable to the customer.
Both times I have received misinformation from customer service reps. One told me that if an order is out of stock, the order cannot be completed, yet both times my order was processed & money taken. I was told that emails regarding the oos item were sent to me, (they were not). I was told to check my spam, (I did, no emails). Funny that I had no trouble receiving the several emails they sent asking me to place another order!
I have been told by the company that I am making this up, that I am misunderstanding or not seeing information, ( I am not). It is no wonder that Swanson receives so many bad reviews.

So ive used them for 8 years now. The products are excellent quality and their prices are competitive.
A lot of prices have been hiked but not as bad as other reviewers have complained about.

Very unprofessional people. Wasted my three days every time a new person tells me whole new different story. No one knows the policy of company they are placing orders but then they dnt know the packaging quality or when it will be shipped or how many can come. After making transcation it occures to them that asa new buyer one cannot make such big deal. They said things will be shipped next week and next day I had it in my hands. I mean what kind of unprofessionalism is this?

So like a week ago i ordered some stuff from swansonsvitamins.com it arrived yesterday so big ups for the speedy arrival and in mint condition um i'm still waiting for packages from a company called xtend-life.com i think um whom i've reviewed, point being there in new zealand which is closer than the states haha like way closer like neyo closer, so anyway swansons if you haven't been to there site check it out it's well layed out i've reviewed them before and i gave it lots of love and now i'm giving it more, 3 products/supplements came to 36 bucks i saved loads ordering from them, i guess i'll call back in soon to let you know if these products work or not. I used to be a frequent purchaser but their shipping and customer service has deteriorated such that one does not know when the products will arrive. Will not be buying from them any more.

Ignore planted reviews! I was a customer for 35+ years and, after Lee Swanson sold out to an LBO group the company has gone so far downhill I am DONE. I am now buying from VitaCost and iHerb with a few Lucky Vitamin orders thrown in. The customer service is APPALLING. The company is untrustworthy - expired products. The promos are sleazy. Add cheap fillers being used. Cheap, slow shipping. Instead of shipping to my home vs my PO Box - which I have stipulated for DECADES - they sent my package to the PO Box. I go to the post office once a month. When I called they would not make it right. THEIR FAULT. Would not make it right. Thank God they have competition. STAY AWAY!

I've been a dedicated on-line Swanson customer for 20 years and have received quality products and good customer service consistently, but that has changed with my last order. I've been using Swanson eye cream for years. The price is similar on Amazon or the Swanson site: Approximately $15 a 1oz jar or $25 for a 2 pack. When Swanson offers a BOGO on either size, I purchase it! Such was the case last week when the 2 pack was advertised "BOGO 2 pack". When I received my order instead of the usual 2 pack, I received 2 separate 1 oz jars. I called Swanson sales support and spoke to a customer rep and then a supervisor. They said Swanson was no longer offering single bottles but only 2 packs and that the 2 pack was $25. They said the BOGO was one 1 oz bottle plus a free 1 oz bottle. If the price of a 2 pack is $25 and I paid $25 for two one ounce bottles, what is the BOGO? If 1 oz bottles are no longer available, why did my receipt list one 1 oz bottle sold and one 1 oz bottle free? The two men didn't provide a credible response... they just repeated 1 oz bottles were no longer available and the BOGO was two 1 oz bottles until the I finally just gave up. BTW the product is available on Amazon for $15 and $25
For 1 oz and 2 pack respectively.

Swanson Vitamins claim on their order page that the customer will receive their order within 2-5 days, which as it turns out is nothing but a load of false and misleading tuchus!
The last order I unfortunately placed with these knowningly online scammers arrived 11 days after the order was placed!
Is it any big surprise that Swanson's BBB rating is tanking?

On Dec. 15th I ordered Avocado oil from Swanson for $12.98. They informed me
That they were out of stock. So they sent me a refund check for $12.98. I deposited
It in my bank only to find out that the check that they sent me bounced. I called them
About it only to find out that they told me that it was cashed, and that I was to check
With my bank. The bank told me that the check brand, or holder was not honored,
And that I was to go back to Swanson for a check reissue. When I called Swanson,
They told me that it was cashed. I told them that they are liars, and rip off artists.
I never saw the $12.98.
It took two months to try and resolve this issue, which it still is unresolved. This was
A very bad experience for me. I now do business with Nutrition Express.
New Swanson customers beware!

Swanson was once an excellent place to do business with. NOW THEY ARE A NIGHTMARE. Ordered package on the 15th of this month. Today is the 24th and was told delivery will be on the 31st. Are they using a bicycle to get here?

Complained to Manager... his explanation was it is Christmas time. On the day I made this order, I also ordered from 3 other vitamin stores. All of the others presented me with my orders by the 17th. Obviously SWANSON does not live up to their guarantee anymore!

I recently bought 4 bottles if probiotics and could not apply the two promo discounts that were advertised no matter how many times i tried. I figured its clearly a scam….

I seek and compare products via Google and Swanson often has the lowest price shown. But... as you continue to do this, the PREVIOUS item prices change upward and cost more. It was explained to me today by a supervisor that you can only have ONE PROMOTION per order AND THESE GOOGLE PRICES ARE CONSIDERED BY THE COMPANY TO BE A PROMOTION -- so that each new item you put into your cart increases the cost of the one before. Also, if you use a PROMOTIONAL CODE, this will cause your order to go up also (again, only one promotion per order...). By any reasonable person's viewpoint, this is a SCAM. It's extremely confusing and the customer has no way of knowing that the Google price listed is "promotional". Don't waste your money, breath, or time on this corrupt company.

I have read that they became a disaster in but this is a fraud.
I have to travel and I would like to take my vitamins with me. I put the order and in the chat they suggest me that I have to pay the most expensive delivery, 35 US$. I paid, big was my surprise when not only I have to pay again the delivery but also I have to pay the double for taxes, Fedex says that it is the tax office, the tax office says that it is Fedex.
THIS IS NOT THE WORST, they didn't send me the products I paid I asked 3 of a type and they send me only one and another, that I didn't ask that costs 4 times less.
They said that they are going to send me the money, but I paid double with taxes and delivery. I asked that they send me the products that they didn't send in the same conditions, and they must pay the taxes, not they don't do that. FRAUD!
