I bought tickets to the weekend concert and they double sold my ticket. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. Both of my tickets were together we're very pricey. Then they said they could get me new seats and they never did I drive 3 hours and I didn't even see him. This company is fake. DONT BUY TICKETS FROM HERE!
StubHub operates the business like an Indian scam call center. No surprise since that's all you're going to be able to talk to in order to resolve a situation. The site is programmed to stall and have hangups so that it makes you list multiple times. They hold your tickets hostage once you do and will NOT work with you after you explain it was the website's fault. Multiple calls with multiple people in an endless frustration. DO NOT EVER GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. YOU WILL GET SCREWED.
MY FIRST TIME BUYING TICKETS ON THIS SITE FOR A CONCERT, WHEN PURCHASING THE TICKETS, IT SAYS SEAT 1 AND 2, SO I PAID $80.00 EACH, HOWEVER, THE DAY OF THE CONCERT, ONLY TO FIND OUT, THE TICKETS DOES NOT ASSIGN TO A SEATS. VERY DISAPPOINTMENT.
Their information is inconsistent unreliable, they hide their return policies, they're overpriced. Oh AND they hang up on your face. Overall so respectful.
We went to purchase tickets for a football game and we're able to get some that were resold. We drove 2 hours to the game and got there and got and a half early. Our tickets never showed up and never got any word from stub hub. We called their customer service number and we're told the person never sent them tickets and asked if we'd like replacement seats. So we did, he said e we should get our tickets in about 3-5 mins. 20 mins later, still no tickets. Called again, this guy was rude, said the seller had an hour to respond. At this point the game was about to start. Waited for the end of the hour, still no tickets. Called again, lady answered and said that they were again not sent over by the new seller, said she could have me replacement seats again, which could take another hour, or refund our money. We opted for the refund. We already missed the first quarter of the game. Ended up going to seat geek and bought 2 tickets for a quarter of the price and got right in. Took 5 mins. Now we wait for our refund. Ugh
I'd give it 0 stars if I could, I ordered two tickets from their website, they were supposed to arrive within 4 days, a month later, still no sign, I contacted stubhub to ask where my tickets were they told me they'd tried contacting the seller but no response and they'd get in touch when they hear back from the seller. 2 more weeks passed and still no sign of my tickets or hearing back from stubhub, I contact them again for them to tell me to contact them in another weeks time because the seller had a 'good reputation' and they will 'sub' me my order if still no sign... 1 week before the concert(already paid for hotel and travel) I'm still waiting on them "subbing" my order. I will not be using this site again; I've constantly had to chase the customer support for answers and each time they've been vague in their responses and I've been told to be "patient". I'm out of pocket by £100 and no doubt having to pay cancellation fees on my hotel and travel expenses as i haven't a clue what they will "sub" me with!
Shocking customer support, will not be using again!
They sent the wrong tickets. Called and complained. They assured us correct tickets would be sent within 2 hours. No tickets. Missed the symphony. DO NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY. WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN.
I've used a lot of ticket exchanges but rarely use StubHub. I had to use them recently and was reminded why I avoid them at all costs. Do yourself a favor and look everywhere else first!
After posting tickets for sale on Stubhub I decided to give them to charity instead, but told the priest that I could only do this if the tickets had not already sold.
I went to the Stubhub site and deleted the listing, even took a screen shot of the "You have no listings" page. A few minutes later when I got off the phone from giving the tickets to our church, I got an email from Stubhub - "your tickets have been sold."
They can do the same thing to anyone who lists and then deletes the listing for tickets. They can set up a program that sends an email to anyone who deletes a listing saying "your tickets have sold" then charge you if you don't have the tickets. You're stuck paying the fee.
Besides the screen shot they can track that I went on the page to delete the listing AND it would have been better for me to sell the tickets than to give them away - the tax deduction is not as much as having the cash.
Stubhub did not except my evidence that I deleted the listing and charged me.
List on VividSeats - they send a confirmation asking if you still have the tickets, which would have prevented this scam.
Order #******* - its been over a month and I still have not been paid. Can't get a response from StubHUb anywhere. Twitter, email, community, phone! STAY AWAY!
I bought 2 tickets for over $3000 to a final tour event with their "Fanprotect" guarantee. We are not event goers. Event was cancelled. They refuse to refund cash, they will only issue a coupon that expires end of 2021. They changed their refund policy AFTER I bought the tickets and made it retroactive to any event that was cancelled. They are basically extorting me and forcing me to apply my money to a future event. So if I don't want to attend an event in the future, I just lose my money. How is this legal? There are a few states that have laws to protect consumers from this type of abuse (14 I think) but the rest of us are just out of luck. Do not use this company. Obviously they feel they can change their policies at any time they want to line their coffers. I tried getting resolution on their community page (you can't get through on the phone) and just kept getting told "This is our policy." If you disagree in any way on their community page they just delete your comments and eventually ban you from the site. There is a class action lawsuit that I hope gets justice for all of us affected. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!
I have been using stubhub for its convience and its prices until recently. I wanted to sell tickets for a concert that i couldnt attend. The first day i put them on the site, there were buyers! Great! So i mail them ( week of the concert) and the day before the concert, the buyers canceled on me( so i basically lost 153$) when i REALLYYYY could have gone but had to work instead. If i knew the buyers would cancel the day before the event, i would have just called in sick to work to attend the concert and not waste 153$. Stubhub told me the day after the event that i basically lost my money. Couldnt they have told me earlier? Or atleast refunded my money.
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!
One star obviously since we can't give zero stars.
SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. ANY 5 STARS ARE MEMBERS OF THEIR SCAM TEAM. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM. Thankfully, I purchased through PayPal and disputed the charge. Was charged $879 for tickets NEVER received. They send you an email saying the money did not go through and cancel your order. All the while, you are charged; they try to induce a second sale. It was obvious their scam and went to my resolution center@ PayPal and received my refund. When buying tickets, I'd advise to do your research but ALWAYS go through PayPal. Eventually, they will get their PayPal account rescinded. These are slimy, LOW GRADE bottom-dwellers. DON'T BE FOOLED.
If I could give it zero stars I would. That one star is for the fact that they did return my money 3 days later. But they sold me 2 tickets to a preseason bulls game 4 hours before the venue. Sent me 2 confirmation emails but never sent the e-ticket email. I called I was on hold for 20 minutes. Woman said she would send the email then put me on hold for another 8 minutes to then come back and say sorry for the inconvenience but we're refunding your money tickets are not available. While I'm standing right there at the arena with my date waiting to get in. Absolute JOKE! How are the tickets not available but you took 125 out of my debit card. Why would you sell them to me if it was too close to the venue!?!?! I asked for a supervisor and I said is there ANYTHING you can do for the extreme inconvenience he said that doing anything for me would be out of his reach and I'll be receiving a refund the next day. Last time I will EVER use this service for any venue. Luckily a scalper sold me 2 tickets for 100 section 100 row 2 better seats at a batter price at the arena. **** STUB HUB!
Just had the ABSOLUTE WORST experience with STUBHUB! They sold me FRAUDULENT tickets, would not call me back as promised (I had to call them 3 times today) and then would only REFUND my ticket as a GIFTCARD! Now I am STUCK with a GIFTCARD that I can't use for a concert I can't go to! What is even worse is that this is a company that has over $100 million in revenue and they are not willing to offer a $125 payment back to me. I WILL NEVER use or RECOMMEND this company again. If you think that you are FAN PROTECTED, guess again! I would give them ZERO or NEGATIVE stars if I could!
If I could give zero stars, I would... Stubhub doesn't deserve even 1 star.
I had purchased 2 Tina Turner musical tickets but was unable to attend due to a sudden death in the family. So I listed the tickets on stubhub.com on 10/7/21 evening, then deleted the listing through the app a few hours of creating the listing (the listing was created through the website). I doubled checked the listings page to ensure there were no active listings. I thought that was the end of that... wrong. 3 days later, I received an email that the tickets had sold even though there was no active listing. So I called the 'customer no support' number, waited 2 hours to speak to someone about StubHub's technical failure, explained the situation about deleting the list through their app, and inquired if there was seamless integration between the website and app transactions. The support agent said she would mark the support ticket "Urgent" and I would receive an email with their response within 24-48 hours. It is 4 days (96 hours) and still no response. I did call them within 24 hours of the first call, but I waited 3 hrs and had to hang up without resolution This company is a complete fraud, scamming sellers and buyers alike, claiming a 'friendly and supportive customer service' line, which is a complete lie. I will never ever use this site again.
If you value your money, time and health... choose another company who is honest, has morals, and true to their word. You have been warned.
Btw, the parent companies of Stubhub are eBay, Viagogo, viagogo AG
I have never had a less pleasant experience with a website. I consider myself pretty tech savvy but after 4+ hours of trying to navigate through posting tickets for sale on this rediculous website I am beyond frustrated. They offer no real help on how to upload a pdf of your tickets, send you to blank pages, and delete your information. I finally thought I had my tickets listed and then I check back and they marked it as an expired listing. AFTER SIX HOURS! When I had specifically put expires in three days. AWFUL WEBSITE DONT BOTHER. I wish I could give 0 stars.
I bought tickets to blue mans group for a date. When i got there the tickets were fake. Stubhub refunded the tickets but did not compensate me at all for having such an awful experience.
This is my go to way to buy tickets to almost any event. It is so easy and the tickets are guaranteed making it a lot safer than buying on craigslist or some other site.
StubHub policy is to charge the seller a replacement cost should the seller decide to no longer sell their tickets and StubHub had found a buyer. I listed tickets but was able to sell on my own and get reimbursed immediately (StubHub pays AFTER the concert). Before I had a chance to remove my tickets from StubHub, I received an email stating that my tickets had been sold. When I called to let them know the tickets were no longer available, they told me that I had to pay the difference between what their purchaser paid for my tickets and what they paid to replace them. I am out almost $500! Which means that they listed my tickets at a ridiculously low price (their recommendation). DO NOT USE STUBHUB IF TRYING TO SELL TICKETS FOR ANY TYPE OF EVENT.
Answer: That's my assumption. Some other people on this site might be able to answer that from actual experience.
Answer: They sell tickets they do not actually have yet. They started selling tickets for a Garth Brooks concert in Salt Lake City before tickets even went on sale. They have no way of knowing if they will actually get tickets to fulfill orders, and just cancel the order the day before the event if they don't have the tickets. Its pretty much a gamble with Stub Hub if you will get your tickets or not.
Answer: Stub hub only does resales so they can rip off the seller as well as the buyer
Answer: Hello Gisela! We aren't able to have you sell will call as an ID will need to be presented for pick up. Hope this helps!
Answer: Hi Rachael, If you purchase a ticket labeled as Instant Download you will receive your ticket as soon as you order. If you purchase a mobile ticket or electronic download then you will be notified when your ticket is ready. Which would be no later than the date advised when you purchase. It is very rare to not have your ticket prior to the day of event. There are only a select few shows that require ticket delivery day of event. I hope this helps and we are here to assist if you have any additional questions!
Answer: Some of these sellers do not own the actual tickets so they are buying time to get the tickets from someone else who can't attend the event and wants to sell their tickets.
